4-5-1

Featured Replies

From what Ive seen of both, (and Im off to the Hibs Aberdeen game tomorrow to check them out) Hibs are a far superior team to Utd, but Levein is the superior manager. Hibs will look to get at us, as I presume Utd set out to do today.

We have beaten the best organised side in the league.

4-5-1 it is.

I'd stick to the 4-2-3-1 for the time being because it is both defensive and attacking which might work well against Hibs and Celtic.

4,2,3,1.  4,5,1.

Its all the same folks :017:

Away from home it may well be used, dont think home fans would be that happy with it unless vs the old firm etc

Agreed, but our next two home games are Celtic and Hibs who I presume come under the above category.

We played 4-1-4-1 today as we regularly used to adopt away from home. IMHO that is how we should play most away games - playing to our strengths. Our only problem at the moment is that we really do not have a striker who can effectively play in that role at home - I would always plump fer Bayne away - with Wyness and Niculae (at the moment) in a 4-4-2 at home or Bayne and Wyness in a 4-1-3-1-1.  :011:
