Bit of a reserve line up from Man Utd. Man Utd: Kuszczak, Brown, Ferdinand, Smalling, Fabio Da Silva, Valencia, Fletcher, Gibson, Park, Rooney, Hernandez. Subs: Van der Sar, Owen, Anderson, Giggs, O'Shea, Jonathan Evans, Macheda. A win is too much to hope for* but it's possible Rangers could hold them to a 0-0. Still, I fancy it'll be a small win to Manchester. Glad to see Whittaker's back. I'm a big fan of him when he's in midfield. I think he should make a long-term decision to switch there from full-back. No Fleck in the Rangers line-up/subs though. Don't know if he's injured or just a flash in the pan. Tough night for Kenny Miller, although I know next to nothing of Smalling. Weiss is probably the secret weapon in reserve. If they keep it tight, then, with the clock running down, I could see him causing a bit of trouble coming on for the perennially disappointing Naismith (I thought he was going to be a much better player than he is). Rangers: McGregor, Broadfoot, Weir, Bougherra, Papac, Whittaker, Davis, McCulloch, Edu, Naismith, Miller. Subs: Alexander, Lafferty, Foster, Beattie, Weiss, Little, Hutton. *and yes, I do hope the Scottish team beats the English team, be that Rangers, Celtic, Ross County or Formantine Thistle. Mind you, won't stop me smiling if they get cuffed.1 point

Dont think anyone is saying that all our fans were whiter than white. However it was all so heavyhanded when a bit of humour and tact would have gone a long way. i was sitting about 3 rows from the back in front of the young crowd and we had hardly kicked off when the stewards were climbing over the top of my knees to get to the younger ones further along the row. The woman steward in question was just so rude telling all around that dont even bother answering her back or youll be ejected. This was carried out for just asking a question? Im a middle aged mum not known for being a hooligan who felt surrounded by the second half just because of where we were sitting. I was there with my 2 sons who I teach to respect the police but surely respect has to be 2 way. it just all seemed to be so ott and unneccessary. dont think Peter Paul is a known hooligan either but he was treated disgracefully as well. I dont expect anything to be done about any of this and just emailed Hibs to see if they would even reply. I just dont like the way paying customers are treated sometimes and have really never felt the need to come on here and moan like this before.Have been other places with awkward stewards but most of the time they are just doing their jobs.OK RANT OVER1 point

alright there crofters! hope you all got back to your sheep and turnips safe and well, obviously gaining a point would have made the long journey easier and respect to everyone of you who took the time to travel and support your team. in terms of football you got some good players and made some lovely moves at times. obviously hibs are underperforming with a *** for a manager and twatbags like Nish upfront however the reason i chose to post on your board was to apologise for the treatment of your fans by the Edinburgh polis & hibs stewards. we were in the East stand and everyone around us was saying what a fecking joke it was and that it was well out of order. so although it is actually fuckall to do with me personally or any hibs fans, i just wanted you to know we thought it was shocking and you should make a official complaint, it was intimidation by the police and all you's were doing was standing up! ffs anyway hope you get relegated cause i hate having to travel away up there ;) later teuchters1 point

DD - I understand that this could have been a ploy of the Stewards as they were clearly finding it difficult to back up their decision to eject me - but it is not the first time that I have been "targetted". As far as I am concerned I know that I am a drink sodden, immature, sometimes embarrasing old tatwt at games but at the end of the day - my alter ego on here is a deliberate wind up and most fo the peeple who I pissed off end up having a damn good drink wiv me - I am ICT to the core, I will follow and follow, I will sing and sing and sing - and encourage all others to follow suit. But football is a religion and should be an enjoyment. In my book the only thing that i do wrong is to stand up at a game. And I am just like a growing throng of ICT supporters who travel around Scotland following their team - not to cause trouble and not to cause strife - but to have a feckin good day out and enjoy themselves - an Away support that could evelop in to the best craic around. Feck the authorities - Lets feckin Rock Paisley1 point

...that is worrying! I agree 100% by the way but if dedicated fans like you are switching off then we're on a slide. The stewards, and to an extent, the polis approach to the ICT travelling support is well-documented of course. We're a smaller bunch (pound for pound probably noisier!!) and, not coming from the big rough sweary sectarian cities, we're easy game for the power-confused. Give a man a high-viz uniform and watch the true character surface. But Gringo, my advice (like you asked for it!) is to look at it like the weather, it pisses (nowt I can do about it), it's bollock-freezing (nowt I can do about it), the referee is a tool (nowt I can do about it)...the stewards? (nowt I can do about it). But the sheer thrill of seeing our lads give these knobend clubs a game absolutely rides roughshod over the many drawbacks. The sensible post-match DU fans and a Hibee father overheard yesterday saying "that's a tough side to break down" to his son as we walked back to the car...that's the reason, that's the choice you make! Don't give up please. The Gringo clan would be badly missed. By the way, I'm commuting from Rotterdam...your move! :biggrin:1 point

AndyM - We all now know who you are based on your comments on here and on P&B. As admin I have also performed enough additional checks to be sure of it. You are not welcome on this board under this or any of your other IDs past, present or future (including the account I have just deleted that was registered this morning).1 point

People who know me also know that I celebrate rather than criticise things like this. For instance in my latest book, there are passages of dialogue written specifically in the Sneck dialect. For the benefit of those who don't, use of the word "classic" in the OP was maybe a strong hint!-1 points

It's a pity that it's the fans who are losing on here. Less revenue for their club and less money for players etc. Tannadice and Easter Road are no-nos for me now. Ill still meet up with folks pre and post match but will just go for something to eat when the game's on.-1 points

Not everybody that attended the game was spoken to by the police/stewards. I enjoyed the afternoons entertainment, but why do we need to have our own fans indulging in this game with the stewards. This comment may not be to everyones liking, especially those that were targetted by the stewards, but lots of folk attended the match without any hassle. I appreciate that the stewarding was not handled very diplomatically, but why is it always the same ones under scrutiny? Does that mean that stewards across the country are all wrong or god forbid, are there some fans not adhering to the policies within the SPL stadiums. In fact, this goes on all over the leagues if they care to uphold the letter of the law. We were asked to sit down at QOS last season. I stood up on occasion at Easter road but being longer in the tooth than most, I sat down after my outbursts and nobody approached me. It takes two to tango, so unless we are squeaky clean and within our rights, then do we have a leg to stand on............erm, maybe thats not the wisest cliche to use, but you know what I mean. They have the CCTV footage, not us.-2 points
