  1. Brian Reid appears not to be very bright and has given a tabloid the kind of gift they usually only dream about. Once the pyramid gets underway, there are a few clubs like Albion Rovers who will end up playing in the LL or HL if they cannot sustain playing nationally. In fact Rovers are lucky still to be in the SPFL at all, as they owe it to Berwick’s collapse at the end of last season, beginning when Rovers miraculously gained 6 points In a single day when they had only collected about 8 in the whole season. Cove would certainly have thumped them in the playoff.
  2. 100% agree with this. There may be some overlap but it's great for ICT fans to have all this stuff to listen to especially just now in the absence of football. At the end of the day we'll both probably be subsumed into The Athletic anyway...
  3. Think it's important not to compare. Both provide something similar but different and brilliant. Here's to the success of both of them.
  4. Steven Mackay has summed it up quite well... https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/highland-league/2265200/brora-manager-mackay-plays-down-comments-from-rovers-boss/ Also sent Albion a PM asking if the comments reflected the views of the club, because it's entirely unprofessional to vote no cos it's "too much of a trek" then say it's a "birthday relief" that the reconstruction talks got smothered. This is people's livelihoods we're talking about here, not only would the players be grown by playing professional football, but the village would severely benefit due to the inflow of all the fans from around the country.
  5. What a selfish, self-centred dick! Never mind what damage we'll inflict on others, we can save a few bob! Albion probably have one of the shortest total away mileages over a season. I would imagine there were likely similar feelings in other central belt clubs, must have been with so many voting against the proposal. Teams with a remote geographical location like Brora and the rest of us in the Highlands face far higher costs with more frequent long distance away days. If this is going to be a major factor in decision making for the lower league clubs then nothing will ever change. Perhaps we do need to look at a league structure with a North/South divide for the lower leagues. Albion could then happily just play against their local pals.

Brilliant again guys. All sounds very promising for the future of our club. Lots of seeds being sewn by the sounds of it so lets hope they can grow and not be poisoned by Covid19. Well done.
  7. Some players/managers just 'fit' a club. Robbo is one of those. Given the resources he has had (or more specifically not had) he has done remarkably well for our club in his management career and I hope to see him continue in that role for many years to come. You want to sanctify Yogi or Butcher - go ahead. Personally I wont try and tell you that you are wrong. Both had wonderful moments in charge of ICT and have a rightful place in our history. Getting us back to the Premiership, winning us the Scottish Cup - you cant take any of that away. However, also remember that both of these managers oversaw the greatest budgets in our club's history, one to bounce back to the Premiership and the other whilst we were in it. If you want a manager to make something out of nothing using a budget to match then Robbo is your man , and right here, right now, I would rather have him at the helm than any other manager in our history.
  8. What you on about "overrating him" mans gotten us to 3 Scottish Cup Semis in the 5 years he's been with us, all of which were with a First Division/Championship side. As well as finishing in (what would be) the playoff spots in 4 of those 5 seasons. Including 2 (potentially 3) Challenge Cups.
