  1. Maybe so but there would be plenty of grumbling and a bit of concern if we had lost 7 goals instead of scoring 7. Of course it's very early days but, in the current circumstances, I am inclined to embrace the positive when it comes.

We need to save every penny we can this season so surely, once the clocks go back, there is no need to start games at 3pm for as long as there are no fans in attendance. A 1.30pm kick off means that games could be played out in natural light over the Winter and we could save a few thousand pounds over the piece by not having to power up the floodlights.

    God bless Elgin City.
  4. Feels nice to wake up knowing we have a game today.

Saturday and ICT are playing a game of football. A very welcome bit of (semi) normality restored to life.
  6. I was in Elgin anyway so peeked in at one of the corners (couldn't see much so left at half time). Looked like 4-2-3-1 in the first half. MacGregor and allardice were sitting. Sutherland was out right, McKay left and keatings behind Toddy. Was hard to pass any comment on players due to restricted view.
  7. We may have to work on tightening things up at the back but to score seven on our first outing is very encouraging. Good to see Shane Sutherland making such a positive contribution with two assists as well as winning the penalty.
  8. The trialist is Kane Davis who’s one of the academy boys
  9. I agree entirely that away fans should not be permitted for as long as the virus remains an issue. Apart from the issue of contact tracing, there is the risk of them travelling from parts of the country with significantly higher rates of infection which, in the case of the Highlands, is virtually everywhere else on the mainland. However, should there be spare capacity once season ticket holders have been accommodated, I would see no difficulty with home fans purchasing individual match day tickets provided they are bought in advance with contact details being left with the ticket office. It would help too if fans could download the Protect Scotland App and have their bluetooth on.
  10. Think Shane will be a good replacement for Polworth. And great to see 4 different scorers today. Just need to sort the back out and hopefully we will be contenders this season.
