  1. Does Dodds ever think that it might be his tactics that are questionable? Playing 442 when we have so many first team players our is practically suicidal. Surely first and foremost, we have to set up not to get beat, that means protecting the rookie back four, and having more in midfield to get a handle on the game. Playing two strikers for the whole 90 minutes was the wrong choice in my opinion, but Dodds must have been happy with it as he kept it for the entire game. Let's be realistic, Arbroath will be fighting for their survival in this league, and will throw everything at us, so let us not throw caution to the wind and be stronger, with more numbers in midfield.

  2. I have 3 points which I'd be interested to hear feedback on, feel free to word as you see fit. Given our position within the League structure and financial position, what benefit does having a DoF being to the club at this level and does it offer value for money. An explanation of the expectations and duties associated with the role demonstrating how its in the best interest of the club rather than investing the funds elsewhere would be appreciated. The failed concert venture publicised during the summer, what exactly was the link to the club and how was the structure/premise of the venture planned that it would be of benefit both short and longterm. What can be drawn from the venture that indicates why it failed and lessons learned that can be introduced elsewhere in the club or future opportunities moving forwards. Finally what given this venture is the exposure left on the club including financial and reputation? Again this season we have seen a relatively strong squad assembled which on paper should be competitive and one of the favorites to fight for the title or at least play-off spot. Unfortunately injuries have had effect, therefore are the club in a position to invest to strengthen further in January window? And ultimately how long will the level of current squad investment continue with our (every extending) tenure in the Championship, is it foreseen that there will be a point at which playing budgets are cut or is the level of investment deemed sustainable (play-off challenger level) as I assume we will not perform like other clubs and go with the over-investment (debt) gamble in the hope of achieving Premiership football?

  3. With Cove beating Queens Park, it could be a good day for us with Ayr to play Morton and Dundee playing Partick.........

  4. October started well with 3 wins against Ayr, Partick and Cove. The next three were a draw with Raith, loss to Hamilton and thumping from Morton so the votes were mixed. It was good to see some regulars voting again The winner for October is Zak Delaney With four months in we have six players very close at the top for the Player of the Year. Zak Delaney, Billy Mckay, Robbie Deas, Mark Ridgers, Cameron Harper and Steven Boyd.

  5. Dodds and Ridgers need to sort out there differences this week and put this sorry episode behind them. It seems there has been a problem brewing between the two for a few weeks now. Ridgers form hasn't been great at times recently but he's not been getting a lot of protection from those in front of him. It doesn't help we've not had a settled defence either. If I had to choose I'd much rather have Ridgers in goal than Dodds in the dugout.

  6. Day following the night before: We have more injured than any other team in the league why?Bad luck or is there another reason? We are not sharp enough up front and don't threaten the opposition goal.Oakley and McKay doesn't work. Our midfield are not strong enough and we have lost too many good defenders to injury. Allied to all this the tactics are questionable. However the players don't become bad players overnight, so surely they can get together thrash out the issues, put round pegs in round holes and all make sure they know their role. We huffed and puffed last night, but never looked threatening. However when Morton went forward you had to hide behind a cushion. Time to sit down, reflect address concerns, build up confidence and togetherness and make sure we are never embarrassed on TV again.

  7. I say, Well said, two goalies on from the start would mean a certain clean sheet. One could even go up for corners. Eh what?
