  1. A knighthood for big Rossco, presented on the pitch just before our game on the 25th September
  2. Likewise. Against Fleetwood I thought it was obvious they'd done some work on his body strength since last season. It was Ross who burst past his defender and got in a driven cross for Rooney to flick home.
  3. Oi! If I said that I'd have to walk home!
  4. After all the doom and gloom about Caley Ally..... some good news. Wanderer's wife Yen has presented him with a 7lb baby daughter early this morning.
  5. Looking forward to it.
  6. Not a pleasant environment to spend a Tuesday night
  7. Very shocked to hear this. I think Iain turned up at Ayr and I never got a chance to ask where Ally was. Condolences to Iain, Craig and Lesley.
  8. Au contraire, mon ami, I would say it is you who have dodged it. Surely logic dictates that you have the easy job- proving a positive is far simpler than proving a negative. Just show how he has, quote, "won games for us and scored important goals for us". If you cannot produce such a list, then indeed his contribution to this mighty club has been negligible. Never mind consulting sources, you could do it from memory with other (non-negligible) ICT players such as Denzil or Bobby Mann, so why not with Imrie? Apart from his excellent free kick at Tynecastle, (a game we lost anyway) I cannot think of one thing about Imrie that I will remember in 10 years time, when we're still talking about people like 10cc, Barry Robson, Barry Wilson, Jim Calder, Broonie, etc, etc, etc. Even Alan Hercher gives me more memories of his 2 years or so at this club than Imrie does. Apart from his pace and a strong left foot shot, he is a limited footballer. He runs into blind alleys, has little vision, very little skill and cannot make a pass. I mean when he tries to pass, as opposed to when he's just being greedy. However you seem to think I dislike him personally - not so. I admire how far he has come in the game with so little talent. p.s. I bet you weren't even at the Arbroath game
  9. ..... and you know this how? because I know Guy Kerr. Maybe the correct answer though would be "because I know Dougie' I also know Guy reasonably well and if he was wanting to impress me, I don't think he would have namedropped Imrie- I'm sure he could have said he met Lionel Messi for a pint instead
  10. ..... and you know this how?
  11. Well, since you've got a bee in your bonnet about how Imrie appears to be an ICT legend, and you started slinging the mud at me, even though I wasn't the only poster to criticise him, how about you kick it off by listing all his achievements? Or maybe your interest is not 'football based'?
  12. absolute twaddle!! your basing your opinion on a booking and a sending off which while annoying was borne through frustration?? have you never done anything in the heat of the moment? Imrie was not to blame for that defeat in Perth, our second half collapse was. Twaddle yourself! How do you know what my opinion is based on? Do you always reply to posts without reading them properly?
  13. Hamilton weren't my tip for the drop anyway. Reading the papers people seem surprised by their poor start. My tip was always the Midden followed by Killie.
  14. I was speaking to Guy Kerr a couple of weeks back- he's at Berwick now. He is still good mates with Imrie. However I think Imrie's contribution to the ICT cause is pretty negligible, and anybody who saw the sending off at Perth and the booking at Arbroath will be glad he's buggered off.

    Who runs it then DC?
  16. We went back to the Elizabethan after that game and I could hardly hold the pool cue, my fingers were like something from Cap'n Birdseye. There, 8 months later and I finally thought of an excuse.
  17. Bollocks. There was feck all craic yesterday except breast pumps.
  18. That's absolute garbage though. Over the years the young lads have come out with one or two shockers but with having a small support there's always one of the older ones such as Kath or Ken MacDonald to have a quick word with them if they're out of order. Since we were sitting in front of them we would have heard it. BTW most of the chants are hilarious- well done lads.
  19. On the highlights you can hear the chants of 'Johndo' at about 4.07
  20. Donview will tell you I was called The Deerhunter in a previous incarnation...... back in the days when the Jailender forum was worth visiting.....
  21. Yes but nobody has jokes like yours
  22. Yeah that was one hell of a day out, and two contenders for GOTS already. Have to say the Arabs who were left at the end took it well, so many of them said 'well done' and wished us well. P.S. Johndo missed a penalty
  23. It's worth mentioning what happened at Tannadeechay today. You have to pass loads of Arabs on the way up to the main road after the game. You've no idea how many of them stopped to say 'well done' after we'd annihilated their team 4-0. On the other hand, I've twice been at games when we beat Celtic. Both times their fans were gobbing at us after the game, swearing at female car park stewards, etc etc. DC, there's no way I can say this without sounding patronising. As you get older and see more of the world and meet more people who are not 'Celtic minded' and don't share your conspiracy theories, your views will change. Very few people retain these partisan views into middle age. It's the same with the other lot, except we don't seem to have any of them on this forum. Thankfully ICT are most people's big team as opposed to supporters of the wee team OTB where it seems to be quite common to have a big team.
  24. 1.16am? Hmm, I hope you can translate it for us when you're sober
  25. Nope, me too. What I was trying to ask, but DC seems to think it's perfectly natural: Why do they need to sing political songs AT ALL? Can they no just sing, eh, football songs?
