7031 ?????????
If you saw the highlights on Scotsport from our game on Saturday you'd wonder how Gretna had the same luck twice running. St Mirren must have been really shyte not to score against that lot. Not that I'm unhappy with the result mind :001:

Gretna -V- ICT : matchday thread
Did everybody see the highlights on Scotsport then? Barrowload of chances for us. Shame they never showed the pen claim where Imrie was booked.

Saturdays "Penalty"
OK, just watched these highlights and they're a total joke. The 'pen' was about 3 mins before half time. We'd missed about 7 chances and hit the post by then. Mind you it saves Denzil's embarrassment at missing all the sitters. Also would like to see the booking of Imrie for diving. Another stonewall penalty if you ask me.

I was level with it too and it was a clear pen. Can't say the same about Denzil's body language as he placed it on the spot mind.....

Gretna -V- ICT : matchday thread
A certain player's dad was saying yesterday that Marius had a deid leg. His wallet fell on it.

Dennis Wyness
Yes he got applauded off by us and a wee chorus of the Denzil song. His effort and link play were faultless I would say - chased a lot of balls into the corner and so on, plus the usual turns and layoffs. So far I've avoided mentioning the finishing........

Gretna -V- ICT : matchday thread
Probably should have won 15-0 today. We were poor and only started playing passes in the second half but Gretna are a pub team. Don't know if the highlights will bother showing Tumelty booking Imrie for 'simulation' when he was cemented by the goalie at 0-0. Or failing to book their man for a blatant dive. Personally I thought the first half 'penalty' was well inside. Denzil missed 4 chances before half time, the first one after only 5 mins (Maybe he was doing it deliberately to get away from Brew.....). It was one of those games where the first goal would open the floodgates, like the last time when we got 4. Today we reckoned it should have been 7-0 at half time.

Caley v Clach 1949
I've got it Smee. But I'm just on my way out the door for a week's holiday....... Ciao!

Caley v Clach 1949
Think you're right about the crowd Pimple. I think the Clach Park held about 9-10000 for one game (maybe it was Old Firm Select) but not the Caley Park.

Scottish Screen Archive Thanks to Arbroathawayday for finding this clip. Note that the clip includes 'crowd invades pitch' :015: :015: :015: :015: Obviously they're not familiar with the protocol at the end of Highland League games......

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : matchday thread
Like you, I never thought I would say it, and I was there at the East Stirling game in 1994. Today I decided I simply couldn't be ersed travelling, and wasting admission and petrol money even from the south of Scotland. I had plenty other things to do and even forgot to put on the radio coverage till about half past three.

Would relegation be such a bad thing??
Well I'm sometimes accused of being Mr Nostalgia but even I can see if you're not in the SPL, you're nowhere. If St Mirren, Falkirk and Killie can play there then so can we. But some people need a reality check about the top six. Realistically Scotland has 2 clubs that could play in the English Premiership and 3 who could play in the Championship. So most years, if these clubs are not being mismanaged, that's 5 places filled up in the top 6 before a ball is kicked.

Caley would be just back from the Nou Camp instead of those other muppets that were there last week :crazy07: :crazy07:

We Need A New Manager For Next Season
I wasn't there either today but I reckon that's part of the problem. I can't remember the last time I saw a good fighting performance that would make me want to spend all that money on a 350 mile round trip. So I've only seen 3 away games since New Year. What worries me? Well Gretna have saved us this season but next year is our 5th in the SPL. We want to do better than ?ivi and they only lasted 5 seasons.

Guy Kerr's a centre half last time I checked (and possibly worth a couple of starts after the split, in place of McGuire IMHO). A bit like Caff but more comfortable on the ball and I'd like to see how tough he is. Has he been playing any different position in the reserves?

I've always said we're a poorer side without Russeldinho and it used to be easy to show that by statistics when he was in or out of the team. I'm not going to go over it all here again though I must admit I've only seen about 3 games since the New Year, but I always say, get a playercam on him and see how much work he does. It's up to him if he wants to hold the club to ransom though. I suppose it's also up to him (and his agent) to get the best deal. I think he's on a loser there unless there's somebody in the English Championship wants him (or even League 1). He's never been one to doubt his own ability, shall we say, but I have no problems with that - inject Denzil with some of Russell's self belief and he'll be a world class player. Roscoe23 I can tell you're young because you're right all the time. You'll get less right as you get older, trust me :015: :015: :015: :015:
