  1. England will face the United States, Iran, and either Scotland, Wales or Ukraine in the group stages of the 2022 Qatar World Cup later this year as they were handed a dream draw on Friday. After being drawn in Group B they would face either hosts Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal or Netherlands (Group A) in the last 16. England are on the same side of the draw as France and so could face the world champions in the quarter-finals should they win their respective groups. They could then come up against Belgium or Portugal in the semi-finals followed by Spain, Germany or Brazil in the final. 2 obvious errors in that quote but hey, nothing unusual...
  2. I heard "Dick ******* Campbell" speak at a dinner a few years back and he was hilarious - the tone was set when he apologised in advance to the two women in the front table. The media will have to be on their toes when they interview him each week at five o'clock in the Prem 😂
  3. The first time we went up, we had a solid squad with Wilson, McBain, Tokely, Golabek, Munro, McCaffrey, Mikey Fraser, Duncan, Brown and Proctor while we added a few such as Juanjo, Black, Bayne & Dods. The squad we have now would need a lot more work.
  4. The Mantis replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
I'll have a Peedie in his honour tonight. Rest in Peace Big Man.
  5. Astra game, 2015
  6. Andy Macrae got 3 and looks some player, my MoM apart from his goals. Other scorers Andy Sutherland, Jordan Macrae, Colin Williamson, Martin MacLean. Dale Gillespie played and Tony Dingwall, that guy that the County fans thought was better than Ryan Christie... I went to the game as Turriff was the only ground in the HL I had never visited. Here's Capn Josh who gave himself the first half. Wee Andy Macrae is on the right, Gillespie on the left.
  7. I’m more inclined to think we’re fighting for second place so I’m looking for a late Killie winner to knock the stuffing out of Arbroath and deny them any encouragement…
  8. Scenes in the away end 😎 Flashbacks to the 4-3 game when Foran scored. Thought we were the better side first half although there was a lack of intensity, obviously Dodds thinks they train well so just treat matches like training sessions. Second half we were miles off it and would have got booed off if the game had ended at 1650. Wee Billy must have a sore neck watching all those hoofs going over his head. Aaron’s finished and Broadfoot has played too many games this season for an old man. First two subs made no difference but Cammy and Walsh coming on did. Don’t usually criticise refs but I’ve observed Colin Steven since he started in the non league and he’s consistently hopeless.
  9. If you want a whole album there’s always “One Trick Pony”…
  10. “Learn How to Fall” ”Everything Put Together Falls Apart” ”The Boy in the Bubble”
  11. Quite a list of things happening here… https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/60543803
  12. Unlucky. We’ve probably edged it so far with good efforts from Thompson and Carnihan but HeRts take the lead with their first shot on target. Absolutely Baltic here at Tynie.
  13. Certain ex-posters on here didn't ever really get the concept of "football fan" 😉 Nearly everybody on here is a fan who would contribute more if they could afford it. From anyone who goes to half a dozen games a year, to ST holders, to pitchside boards, to match sponsors and exec boxes, to buying a seat on the board. I've never lived in Inverness, just visited regularly for family reasons since the 70s. My perception from outside is that obviously there are far fewer big-money players than exist in Edinburgh or Dundee or wherever, but the handful who do exist, suffer from massive egos that prevent them cooperating with each other for the sake of the club. [insert tin hat emoji]
  14. Elgin's got Gordon & MacPhail. Dingwall's got... eh... Wimpy.
  15. Given the current level of mutiny apathy whatever, is there still a bus going down on Friday night?
  16. Another Hamilton shoes off protest incoming Friday night.
  17. Away to Hearts on 4th March according to ICT Instagram. Can't find any more details about venue or time as it may clash with our game at Firhill in the evening. I think they play these games at Tynie though as opposed to Oriam, which probably means evening rather than afternoon. The official websites that should have this are worse than useless.
  18. I really miss Gregor who used to post here…
  19. Certainly since we were promoted to the 1st division in 1999-2000, the season we beat Celtic the first time. The standard has dropped overall in 20 years and as I was saying to the guys at EEP last week, the team that reached the cup semi in 2004 and finished champions would walk this league.
  20. Great stuff, anybody know when the draw is? Edit- last time it was played, the draw was 31st Jan and it appeared to be luck of the draw for home advantage. The final was never played though due to COVID.
  21. Are you aware that Dick has got Jack Hamilton and Craig Wighton in? I wouldn’t worry about the depth of their squad compared to ours. As RiG pointed out, you mean the Premiership. The rules regarding seating were relaxed years ago. Palmerston is suitable so I imagine Gayfield is too.
  22. What’s the world coming to when I would have cheered a goal by that Neanderthal Brian Graham 😂 Reassuring that he tries to treat the women’s team as normal human beings…
  23. Also a bit concerned about where the probe ended up.
  24. Very brief. I wonder why he's left. As an aside, delighted to see that @RiG knows the proper use of ellipsis, unlike certain other users of this fine medium 😉
  25. Certain posters may find this of some use 😉
