  1. Confirmed as 7.30 pm at NDP. In the event of Bonnyrigg winning the Lowland League and the playoff against Brora or whoever, this will be an SPFL venue next season. Lothian Buses 31 Bonnyrigg service takes you right outside the ground. The stop is Bonnyrigg Toll. Lothian Buses service 31 Polton Mill - the bus takes a right turn at the toll and stops at Dobbies Road. You have to walk back to the toll, about 200m. None of the drinking howffs in Bonnyrigg can be wholeheartedly recommended ?, although there are 4 or 5 within 2-300m of the ground, including the social club which is at the ground but no longer connected to BRAFC, and the Calderwood right at the bus stop. The best pub in the district is the Laird & Dog at Lasswade, on the bus route, about 1 mile before Bonnyrigg.
  2. Meh. ICT in the Cup is usually the highlight of the season for me. I’ll need to be offered a lift and plied with drink to attend this, when I’ve got Bonnyrigg v Clyde just along the road which will draw double the crowd.
  3. One wife’s enough for me, ugly or otherwise.
  4. Usually an evening kickoff but I’ve seen Hibs and Hearts using the Oriam during the day for this cup. I’ll let you know ?
  5. Alan, I think Storey dropped his magic hat somewhere along the A96 ? He’s about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.
  6. Having entered at Round 2 and beaten Alloa 4-0, ICT have been drawn AWAY to Bonnyrigg Rose in the last 16, to be played on December 6. AFAIK, Youth Cup matches are played at the club's main stadium so this should be at New Dundas Park (where the televised match v Buckie was played recently). I should certainly manage along to this as it is just a mile down the road. The Edinburgh ICT hordes should get themselves on a 31 bus which will take them right to the ground. Obviously Bonnyrigg has nightlife to rival Edinburgh on a Friday.
  7. @RiG leaving early was more of a talking point on the way home than the actual game. Yngwie was restrained in not putting his hands together at the end. I must confess I was shouting abuse at them, for probably the second time in my life. I hope the virus was a big factor as it would explain the second half collapse, but to be honest we were second best in the first half too. The steak and block puddeen pies were good mind.
  8. I see Gorgeous George and B***y M***y both netted in the Hamilton game while Fon Williams and Draper also featured. Oakley's was a decent strike.
  9. Do they provide baby chairs as bar stools?
  10. Other people's words bud, not mine. "Legend" will do for me. Some people say " Russeldinho" was invented by me ?
  11. Can't seem to link to the actual tweet but it comes after this one.
  12. If I've got this right, it's our first visit on league business since March 2003 and we were to go up as champions the following year after losing out to Falkirk. We came from behind to win 3-1. Hislop and 2 from Wyness. If I remember correctly, Arbroath scored right on the half time whistle. The team makes interesting and nostalgic reading: Brown, Tokely, Munro, Mann, Golabek, McCaffrey, Robson, McBain, Hart, Wyness, Hislop. Subs: Fraser, Stewart, Bagan, Keogh, Ritchie.
  13. Yeah, we gave them far too much respect. We're a top 4 side playing at home and we didn't lay a glove on them. We're at our best when we play at a high tempo and get forward and attack teams. Most teams are. It lifts the crowd apart from anything. For all the stick Rice got here, he must be doing something right at Accies. I have to admit I never rated Oakley since the first time I set eyes on him, and his goalscoring rate was poor for us, yet he's been able to step up a division. Never mind, maybe Polworth will come back when he's 34.
  14. I actually agree with @tm4tj, White was no worse than the rest today. But let's turn your statement round. You are always the goto fan to stick up for White. Why don't you stick up for Brad Mackay, Charlie Trafford (especially), or Curry or even Doran who have had a fair bit of stick? Because you're so obviously Jordan's mate. Or brother ? Big Jordan got his share of credit last season when he came on to a game halfway through the season. I like Jordan as he gives 100%, but let's face it, when Jordan leaves ICT, so will you. I asked you before, how long you had been watching ICT and you dodged that one. Because let's be clear: this is the worst ICT side since we were promoted out the seaside leagues in 1999. 20 years ago. Guys like Russell Duncan who were considered jobbers when we won the First Division would be standouts in this team. Forwards like Wyness, Ritchie, Bingham, Wilson, Hislop are players we would kill for now, and that's without mentioning that the standard in the league has dropped in 20 years.
  15. Nah, wasting your time. There's a difference between fielding a player who hasn’t been signed and more trivial stuff such as a teamsheet error. Might be a fine. Edit - you're also assuming the ref, linesman and 4th official let him enter the field without noting his name. The 3rd sub was clearly announced as Mark Connolly.
  16. Still on the train to Edinburgh, no phone charging points on the Inverness to Perth service, just a train full of half pissed Arabs eating stinking takeaways. A complete waste of a day. Never thought I’d see the day when Trafford was our best player. Curry seems to have earned a run in the team based on that one decent strike last Saturday but I can’t see him stepping up to this level, Hope I’m wrong. Edited to add, I’ve never rated Storey and I’ve no idea why Robbo resigned him. Now you can ask CaleyStan, when Toddy scored on Tuesday night, I turned to him and said “that’ll be White starting on Saturday then...”
  17. No, Mee! Doesn't seem to have been on here since before we won the Cup though.
  18. Stopped at the Devil's Beeftub on the way up the road. Just to look at the stars, man...
  19. Should have been 40. What happened to Red Card? Writing more song lyrics presumably.
  20. Sad news. The song was sold at the stadium on a cassette (a what?). Unfortunately lent mine to somebody (you know who you are ? ).
  21. Too cryptic for the majority on here. I would have picked it up sooner if you knew how to use the quote function. Besides, I was there in person ?
  22. First half we played a lot of decent stuff middle to front, loads of crosses from the byline. Defensively very poor though. Second half was awful, just a long punt up the park with Keatings not looking interested in battling for that kind of service. Howler from Donaldson for the winner.
