  1. Well they need something to celebrate this season 😉
  2. Very true. This final doesn’t count towards anything else so it can be played sometime in the future when all of us can attend. Limiting it to an elite 250 is nonsense.
  3. Lower League Ramblings Here I am again, baring my soul for all you lot to see. Yes I watch Love Island. I’m not proud of it but I live for the drama in the villa and I make sure I rush home to watch it every night. Like everyone else I am praying for them to chuck in a wee ugly fat guy from Greenock with incredible patter to represent our fine nation in front of millions. My prayers have not been answered. Instead they have chucked in an Edinburgh born hunk of a man, tattoos covering his chest and arms and teeth whiter than a Donald Trump rally. His first conversation made my blood boil, veins popping out my forehead and left my body more anger laden than an old firm statement about referees. Scottish Jamie: I’m from Edinburgh Essex Shaugna: So do you support Celtic or Rangers? I was… View original post 752 more words View the full article
  4. I’ll be the first to say it, we weren’t actually that bad. We lost Toshney after 3 minutes. Against a decent, well-organised side like Alloa you don’t want to concede the first goal or there’s likely no way back. A scrappy deflected effort after 12 minutes, and we had the old familiar story where we spent the rest of the game trying to break them down while watching out for the counter attacks. And in Trouten and Banks they had at least a couple of creative players that could take advantage. We had any number of scrambled clearances in their box and if we had got one back it would probably have turned out differently. I lost count of the number of diagonal balls swung in by Rooney or Tremarco, in addition to Walsh or Doran or Storey, and 99% were headed clear by the Alloa defenders. As Yngwie said to me, it’s a pity we didn’t have a tall striker 😂 When we tried to play through the middle we were crowded out. And I don’t think Robbo can be criticised for not using the subs either. Back in the Wyness/Ritchie days we were a high flying team that would sweep aside teams like Alloa, but under Grant they’re back to being one of the best of the part-time teams, just as they were in the days of Terry Christie then Tom Hendrie, and look like they have a decent chance of staying up, so people will maybe have to get used to it.

False alarm. I must have saved a backup on the hard drive all those years ago 🤡

    Aye I thought that 😉
  7. Magnificent result. Just like the Paterson years, a team that can take the knocks and come back 😎 Onwards to Alloa on Saturday

This might be a long shot but who knows. I made up a DVD entitled 'ICT- the First Five Years'. Apparently I burned the disc in 2006. Just highlights off the telly. I think it was copied and circulated a fair bit.It was also used at the Kingsmills Hotel to celebrate X number of years of ICT. Anyhoo, my copy seems to be corrupted so I'm looking for a fresh copy from anybody who still has it. It'll help me to get it, but more so bmillsy who is trying to put archive stuff up on YouTube. A disc of pure Caley stuff was made around the same time and it's still running fine.

I’ll get that one off to you. Can’t remember anybody buying those videos except me buying 3 that you know about. I had a mate living in Edinburgh who might have had programmes but unfortunately he died suddenly last year, I heard about it on my way back from the drubbing at Arbroath. Have you tried Bryan Munro? I must have those 2 games somewhere unless you mean the replay at Bayview. Never seen that. I’m typing this in bed now so I’ll have a look later, is it only Caley footage I sent you?

I've got Deveronvale v Caley 22/1/94 that you can have but that's it. Also Thistle v Caley 92-3 and Caley v Huntly 82-83 if you want them.
  16. Have we given up on the Scottish then? We could be at Hampden that day.
  17. Hope you get sorted but you could always wander up to Leith Walk and stay in the sooper dooper fancy refurbished SYHA hostel and get the train over to Fife the next day.
  18. Just come in and haven’t seen the statement. Can only reach the homepage but none of the content. edit- for some reason the link from Twitter works so I’ve seen it now. Excellent apart from the canine reference. Actually I have a lot of sympathy with boycotting the final as we seem to have 100% support everywhere I’ve looked. Even if there’s some resolution and we end up playing it. We got a result in the Meekings case due to the overall outrage.
  19. That was my reaction. They very seldom admit their refs are wrong. Having been involved a couple of times myself at non-League level, they can sometimes wriggle out of it by imposing a suspended sentence or something similar but in this case there’s no half measure they can take.
  20. Just been announced: Fri 1945. https://ictfc.com/scottish-cup-quarter-final-date-confirmed?fbclid=IwAR2igxmyniHpfwEyirFoPJeLk9ZWJSwHst2douN7fVPuKxT7o5ty5-XT7Cc
  21. That 2-2 game was tense. When we were 2-1 up I was actually feeling sick with the tension ? And driving up the road for the replay in that weather was something else.
  22. I take it the official ICTFC Facebook page just nicks quotes off here ?
  23. Paterson also got us to the last eight as a tier 4 club in his first season, where we were unlucky to come up against Rangers with Gazza and Laudrup. This was after beating Livi plus higher league teams East Fife, featuring Steve Archibald, and Stenny.
