Roy Macbain - i'm 50/50, i think he would be good to retain as a squad player as back up on the left; undecided Barry Wilson - let his contract run out and let him progress to a coaching role within the club keep Ian Black - keep, think he has a big part to play in ICt's future over the next few years Richie Hart - let his contract expire and release Alan Morgan - Release, as mentioned above, flatters to deceive, can be effective on his game but not consistent enough Russel Duncan - keep, highly effecive and under-rated defensive midfielder Don Cowie - keep, vital part of the current team John Rankin - definately keep, i think he is massively under-valued and has lots to offer the team if only given the chance, should start ahead of Roy IMO, has great vision and a great left foot not to mention he works very well with Cowie Zander Sutherland - keep for the time being but i think he needs first team football to see whether he can cut it in the SPL Markus Paatelainen - release, i think injury free he could be a good squad player but has a terrible injury history (though no fault of his own) and just cant see him being a sustained first team candidate Garry Wood - Although not a midfielder i'll put forward my opinion, promising striker who should be given the chance, keep Iain Vigurs - highy rated and looks to be a very bright prospect, keep

article up on the official site seems to explain it pretty well,

i dont think too many ICT players showered themselves in glory at the start of this season, so to single out Rankin is unfair and unjust. it has been a very very slow start to the season but last nights cup game aside we have been gradually improving our overall performance. Agreed Rankin took a while to adapt to the SPL last year but when he did he became a valuable memeber of the team and i think still has an a huge amount to offer the team. I think with the current under-performances in the team both Morgan and Rankin should be given their chance to stake their claim for a place in the team. They both bring different things to the team, morgan can be used almost as a winger and as we know can swing in very dangerous crosses where as rankin has the ability to make things happen through the middle and is not afraid to shoot from outside the box, something which i think we've been lacking recently. IMO Rankin should be given a start within the next few games, fair enough not at Ibrox i think McBain would be better suited as he can defend well when necessary. (mind you did Rankin not score a screamer against the gers at the start of the year?)

i'd go with that. cant see it though
-
ha ha ha ha, thats a good one, you are joking arent you?
-
3-1 i think, any confirmation? scorer?
-
unbelievable, i dont know whether to shout, laugh, scream or punch my monitor, cant believe the score so far! aberdeen are not a good team, how we cannot beat them is one of lifes unexplainable mysteries!
-
by the sounds of it thats another 3 goals gifted tonight, unbelievable! :008:
-
ha ha ha, brilliant!
-
any way to find out who it was? :fighting03: ha ha
-
ha ha, i can never get the little blighter!! would love to see us revert to that line-up with one small change, wyness for bayne, i think bayne is a better option for opposition teams with a very strong aerial defence (such as the old firm)where as wyness has more technicall skill with the ball at his feet so would be better against the likes of gretna
-
when we beat italy in the upcoming qualifier we should jump above them too. :tic01:
-
i think Rankin should be on the bench at the very least, he offers a much more creative attacking threat than McBain and as well as being able to swing in great crosses is not afraid to ping a rasping shot now and again. Would like to see him start but cant see it
-
who said anything about lynching him? dropping him would make more sense to me.

IMO Fraser has made a decent start to the season, he's has some good performances and some not great performances, he has made 2 bad mistakes out of 10 games which could be directly attributed to losing points however Malkowski has made a clanger today in a very dodgy 30 minute spell today with some terrible kicking. I'm not one for pre-conceptions. Malkowski has a history of making clangers (thats not a pre-conception, thats a fact) and he made at least one big one today costing us a least a point. Simple choice who is gonna make less mistakes? for me its Fraser and therefore he should be first choice. i know its not as black and white as this but Fraser - 10 games - 2 costly error, Malkowski - 2 games - 1 costly error i think we have a talented youngster in Fraser and should have supported him after his mistakes rather than drop him.
-
Played well and depending what was wrong with McGuire we may have no choice in the matter
-
I cannot believe how many unforced errors we have made this season, i have supported ICT whenever possible for circa 13 years now and cannot remember a season let alone 10 games where so many errors and costly errors have been made. from what i can gather we havent kept a clean sheet in the SPL so far this season and we must have scored at least 4/5 own goals not to mention how many pens we've given away. So whats happened to us? is it lack of confidence? lack of team spirit? Tactical naivety? Wrong players playing together? I for one cant fathom why we are making so many mistakes, can anyone else?
-
4/10?? theres no way malkowski was that good today! as for the ref, so inconsistent and i think we had a fair shout for a pen late on when McNamara fouled in the box
-
when i heard malkowski's name been read out i shuddered and immediately thought it was a wrong decision, cant say his performance did much to alter that opinion. Rubbish. on todays showing i think January will be the time for the board to make finances available for either a proven experienced keeper or competition for Mike Fraser

so infuriating to watch that today, Malkoski should be dropped instantly, absolutely terrible, first goal was his fault, weak shot that should have easily been stopped. His kicking was attrocius, says a lot for a player when the few kicks he did make well were cheered by the home crowd! for me his reluctance to come for crosses and total inability to pass to a player on his team made the defence extremely nervous which was clear to see with the long ball tactic being used constantly (thankfully Marius won his fair share of headers). The only defender for me that impressed today was Hastings. McGuire and Munro didnt do too much wrong but i still think they need more games to gel as a partnership. Tokely was all over the place in every sense, constantly out of position, made a few good tackles but wasnt his usual self today. Proctor played well when he came on too, few good tackles, reads the game well and had the pace to cover any through balls when tokesly was playing up the park. Wyness took his goal excellently, congrats on the ton :021: played very well today, held the ball up well, passed well even tracked back on a few occasions. Marius couldnt be faulted for effort, his running was excellent and won many important headers, i just wish he'd break his duck and start banging them in! Great effort from Duncan near the end but we cannot continue to make stupid mistakes and expect to get anything from games. mcbain for me is a technically gifted player, has great control of the ball and rarely makes a bad pass but all to often its a back pass, offers almost nothing going forward, how many times today did he have the chance to put a cross in or shoot but turned back and passed backwards. Need a much more attack minded player for that postion IMO Next game, IMO, Malkowski and mcbain dropped for fraser and rankin respectively

Hi secret love for Ross County How can you talk about naivety and knee jerk reactions and then come out with "it was more than likely his first drug offence".... brilliant! he is what 26? just because he has been caught once you assume that this is his first sniff? ha ha, good answer good point though harry and one i tried to make earlier on, there is so much rumour, speculation and assumption being made its hard to work out who's said what and whats actually true. what we can be sure of is that RH has been charged for possession and will be dealt with accordingly
-
what lie did he tell the club Harry?
-
so far in this thread a lot of views have been expressed on how Richie acted since the original incident occured from what i can gather he hasnt made an official statment or been quoted in any way as to whether he was guilty, not guilty or in fact anything relating to the charge in question. from the article on the BBC it is evident that he he has been charged with possession of cocaine so other than that information how are we to know what is speculation, rumour and/or assumption? is the BBC gospel? do they have all the facts correct? have they interviewed RH? i for one dont know to say RH has lied and/or decieved anyone including the club is unfounded as we do not know what RH has said to the police or the club. he has been caught by the police with a drug, he has subsequently been charged it is now in the hands of the club to decide whether he has breached the terms of his contract and therefore what his future will be.

cheers for the stats Scotty, interesting to see how our strikers compare to each other
