1) i'm not talking one or two quid, I dont think this problem is limited to ICT but the whole SPL has a vastly inflated ticketing structure. 2) as mentioned by other posters in other threads rangers fans were in home areas. home fans cannot buy seats for the home end if theyve already been sold to rangers fans 3) theres not a lot can be done with the weather but like it or not some fans will not go to games particularly in the winter time due to cold temperatures down by the sea. 4) same answer as 2 but i would add that inevitably OF fans will get into the home end but it is up to the stewards and police to remove them as necessary. ( or not at all as some posters are claiming today ) 5) i have never encountered parking problems akin to ours at any other ground i have visited in scotland believe me i do realise we are in the real world, not too much a fan of coffee though. i realise things will never be perfect but there are always ways to improve, when suggestions and/or complaints are made which should lead to improvements but are ignored or not taken then i feel fans have every right to complain or moan

i disagree with the criticism on here for Proctor, other than the lapse in concentration for their goal i though he was very good today, not easy playing against someone like Cousin and i thought he dealt with him reasonably well. i do however agree with the point about him needing to beef up a bit. i also disagree with the continual questions raised over Niculaes performances, i certainly think he lasted the game today without any problem but would say that he could have benefitted more from having a striker up front with him to help press the front line, i certainly have no questions over his commitment, teamwork or ability. for me Blackie was MOM followed by Munro

i disagree with that statement, i believe there are enough ICT fans to fill the seats but too many fans are put off for one of the following reasons: 1) ticket prices are too high (extortionate IMO) 2) fans are unwilling to sit next to or share stands with oppposition fans (as is the case when the old firm are up) 3) the somewhat arctic conditions that the fans are often subjected to 4) little confidence in the stewarding to deal with away fans in the home end 5) problems regarding parking at the ground which could be described as shambolic at times i always feel that clubs who are able to muster large travelling supports for away cup games (as we have in recent years) should do their upmost to entice all of these fans to games on a regular basis. whether it be through subsidised ticket prices or some other scheme to attract fans. We need to make the whole match day experience more appealing rather than giving fans excuses not to turn up.

In all seriousness Wilson should be pen taker if he's on the pitch. If he's not then Niculae or Black to take them. I think Niculae was unfortunate to miss against hibs, i think now he has gained confidence and that goal scoring touch then he is the logical choice. A penalty for Niculae away from home may well be the break he needs to carry on his goal scoring run away from TCS.

i believe the first yellow was for dissent after their 3rd goal and the second yellow for squaring up to morais who was also booked for the second time and subsequently sent off.

Did you bother to read the other threads before posting this ? If you did you might have found out that the rumoured name in the frame is Dean Shiels the same dene shiels thats just scored against us? :007:
-
i agree, think we are missing a link up player between midfield and our strikers in todays team
-
he,ll leave by wed, for ?65k,very annoying since we dont need to sell hi,he wants to leave tough,he should of thought of that b4 he sgiend for us,who have we targetted to bring in to replace him/no-one i bet :008: :018: if he is adamant he want to leave then fair enough but as he is tied to a contract he has little sway in the final transfer. it should be on the clubs terms if he is sold but i think it would be a disgrace if he left for ?65k. Out of that ?65k i bet county have a sell on clause too! so we wouldnt get the total fee. Reading another article today about when Robson left us, he left for ?50k and could well seal a transfer of ?1m plus during this transfer window, why should this club get pennies when others can recoup much heftier fees. :008: hopefully we have a sell on clause for Robson!!
-
fair enough, didnt think of that
-
not in the team today, looks rather ominous, i sincerely hope that this is not a sign of the end of Rankins ICT career. If it is i would be extremely annoyed if we did not make a healthy profit from his transfer
-
could certainly think of worse repacements am i right in thinking that shiels is quite a versatile attacking player in that he can play wide left and up front?
-
dont see how it can be a moderator issue if the media, i.e. sky sports news in this case, choose to use the term 'Caley' as a shortened version of our club name, i merely used the articles headline unfortunately when i posted the original sub-heading i couldnt guess how the situation was gonna develop ...... :tic01: :015: anyways back to the matter in question, glad to see PM has finally signed, i think he will be a good addition to the squad
-
yup i agree with the above. would be extremely dissapointed of Rankin definately does leave, could never fathom why he was out of the team for so long and i think dropping him earlier on in the season will come back to haunt us. if he does leave i would hope and expect to receive at the very least ?100k, he cost us ?65k and we have developed him from a good first division player to a valuable SPL player so anything less than ?100k would be a disgrace. What irks me is, we should not be selling our best players to our rivals! If St Midden do get him for about ?65k i think it would be an absolute bargain and they'll will be rubbing their hands with glee, if our club does sell one of our most valuable assets for that amount then i seriously think it leans toward an incredible lack of ambition and financial desperation.
-
If true, i would be dissappointed to see him leave, has been a great servant to the club and despite many fans being overly critical of his play i do feel that some people are not realising his worth to the team and i think he would be a big loss

I was re-assured by Proctors performance at centre half on Saturday but the way it stands now we have one permanent centre half in Grant, one temporary centre half who may be the answer in Proctor and one centre half on loan who doesnt appear to be anywhere near the first team in Steven Watt. I fear we are just one or two injuries or suspensions away from serious problems, unless Brewster has another centre half lined up to replace McGuire. I agree we should not be held to ransom but it does appear we are not making the centre half position a priority, if Brew is keen on McGuire why hasnt Dunfermline been contacted regarding his availabilty? maybe i'm mistaken and ICT are making their transfer dealings top secret....

Story here. not good news!

Isn't going to happen. That area of the Longman isn't allocated for supermarket in the City Plan; there isn't the infrastructure around the Bught to cope with a stadium suitable for us; and Asda are now concentrating their efforts on acquiring a site across the river from the Bught. the city plan however is not cast in stone and allowances are often made which may deviate slightly from the city plan. True, but there is no overwhelming reason why this, quite considerable, change should be made. I'd be opposed to building a stadium in the Bught. It is a irreplaceable green space that brings benefits to Invernessians of all ages. Planting a ground into the middle of it would ruin this. Thankfully, it was a non-starter in 1995 and is a non-starter now. fair enough, i take your point. when it comes down to it our club is growing and will (hopefully) eventually either outgrow its current home or become overly constrained by limitations on development at TCS therefore sites like the bught will always come in for consideration. when i said i agreed with the bught as a potential location i should of specified that i think the canal pitches would be an ideal location for future development whether that is classed as the bught i'm not sure. i believe that a community focused stadium like what aberdeen are currently proposing where many amenities are provided would be a huge asset to the city. i concur

looks like the fee was agreed (rumoured to be ?8 million) but Hutton turned it down. SPL vs Premiership..... hmmmm... :024:
