absolute twaddle!! your basing your opinion on a booking and a sending off which while annoying was borne through frustration?? have you never done anything in the heat of the moment? Imrie was not to blame for that defeat in Perth, our second half collapse was. i always thought Imrie was a good player although admittedly sometimes hot-headed and inconsistent but always a trier. He was definitely an asset to have in the team and still to this day I think getting rid of him was a mistake. I think he proved this by getting more than 4 MoM awards for Hamilton in the SPL immediately after he left us Whether he is a likable character or not is not the case in hand. he winds folk up but at the end of the day he has the ability to win games. as he did for us and as he did for hamilton today much to our annoyance.

heres a link to the story, the main jist of the story is that Butcher is keen to tie down Rooney to a new contract which is great news glad to hear it
  3. Completely pointless ban, whats the point in banning a player for 18 games that has no intention of playing for the national team ever again!!
  4. i think your bang on Really think we could do with a couple of loan signings to strengthen our wide attacking options
  5. The Hayes foul by Mulgrew was clearly a bookable foul and i think pretty much anyone in the stadium could see that bar the ref and his uselss linesmen. That foul on Munro by Samaras coupled with his blatant hand ball should have seen him walk but despite those clear bookable fouls and other handballs/fouls he was allowed to stay on the pitch.

It think its hugely unlikely that Butcher will change the formation after 1 game in the SPL. He used only two formations last year and once we found success with the 4-2-3-1 he stuck to it rigidly. I think he will continue to use it unless we really struggle over the next few months
  7. Because Callum Murray is a rubbish referee. Agree with that assessment. How on earth could Hayes foul anyone when he had the ball and was running full steam into the box!! Crazy decision from the referee. Not the only one in the game, how Mulgrew and Samaras were not booked remains a mystery to me.
  8. As a footballer match fitness only comes with playing games from the start and playing for as long as you can, this brings the sharpness that you expect to see as well. Playing a player for 15-20 minutes will not get him match fit nor will it get him sharp so for me Hayes has to start next week, he gave enough today that shows he is naturally fit after his injury and will be 'match fit' very soon. As for changing things for next week, why? Yes the second half was poor but remember we were playing Celtic and they are always going to get chances and be on top for a period of time, lets focus on the positives and move on from there. Changing a backline after 1 game won't help either and the understanding will come over time, give them a chance to gell. I would have been more inclined to change things if we had been playing St Mirren or Hamilton and gave them the number of chances Celtic had and let them play the way Celtic did in the second half. Great post MrCaleyJag, completely agree. The only way players can get fitter is by pushing themselves. Not by sitting on the bench.
  9. We seemed to tire really badly, really fell out if the game after they scored. We rely too much on Hayes and Foran. It really showed today. We need back up for our wide players Esson had a couple of outstanding saves Lots of work to be done
  10. You reckon he could perhaps improve the official website and online shop?! maybe, just maybe what an uplifting idea, im sure that would be fully supported! bra-vo
  11. Bill Gates :_chaching:
  12. Yeah, Lennon looked devastated in the press conferences after 'losing' one of their best players. Amazing money for someone who in my opinion is vastly over-rated
  13. Absolutely, he's played a few pre-season friendlies. Give the lad a chance!! Like you RiG i'll be giving him my full support
  14. I'll give it 6 months, he'll be found out as a 'luxury' player who can dribble but not much else

Well it appears the application was successful!! Woohoo!! official press release
  16. You've got to be kidding??? No hes not kidding! I heard it too on the BBC Highland news at 1 oclock. It said he'd had minor surgery and would be out for 3 weeks. TB said he hoped to have him back then. Early next month i think it said. ####### #######!!!! Not good news at all, he's a vital player for us, going to be a big loss

  18. We will try to cover all the various options in our matchday thread ....... but as far as I know .... the media arrangements so far are as follows. Audio: BBC Radio Scotland - as normal. All games (except that noted by CB above) national on the radio. Online, some games will be worldwide whilst others will be UK only. Moray Firth Radio - All games local via the radio, UK only via online stream Video Various games live via SKY / ESPN (30 each per season). These are all UK only but various international channels will also show games but people in those locations will have to find out for themselves !!! BBC ALBA offer a match 'as live' on a Saturday night. UK Only. All these matches are denoted on the SPL fixture list at www.scotprem.com with an icon for the relevant broadcaster BT Vision also have a match in full via delayed transmission. STV have acquired the rights to use SPL footage across their daily new bulletins and their Sports Centre programme broadcast ahead of each weekend's fixtures. STV will also be assisting the SPL to produce over 100 matches each season and manage their archive content going back to 1998. Highlights are available on Sky Sports and BBC Scotland on Monday night. Online highlights can be viewed on the BBC Sport website. Subject to getting a copy of the guidelines from the SPL we will also continue to assist the club in getting their own highlights up on the official website as before. these will likely be the same footage as those featured on BBC/SKY/ESPN etc as they will be obliged to give the club a copy but the difference in putting it up on the club site is that it can be viewed globally rather than just within the UK. There may be a delay in starting this service as we are still waiting on details but once all the questions are cleared up hopefully all games will be made available. we will also continue to trial the "live commentary" function we did for the QP game with a view to transferring it to the club somewhere down the line if it proves popular/succesfull cheers for the update, seems like a lot more coverage than last season, can only bode well for getting more exposure for the club
  19. The champions league finals of Liverpool vs Ac Milan and Man Utd vs Bayern are two stand outs for me. Two outstanding games, will go down in history as two of the best ever cup finals In recent times i have to say i also enjoyed the Dundee United v C##nty final :023:
  20. by all accounts a pretty poor performance On the plus side Levein should hopefully have a better idea of his players/formations/tactics etc
  21. any word if he played? started? on the bench? performance?
  22. I probably wouldnt mind a vuvuzela or two this weekend as long as it makes more noise. Really hope the atmosphere is buzzing this saturday. Back in the SPL, unfurling the championship flag, playing of of the ugly sisters, bring it on!!
  23. I presume that the BBC will be showing online highlights again this season?
  24. great news!! delighted to hear that all our games will be broadcast, letting more folk hear how we are getting on should hopefully increase interest in our club and hopefully gain us some new fans
