scotland squad
Caldwell shouldnt be starting IMO, i think its too soon after his double hip surgery. Very, very suprised to see Miller dropped. The only logic i can see from this is that Mackie is an unknown quantity, to most Scotland fans and i would imagine the Czech team alike. Can still see Miller featuring at some point however i really hope Levein has called this one right and Mackie doesnt prove to be another Iwelumo.

Scotland U21s
apparently it was Jamie Murphy that scored our goal. the live scores section on the BBC website originally had the scorer down as Arfield

Scotland U21s
we lost 2-1 to Iceland We went 1-0 up through Scott Arfield after 19 minutes but lost goals in the 34th and 78th minutes

Our strongest starting 11?
on paper our strongest 11 is the one that the OP has listed however Nick Ross has been developing very well this season and its very hard to leave him out of the starting line up. He adds a different aspect to our play and seems to be very adaptable in that he can play in a few positions despite his young age. If he keeps on progressing the way he has been then we will have an outstanding player

under 19s
This is the kind of info which should be coming from the CLUB, NOT, i take it, from a parent. Completely agree. I notice now that we dont even get first team match reports on the official site anymore. Anyone know why the club have stopped match reports and seem to withold any information on youth teams?

Lee Cox injury
Looks like Cox' injury is not as bad as first feared, official ICT page says he'll probably miss the St midden and Aberdeen games but be back for the St Johnstone game. Great news that he's not out as long as originally feared

Team for st midden.
following the news that it looks like Cox is going to be out for a few weeks my revised team is: ESSON PROCTOR TOKELY MUNRO GOLABEK DUFF DUNCAN HAYES ODIHAMBO FORAN ROONEY I'm loathe to drop Ross but the given the choice of Foran or Ross well then its Foran.

Lee Cox injury
This is the last thing we need. I cant ever remember a time when we had so many important first team players out injured. This is really going to test our squad and will be a steep learning curve for a lot of our younger squad players. The sooner we get all our players back fit the better. I wonder given our injury list will Terry look into a loan or short term deal. There still seems to be a lot of players out of contract. Im unsure of the loan signing situation, is there a window for loan signings? what about emergency loans?

Team for st midden.
While he has been performing very well in the absence of Foran, given the choice between the two then i would opt for Foran. I havent seen Ross playing just off a striker before so dont know if he would be suited for that role. Given the likelihood that we will be playing a 4-2-3-1 then i can see Foran and Hayes being our first choice wingers and Odihambo as the man in the hole. if we went to a 4-4-2 i would happily have Ross and Hayes as the wide men and Foran and Rooney up front. Cant see it though

Realistic answers
for me it is SPL safety. Avoiding relegation is paramount This season I would happily forego any cup runs to consolidate our position in the SPL

Butcher upbeat despite cup defeat
linky While its annoying, frustrating, embarassing and so on to get beat by such a margin i can see Butchers logic. He has clearly identified the league as priority for us this season and i completely agree. We simply cannot afford to be relegated again and while the result was so frustrating i sincerely hope it aids our league campaign. I am the first to admit that i was nearly tearing my hair out reading live commentary of the game and was so frustrated after the game but now that i have had a chance to reflect ive come to the conclusion that if it helps us get points in the league, then fielding a weaker team was a necessary evil. i still stand by my comment in the matchday thread that we seriously need to look at strentghening our backline

Matchday Thread: ICT v Hearts
Relegation dogfight? Surely not... I thought we were unlucky to concede a goal right on the stroke of half-time. We had more than enough chances to take a least a point from this one. Things can only get better. Once we get McCann, Gillet and Richie back and fit again, the results will come. completely agree johnboy. we are 5 games into the league and sitting in 8th, dont think its really time to start worrying about relegation quite yet. we were shwon today that you cannot get away with missing your chances. we showed some nice attacking play in spells but in the SPL you need to score when your on top or you will be punished. like we were today.

Team for Hearts
its been confirmed on the official site that Gillet is gonna be out for several weeks after damaging cartilage. story on ofiicial page we really dont seem to be having much luck on the injury front this season

Adam's on the up!
I really hope it doesnt come to point where the transfer window opens and Rooney still hasnt signed an extended contract. There will be many clubs able to offer more money than us and it is crazy to have arguably our best player and most valuable asset open to discuss terms with another club. We really need to get this sorted out ASAP

Adam's on the up!
There is an article just put up on the official page, linky Delighted to hear the quote in bold, we need to get Adam tied up on a longer contract ASAP, too many times in the past have we let talented players leave for nothing or for minimal amounts. If Adam does decide to leave in the future then may it be with our blessing and a transfer fee that reflects the faith in his ability that the management team has shown him and the development he has had at the club. Keep up the good work Adam and i hope you hang about for a good few years to come.
