  1. IF County were to win the cup, then we would enter the Europa league at the R4 stage, which is the round before the Group Stages. We would be an unseeded team in that obviously as we have no European history, so based on this season's ties that would mean we would get a team along the lines of Liverpool, Roma, Athletico Madrid or Dynamo Moscow. If we qualify as cup runners-up (that would mean Dundee Utd finsihed second int he league) then we would enter at the R1 stage, where you would get a team from the Faroes, Iceland, Norway, Denmark etc (it's regonalised int he early rounds) Another point of interest - IF we win the cup AND Dundee Utd finish second in the SPL, then County would be in the Europa League at R4 stage, while Celtic (assumingthey finsihed third) would have to enter the Europa League at the round before County. All Hypothetical at the moment.... And worse I don't even have a current passport - should I get one booked ASAP ??

Not sure which flag was yours, but the smaller fo the two flags that Caley had today was in the Mallard with some guys after the game. Don't know who they were though, and not sure if that was your flag or not
  3. At lunch time today I believe there was just uder 700 tickets left for the home end. I fully expect them to all go before kick-off.
  4. The ball has to leave the penalty area before it becomes active. It's hard to see from that footage, but it does seem to fly beyond the 18 yard line before floating back, so therefore it would be a goal. If it didn't go beyond the 18 yard line then it's not a goal. I can only assume the ref thought ot went beyond the line
  5. Because they have no flood lights at the moment due to the East Stand being knocked down. If it were to be a dull day light could be an issue just before 5pm.. As it was it was blazing sunshine today. They are back to 3pm after the end of March when the clocks go forward.. BTW - We should have won that today !
  6. I don't se what the big deal is, and think Bridge is being a bit childish regarding it. After all, Wayne Bridge was not actually with the girl at the time, the pair of them had parted !
  7. Probably ! We've all been saying for weeks that March will be a hard month for us. Especially given that we have such a small squad.
  8. Morton v Inverness has been rescheduled for Tuesday 2nd March. Inverness CT v Ross County has been re-scheduled for Tuesday 30th March.
  9. League rules state once into March all outstanding matches have to be played on the first available midweek, so clubs can't just leave games to be played. The rules doesn't quite put it like that, it's something along the lines of that all postponed games should be played in the first available midweek after the original scheduled date - the midweeks of January and Faburary are except from this rule. The only way it would be delayed until into April would be if County/Caley have other midweek games arranged. We'll probably end up doing a double header against each other
  10. I believe both clubs want it to be played on Tuesday 23rd February, but the date won't be announced officially until both teams Scottish Cup fifth round ties results have been decided. If postpoments/replays are required in the cup that midweek is a potential date for them too.
  11. Probably because the original poster is a County fan, and it seems to becoming more apparent that Dougie Imrie is to join County.

I don't know it.. As well as anyone else in the top six of the league don't know it either. However I have never thought that we would, and never said that we would...... Unlike a few on here ! The one thing about the first division is that just about every team is capable of beating any other team. Inconsistancy is a problem that can have an effect on all teams, and generally does. Any team that can string 5 or 6 wins together will be up near the top of the league, same as any team that fails to win in 5 or six games will fall right down to near the bottom. The legaue could quite easily be won by whichever team is on form for the last few games of the season, and those in the relegation zone could be those going through a troubled spell. It's been that way for years in the first division, and this season is no different.

Just so that RiG doesn't think my fasination for Caley has waned recently I thought I would check through your results recently. I was actually quite surprised to see that with the exception of your result over County in the ALBA Cup semi-final Caley have failed to beat a any team that are currently higher than 6th in the First Division. All the wins you have got have been against lower league teams in the cups (exception being the one mentioned above). As for league wins, these have all come against the team currently in the bottom half of the league. Morton, Ayr, Airdrie, Raith and Dunfermline. As for teams int he top half, I think I'm right in saying the only point picked up was the one against Dundee. You've lost all other games against the top four. I think only Ayr and Airdrie are the other two teams in the league that haven't beat a team from the current top half teams.
  14. Don't feel too honoured about my presence on this site, as I visit many other teams forums just as frequently. It's a good way to keep up to date with all things football, and not to be blinkered into thinking my own team is everything ! As being on a the wind up, I wasn't. i was seriously interested to see what your opinions were on the manager being away from time to time to help out Scotland. As for my own site, yes I took it down due to grief I was getting - but the it is still there albeit on a much more diluted basis than it was before. But all credit to you all for nicely body swerving the awkward question about your manager deserting your team intheir hour of need !
  15. Not really bothered by it. Just wondering what the opinions of the Caley fans were on this. It was rumoured a few months back that the ICT board didn't find it an ideal situation - albeit one they agreed to. I would imagine that Butcher would gine away with Scotland a happier man had they won on Saturday, and not had the worries he currently has. Maybe that was one of the main reasons he was so unhappy on Saturday after the game. But not really bothered by it, just wondering your opinions.
  16. WRONG ! I'll give you the following quote in the Inverness Courier today. I seem to recall a very similar comment from him after the game where you were beaten 3-1 by County in Inverness, when he left the team to help with the Scotland squad for a few days... It must be a concern to you all that at a time when he openly admits that changes in the team are needed, they he leaves the club in the lurch - Going by his comments above, it appears that decisions will be left to Malpas this week.
  17. At least Terry doesn't assault his players as if he did then Sat would have been the time, judging by his comments anyway. So instead of moaning about Butch, take into consideration, Derek Adams assault on his players!!!!!!! Are you quite sure about that ?? From what I hear post match tensions in the away dressing room on Saturday may very well have resulted in a few altercations between some of the players and with the management staff. I suppose the fact that Butcher is now away with Scotland for the next few days - instead of staying in Inverness and working with the players ahead of Saturday - will be a little relief to the Caley players.
  18. Haven't been in the toilets at the away end for over 15 years, so no idea what they look like. I guess they are on a level standard to the ones in the away end at your stadium ??
  19. I take it that all these comments were made after Butcher trashed the away dressing room at Victoria Park ?? I gather a rather large bill will already be in the post to the Tulloch Stadium to cover the cost of the damage !
  20. The areas at both corner flags were sparsely populated in the away end terrace, so those who felt they were packed in to tightly could have moved to another area of the terrace. I believe that there werw actaully 300 or so tickets unsold for the away end (pretty much all terrace). If it's any consolation to you, the Jailend was equally full.
  21. While we did benift from the league re-construction back in 2000, the rules were set out at the start of the season and we knew exactly what had to be done that season. However, it may have escaped your notice, but since 2000 we have been back to Division 2 - as I'm sure you have mentioned once or twice before - and we won the league fair and square that season, with no league re-construction, so in fact we have fully won the right to be in the first division.
  22. He might say the right thing but he's not the one on the pitch playing. What can he and MM do to give them team more believe to go on and win games? Surely that's where the coaching part of his cotract comes in.. Him and Malpas have the responsibility to coach the players how to play. Without trying to sound s though I'm gloating too much, the biggest difference today was that County played football, while Caley just lumped long balls. This was especially in the first half and it clearly didn't work for Caley. Second half and Caley played a bit more int he way of a passing game, and you actually put County under a bit of pressure, scored a goal, had one off the line.. But then for some reason reverted back to the long ball game. As for Butcher, he did well while at Motherwell, but he was a disaster at his other two managerial jobs.. BTW.. What a bargin getting Vigurs on a free..
  23. No I think the Wheelie Bin was named after Jim Hamilton. The Hamilton lounge was named after David Hamilton, a volunteer who helped out at County for most of his life, and was at the club nearly every day of the week... You would have seen him helping the team on match days right up until his sudden death a few years ago.
  24. Seen this advertised the other week. ?10 for the match or ?100 for the season... A bit steep to just sit and watch the telly. Ross County have the same facilities in the Hamilton Lounge, but it's FREE ! I also noticed that the official leaflet for refered to the "Kingmills Club" even spelt wrong..

Aye come on Robbo... Try your hardest to give us an unbiased prediction ! Also what's better Barry Wilson's mums cakes or the pies at Victoria Park ??
