  1. Any of you lot fromt he dark side hearing rumours about Charlie Christie ? There is a strong rumour from a very cerdible source that is saying that Charlie "Mr Caley" Christie is to become the assistant manager at County.
  2. Apparently Rory MacAllistair has signed for ...... Peterhead ! According to reports the deal is ?600 per week, yet he gets to stay part time, and can continue with his plumbers job... Not a bad deal if true, and probably beats whatever an SPL club was offering
  3. IF County were to win the cup, then we would enter the Europa league at the R4 stage, which is the round before the Group Stages. We would be an unseeded team in that obviously as we have no European history, so based on this season's ties that would mean we would get a team along the lines of Liverpool, Roma, Athletico Madrid or Dynamo Moscow. If we qualify as cup runners-up (that would mean Dundee Utd finsihed second int he league) then we would enter at the R1 stage, where you would get a team from the Faroes, Iceland, Norway, Denmark etc (it's regonalised int he early rounds) Another point of interest - IF we win the cup AND Dundee Utd finish second in the SPL, then County would be in the Europa League at R4 stage, while Celtic (assumingthey finsihed third) would have to enter the Europa League at the round before County. All Hypothetical at the moment.... And worse I don't even have a current passport - should I get one booked ASAP ??
  4. Not sure which flag was yours, but the smaller fo the two flags that Caley had today was in the Mallard with some guys after the game. Don't know who they were though, and not sure if that was your flag or not
  5. At lunch time today I believe there was just uder 700 tickets left for the home end. I fully expect them to all go before kick-off.
  6. The ball has to leave the penalty area before it becomes active. It's hard to see from that footage, but it does seem to fly beyond the 18 yard line before floating back, so therefore it would be a goal. If it didn't go beyond the 18 yard line then it's not a goal. I can only assume the ref thought ot went beyond the line
  7. Because they have no flood lights at the moment due to the East Stand being knocked down. If it were to be a dull day light could be an issue just before 5pm.. As it was it was blazing sunshine today. They are back to 3pm after the end of March when the clocks go forward.. BTW - We should have won that today !
  8. I don't se what the big deal is, and think Bridge is being a bit childish regarding it. After all, Wayne Bridge was not actually with the girl at the time, the pair of them had parted !
  9. Probably ! We've all been saying for weeks that March will be a hard month for us. Especially given that we have such a small squad.
  10. Morton v Inverness has been rescheduled for Tuesday 2nd March. Inverness CT v Ross County has been re-scheduled for Tuesday 30th March.
  11. League rules state once into March all outstanding matches have to be played on the first available midweek, so clubs can't just leave games to be played. The rules doesn't quite put it like that, it's something along the lines of that all postponed games should be played in the first available midweek after the original scheduled date - the midweeks of January and Faburary are except from this rule. The only way it would be delayed until into April would be if County/Caley have other midweek games arranged. We'll probably end up doing a double header against each other
  12. I believe both clubs want it to be played on Tuesday 23rd February, but the date won't be announced officially until both teams Scottish Cup fifth round ties results have been decided. If postpoments/replays are required in the cup that midweek is a potential date for them too.
  13. Probably because the original poster is a County fan, and it seems to becoming more apparent that Dougie Imrie is to join County.
  14. The reason Imrie was totally in effective against County at Dingwall, was the fact that he was only interested in reacting to the Jailend. Anyway, From what I hear Imrie won't be heading South this transfer window !
  15. We've been telling you all for about 2 months now that he would be moving in January to County.. It's been one of the worst kept secrets this year. I doubt he'll play on Saturday though. Even if the paperwork does go through on time, I doubt he'll be thrown straight into the team without any training with the rest of the team... The only possibility would be a place on the bench for a last 15 minutes if anything
  16. Caley will be keen to get him off their wage bill, as it is due to increase again in the summer. ?1,200 first year, ?1,500 this year and reported ?1,800 next season. If he does indeed come back to County then I would expect him to be on the same wage as every other player in the first team. As County work it that players at certain levels are all paid the same.... Big change from some previous managers !! Exactly my point why would he go when he is going to be on ?1,800 next season, particulary if he believes in his own ability and feels he can fight his way back into the ICT team. I suppose a lot depends on what he wants. No amount of money would make me stay at work if I wasn't enjoying it... In fact I have moved jobs for less money - long story that I won't bore you with, but I was happier. Barrowman is not getting games at Caley, He must be thinking to himself if he wants games he'll have to move, and he'll know that nowhere in Scotland will offer him the current money he is on, and with not playing he is not in any shop window. He knows that last time in Dingwall was the best part of his career.. was it the lower division, or the style of play that done this is hard to say, but maybe he would see it as a chance to go back get playing / scoring goals and then even stay there playing or put himself into the shop window for a move elsewhere. If it's maximum coin he is looking for then, he will surely just sit tight at Inverness and collect the pay slip each week !

  18. I know it's been mentioned many times over the last year, but I believe that Barrowman will be joining County in January.. Can anyone tell me if Barrowman was at Partick last week. I heard a rumour that he was actually at County's game against Berwick last weekend, while Caley were at Partick.
  19. I don't know it.. As well as anyone else in the top six of the league don't know it either. However I have never thought that we would, and never said that we would...... Unlike a few on here ! The one thing about the first division is that just about every team is capable of beating any other team. Inconsistancy is a problem that can have an effect on all teams, and generally does. Any team that can string 5 or 6 wins together will be up near the top of the league, same as any team that fails to win in 5 or six games will fall right down to near the bottom. The legaue could quite easily be won by whichever team is on form for the last few games of the season, and those in the relegation zone could be those going through a troubled spell. It's been that way for years in the first division, and this season is no different.
  20. Just so that RiG doesn't think my fasination for Caley has waned recently I thought I would check through your results recently. I was actually quite surprised to see that with the exception of your result over County in the ALBA Cup semi-final Caley have failed to beat a any team that are currently higher than 6th in the First Division. All the wins you have got have been against lower league teams in the cups (exception being the one mentioned above). As for league wins, these have all come against the team currently in the bottom half of the league. Morton, Ayr, Airdrie, Raith and Dunfermline. As for teams int he top half, I think I'm right in saying the only point picked up was the one against Dundee. You've lost all other games against the top four. I think only Ayr and Airdrie are the other two teams in the league that haven't beat a team from the current top half teams.
  21. Don't feel too honoured about my presence on this site, as I visit many other teams forums just as frequently. It's a good way to keep up to date with all things football, and not to be blinkered into thinking my own team is everything ! As being on a the wind up, I wasn't. i was seriously interested to see what your opinions were on the manager being away from time to time to help out Scotland. As for my own site, yes I took it down due to grief I was getting - but the it is still there albeit on a much more diluted basis than it was before. But all credit to you all for nicely body swerving the awkward question about your manager deserting your team intheir hour of need !
  22. Not really bothered by it. Just wondering what the opinions of the Caley fans were on this. It was rumoured a few months back that the ICT board didn't find it an ideal situation - albeit one they agreed to. I would imagine that Butcher would gine away with Scotland a happier man had they won on Saturday, and not had the worries he currently has. Maybe that was one of the main reasons he was so unhappy on Saturday after the game. But not really bothered by it, just wondering your opinions.
  23. WRONG ! I'll give you the following quote in the Inverness Courier today. I seem to recall a very similar comment from him after the game where you were beaten 3-1 by County in Inverness, when he left the team to help with the Scotland squad for a few days... It must be a concern to you all that at a time when he openly admits that changes in the team are needed, they he leaves the club in the lurch - Going by his comments above, it appears that decisions will be left to Malpas this week.
  24. At least Terry doesn't assault his players as if he did then Sat would have been the time, judging by his comments anyway. So instead of moaning about Butch, take into consideration, Derek Adams assault on his players!!!!!!! Are you quite sure about that ?? From what I hear post match tensions in the away dressing room on Saturday may very well have resulted in a few altercations between some of the players and with the management staff. I suppose the fact that Butcher is now away with Scotland for the next few days - instead of staying in Inverness and working with the players ahead of Saturday - will be a little relief to the Caley players.
  25. Haven't been in the toilets at the away end for over 15 years, so no idea what they look like. I guess they are on a level standard to the ones in the away end at your stadium ??
