  1. No and no. If the Scottish Cup winners have already qualified for the Champions League, the Europa League place is handed to the runners-up, and if the winners have already qualified for the Europa League, the Europa League place is given to the fourth placed SPL club. Unless Celtic fail to win the league, St. Mirren appear to be going to Europe next season. Well, that is contrary to what was said on Sky Sports. However...i dont pretend to know one way or the other for sure I may well be wrong but in 2010, Motherwell got a European slot because both the winners and runners up of the SC had already qualified for Euro competition. One less place up for grabs so I assumed it would be St Mirren. Gretna played in Europe without winning SC? This is hurting my brain, away for a lie down now. I dunno....but, it seems for the good of Scottish hopes in europe, by way of number of teams competing (and to increase ICT's chance of getting into Europa Cup) we need Cellic to win scottish cup
  2. Found this on SPL site ~ If the Scottish Cup winners have qualified for the Champions League, then the SPL third-placed club enters at QR4, the fourth-placed club enters in QR3 and the cup runners-up enter in QR2.

  4. Oh...and we should be rooting for Cellic to win the Scottish Cup, coz if they do...i beLIEve that 4th spot in SPL will also qualify for europe
  5. I was just looking at the table. i reckon if we can get 6 pts from the next 15 (easily acheivable) then we should make history and get into europe. IF IF IF, we get them 6 pts, that will put us on 57 pts. St Johnstone our nearest threat can now only reach a maximum of 61 pts...should they WIN all their remaining games. I cant seem them doing it. And C*unty are *****...so they dont figure in this at all :P
  6. I keep telling you....its not a magical ball....its medical term is a saline testical implant :P
  7. Their fans are jubilant....saying it took ICT 8 seasons to reach top 6 and they did it first attempt. Well...bottom line is....we got there first...as usual....so...they are still, forever in our shadow lol So in those 8 seasons, where were they playing their football? A bit like saying "look at me" before falling flat on your face really. And lets not forget, C*unty ONLY got into 1st division by default. They got there thro reconstruction, not thro their own footballing merits. nah...fook em.....we secured top 6 before they did...and the history books will reflect that lol
  8. I was always pretty confident that ICT could be an SPL side. But being a realists and even after this amazing season, i do se our natural place as being a team that should reasonably expect to finnish anywhere from 7th place to 11th place most seasons.
  9. Well.....I used to go to Caley training on Monday and thursday nights and chase the ball for them. My reward was getting to sit with the players and have half an orange during the break in training. I also used to sometimes help claen the Caley park on a sunday morning. Mostly i did this in the hope of finding a matchday Program lying on the ground somewhere, for my collection. And at times, id run out and retrieve the balls from gardens on telford street, during matches. All of these positions were unpaid and done out of love lol
  10. As poor as last nights performance was....we cant win em all. The positive is that we are on a run of now 6 games unbeaten (i think, if not, certainly 5). We have only lost 5 or 6 times this season, thats an amazing feat!

  12. I have to say...that was a pretty good show by the vocal element in the support last night. Their efforts were cleary evident throught the game. Well done all those involved for creating an atmosphere. Shame the players didnt match the effort last night
  13. Even my son commented on it....and he knows NOTHING about footie lol
  14. What i don't get is why most nations come on leaps and bounds, yet Scottish football stagnates/regresses. There is something fundamentally amiss with the game here. And another thing, in today's game in general...whatever happened to taking players on and trying to beat them. When i was younger, the ball was given to players who weren't afraid to run with the ball at their feet and try to bet players, and this would happen countless times through the game. Today...for the most part. Players, when faced with the opposition in front of them, would rather turn their back and pass their way out of the situation. 95% of the time this happens. No wonder my love for the game has waned over the years. I was spoilt as a kid watching Caley, a team who played with two attacking full backs, two wingers, two forwards, and centre halfs who loved to go on mazey runs forwards.
  15. And currently...that Job is as safe as an elephant hanging over a cliff, hanging onto a daisy. Id avoid it that job like the plague
  16. Are county garenteed top 6 finnish too?
  17. Be interesting to see if they do go to the wall...and restart as a newco, if they are allowed to keep everything the same and even their history and honours as Rangers did
  18. My bad....apparently the club are to be handed a winding up order...it hasnt happened yet
  19. Dunfermline were handed a "Winding Up Order" this afternoon by HMRC. Does this mean they are finnished, or are there options to escape being sent to oblivion still available?

    Safe

3 points from our next 3 games should be enuff to secure top 6 (all things being well)
  21. Well...way i see it.....its one more point towards securing Top 6, which is progress.....so im Happy :) In FACT......3 games to go till the split. 9 points to play for, we are 5 points ahead of team in 6th place (but they have one game in hand.) but basically, Hibs or those around them will have to go on a 4 game winning streak, with us not picking up ANY points, to threaten our place in top 6. I reckon If we can get 3 point from our next 3 games...its gonna be our most sucsessfull season ever (ie: a top 6 finnish) :)
