  1. Well.....im moving next month, so it will in THEORY be a lot easier for me to get to games. So who knows, i might make at least any midweek games. BUT.....to provide a little info into this thread. I used to go to the games every week, with about 4-5 freinds. Of that group, pretty much since the arrival of SPL football, there re only two from that crowd who manage to go to games now.
  2. Sounds about right .Cheers They do however have the right to refuse you admission. Yeah......drive away the precious few that actually turn up week in week out. If i was to be searched going into a game....i would refuse to co-operate. If they refused me admission, id happily go home and save myself a small fortune.
  3. Loved a Wimpy Burger when they were probs the only fast food joint in the town...whilst on Church St. Quarterpounder with Cheese was my fave. As far as the Castle St resteraunt, the place is legendary in inverness. If it was to ever shut down, i think there would be a serious amount of unhappy people. Probably one oof the most loved estasblishments in the city
  4. EXCELLENT result. I was hopefull today...given our record over Hibees, but nevertheless, SUPERB stuff.
  5. You really want to head to the North of England
  6. Maybe due to the fact it was poorly advertised. i check on the ironworks website every so often and didnt notice Glasvegas on the list. That Said...you couldnt pay me to watch them
  7. Seriously...can anyone tell me....what is wrong in displaying a nations flag within its own borders? Why would anyone take offence at it....other than for the pure hell of it
  8. This comes hot on the heels of the story about Someone complaining coz two Grampian Fire Engines had Saltires painted on the the engine grills. Seriously.....some people badly need to get a life. I find it deeply offensive that someone should complain about my nations flag being on ANYTHING that comes from my nation! Where does common sense begin and end these days?
  9. By the looks of their stadium on sunday...they were boycotting that game too.
  10. Scotty, I ws trying to PM you a link to the game tomo, but site is playing up
  11. I agree with Alex. I think its mainly down to the cooking oils used these days. Best chips ever, were my mum and dads homemade chips....cooked in proper fat....none of this healthy options. Last good chippy i had (bare in mind...im in Inverness 99.9999999999% of the time) was about 10 yrs ago. My exs Dad owned a good chippy in Ayr and it was the last time i had anything tasty from a chippy. not sure how he cooks his goodies. But the offering in Snecky are pretty lousy. Even Harry Ramsdens. Decent fish...but chips remiind me of reheats
  12. I was going to say. I havent had an good chippy in many many years in Inverness. Where are the OK fish suppers to be found in sneck Dee? I saw an interesting article on tv a while back...about the fish supper...where MANY chippies were breaking the law...saying that it was Haddock or Cod they were using...when it wasnt
  13. I believe the Hilton Chippie is about as good as there is these days
  14. id like to reserve judgement till the end of the season.
  15. Very decent of ya Alex :)
  16. Just shows how money detaches you from reality.
  17. Torvean used to be quite popular in my day for sledging. On The Quarry side of the course. How i remember the long trudge home....soaking wet and freezing. Also went sledging at Craig Dunain Too. That bunker was immense for daredevils
  18. Whats this autism Initiative all about? Im interested as my wee boy is autistic.
  19. I think this years SPL will be the closest league ever. I dont think there will be many points between the team that gets relegated and those who qualify for europe
  20. Law of averages states we were due a beating. 1-5 is a bit of a pasting tho
  21. Can Scottish players not hit a ball first time...without needing to take a touch? Shinnie shoulsd have belted that ball played thro by Dorans and it would have caused Well problems.
  22. I think it would work in lots of cases. The fear factor in being taken to court usually makes you sit up and play fair. Just in the case which involved me....the guy turned out to be a serial deceiver who was well versed in the whole procedure....as he had ripped off many people off in the past.
  23. Just found this on a consumer website anout the small claims proceedure in Scotland 7. Resolution If you win your case, the defender will have to pay you any amount the court has decided is due. This amount can also include expenses. If the claim is for less than £200, the judge will not normally award any expenses. Where the claim is for more than £200, you can claim for your court fee, any loss of wages and travel expenses. However, there is a maximum that can be awarded. For claims between £200 and £1500 the maximum normally awarded is £150 and for claims between £1500 and £3000 the maximum will normally be 10% of the total claim. If the defender doesn't pay the money due, the court cannot help you enforce the order. You can employ a sheriff officer to do this, but you will have to pay them.
  24. Surely the whole point is that it's not at your own cost. That's why it's for small claims only. You could just raise another case if he didn't pay. BTW it's a Sheriff in Scotland, not a judge. On the other hand Maimie, I raised one a few years back. It costs you nowt apart from the fee which was about £35 (and refundable if you win) and the guy gave in a couple of days before he was due in court. Back when i looked into it.....you would make a claim for what it was you were disputing, and then you added costs into the equation. But i was suprised too....as i thought part of the service included would be recovery of the debt...but it wasnt, you would have to cover the initial cost of that and add it to your bill. As i say, back when i looked into raising a case, It was explained that you were basically paying for the Sherriff to make a judgement...that was all Also, the defender doesnt even have to turn up to the court...its not obligitory, but in that case, the Sherriff will most likely make a judgement against them. I ended up writing off the £600 we were ripped off....as i knew, and the defendant knew...i didnt have the money to recover the debts....even tho i would technically claimed it back. Basically, I was relying on the fear factor of taking the guy to court. He was well versed in ripping people off, and knew he was likely to get away with it.
  25. Maime....unless the small claims proceedure has changed in the past few years....id think twice about raising a case, unless the person your looking to take action against is easily scared. When i had cause to look into raising a civil action....i was suprised to learn just how toothless the court is. Basically....all that will happen is the judge will make a call on who owes who what. AND...if they rule in your favour.....all it is is a verbal agreement....you still have to recover the debt/goods at your own cost. Hope that makes sense? BUT.....that was a few yrs back...could well be different these days. I find those who tend to rip off people are very knowledgeable of the system, hence why they do it
