  1. 1 win in last 3rd of the season. Says it all really!
  2. Dunfermline 2-0 up now
  3. mwahahaha.....Dunfermline have scored!!
  4. I think we are safe....even IF.........Dunfermline Building Society win and we got beat. Best make sure tho
  5. In fact....by my sums, even if we draw and Dunfermline win......unless there is a swing of 20+ goals in dunfermlines favour in the last three games...we are safe
  6. As things stand, we are mathematically safe for this season :)
  7. I thought id give trying another router a try, just to rule out the possibility that it was that which was at fault, but naw....still no joy with the game(s)
  8. Was that against Stenny?
  9. I THINK i mentioned the other day on here, that my memory isnt the best
  10. I think you need the blood and thunder approach of Scottish players in any Scottish team. You need a blend of the Braveheart attitude and a bit of culture from outwith Scotland, then i think your on to a winner. Look at Rangers team of the 90s, when the THREE foreigners rule was in place. Rangers did their best in europe back then, despite the "handicap".
  11. best momment: The 4-3 away defeat to Livi on the 1st of May 1999. I THINK it was pretty much a league decider....was it? Anyhoo....I couldnt care if we got beat EVERY game if games were half as exciting and all round brilliant as that game was. At the end of the day, I follow my teams in the hope of being entertained. Sucsess is an added bonus! Worst Moment: Probs, the 2-0 Semi Final defeat to Dundee @ Hampden. Its a game i think was there for the taking and on our day, we were capabale of beating them. Just was a bit of an anti climax in the end. Still............we did flinking amazing to get there in the first place
  12. The Tryst ... and they were still doing underage drinking in the 80s ! Was it not also known as Treetops for a while, possibly AFTER it was the Tryst?
  13. Your son's at a different house and he has these issues also? Weird. Has he got the same ISP and/or router, do you share the same exchange? Have you tested the stability of your web connection could be lost packets etc? Seems more likely that the issue is at their end rather than the PS3. I'm no expert I'm afraid mate, but in my experience when this type of thing happens chances are each party will try and palm you off to another! Better still, buy a 360, superior online experience anyway! ;-) Hey fraz. You are correct. My son has this issue at home also with MWII. As far as i know, his mum has BT Broadband and its a different exchange. I havent tested the stability of my connection. Being honest, i wouldnt know how to. As far as i know, its NOT the ps3 at fault. I had a wee look into port forwarding, as im thinking its an internet related problem, but im a bit hesitant to do that myself incase i mess up my internet. Someone on another forum suggested it could be something to do with my PS3 account. So i even tried wiping the ps3, setting up a brand new user and PSN account, but still no joy. I feel like theres not much more to try. I might try activision again I do have a xbox360 here for the kids, but it has lay unused for the last 15 months or so :)
  14. Sony suggested i contact the manufacturer of my router to make sure all the ports were open on my router. So, i did, they told me that i would need to contact my ISP. So, i did that and they told me all the ports were open on my router (is there any way to check?) This problem only started recently and the same issue is now stopping my son going online with MWII at his home also.
  15. To give the Dalneighers some exercise???
  16. Not for many many years before the Merger they were'nt. From what i remember (bearing in mind i have a terrible memory) but Huntly were the team of the moment and had been for a good few seasons. Even County had had more recent sucsess than Caley, Clach and Elgin Sh1tty. If i recall corectly, Caley hadnt done much for the last 4-5 seasons they were in the Highland league.
  17. Recently, we have been unable to play CoD World at War, Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare II online. Can only play offline. I contacted Sony, they suggested it was the game, so i got in touch with Activision, who suggested trying the discs on another PS3. So i tried the discs on my neighbours sons PS3 and they worked fine online for him. So i got back in touch with Sony. They then suggested my ps3 was faulty and wouldn need replaced. So, next day, i went out to buy a new one. Got home, set it all up, and STILL, i couldnt get online with the games. My son has Modern Warfare II at home and he says its the same story with him. Having done some digging, it seems there has been a few people suffering simmilar issues with CoD games this year. Someone suggested it may have been a malicious hack. Someone else suggested that i try setting up a new profile on my PS3. So, i wiped the hard drive and set up a whole new profile and new PSN account, but no....the games still wont play. Has anyone else suffered simmilar.....or....perhaps has some inside info or any idea as to what to try? We can still play MW3 and Black ops online
  18. Ooh.....i didnt know Mad Eddie was a peado. I just remember being scaared of him (just as well really in the circumstances). Didint he live in an old barn type thing just off trafford road, near the canal? I just thought of another person i would have classed as a tramp, again...i think she frequented the Dalneigh area, and she was Maggie Bins. I THINK i recall her pushing abouot a shopping trolley everywhere...full of bags of rubbish
  19. Forty Pockets? Wasnt he on the go in the early half of the 1900's? Are you not thinking of Sandy (Santa)? Another old tramp was Mad Eddie who used to go about Dalneigh in the 70s and 80s
  20. Proctor.....id imagine County fans viewed Caley differently than Caley Viewed County. Given that we were the biggest town in the Region and also Caley were the scalp to claim out of any team in the league. Be intresting to see what they say
  21. Ross County were nothing at all in the grand scheme of things as far as the Highland League went. They would NEVER have got into the league ahead of Elgin, had Elgin not been stripped of the Highland League Championship for cheating around the time of Scottish League Reconstruction was going thro. As far as Rivalry went, County meant Nothing to Caley, as one was the most Honoured team in HL history, and the other team was a diddy team from a diddy town
  22. I was only really intrested in Snook when hendry was the main man. Since he began to slide, i lost interest. Snooker is like footie to me, it seemed so much better in days gone by than it is now. I too would love to see Hendry win the world champs again
  23. Three things........... First of all Cost, then value for moeny is poor and finally, entertainment value is pretty much zero. I honestly think thts your answer
  24. Anyone know when the tix go on sale?
  25. Im quite happy about this...as someone touched on, i think most strikers would have struggled at ICT this year, considering the service (or lack of) they were receiving. Im quite happy about him been given another year to prove himself.
