  1. Thats quite true as it happens.....BUT.......he should now get pelters for simply being one of the Great Unwashed...along with that **** brewster. On a simmilar note...av mentioned it on here before too....Ritchie Hart was in a pub in Inverness one night, slating ICT AND their fans...so give him pelters too!
  2. I agree Jay. that was one of the options i had come up with. Problem now is....getting my hands on a copy of Windows XP Home edition.
  3. Am just wanting rid of this XP professional which i cant get updates for, so things arent running smoothly. I thought if i got ubuntu...it costs nothing...install it on the new partition then not have to worry about the XP partition (maybe delete it, then delete the partition) Or if i could get my hands on a copy of xp home edition, i could just use my serail number, and install that on the new partition. Just trying to get some info on my options really. But ideally..i cant rely on this current XP, as i am very limited with it.
  4. Haha...Jay...i actually started writing this question in a PM to you specifically....then thought..nah...al no pester him. Anyhoo.....would i in theory, be able to, (if i got my hands on a windows xp home edition) install that on the partition, use the serial number on the side of this desktop, then delete the partition with the existing XP professional on it? I have requested a cd with Ubuntu on it. Would i be able, once it is installed, to wipe the partition with the offending version of XP Profes on it and everything be ok and run with ubuntu?
  5. Hi folks. Heres the situation. My laptop fooked up. Tough on me, but thats life. In the meantime, i am back to using the old desktop in my bedroom. Heres the problem tho....some time ago...i got a hold of Windows XP Professional. It was previously XP Home edition that was preinstalled on the pc. Problem now is......Microsfot has long since sussed me out and wont let me do any updates...so its not running smoothly. Q1. Is there anyway to get it back to the installed XP home edition...for which the licence is not in dispute? OR Q2. My other thoughts was to create a Partition (i got 95GB spare) and install ubuntu on it. question is....does things like msn messenger...windows live mail etc run on ubuntu? I was on youtube...and discovored Wubi...but XP isnt playing ball it seems and wont let me use it. I have no idea the best option...or how to go about it. Maybe you have a different option. IM all ears...Any help appreciated! :021:
  6. I have mentioned many times over the years the Mr Sutherland is not quite the hero some think he is. Make no mistake about it....he is an out and out businessman. His involvement with ICT is for his own financial gain. He is sitting tight until the percieved best time to act....then be assured...the TCS will be no more!
  7. Snap! (says it all really!)
  8. what does anyone expect from a bunch of inept amateurs? FFS....our puppet chairmans background lyes in shinty! Id like to know what percentage of the Club Directors are actually "fans" of ICT, let alone football!

  21. Justbeen reading how MP3's are killing off the good old record shop. Got me thinking.....how many people these days, are like me, and still prefer to listen to a CD or stick on vinyl rather than switch on itunes on the computer? Apart from anything.....in my humble opinion......you cannot beat the sound quality from a good stereo system! Whats your prefference for listening to music?
  22. This is just typical haggling......ICT come in with a low offer, Maruis sees it a lot higher.Probably end up somewehre in the middle (?140 000?) Id like to know what role our DOF played in all this and how culpable he is!!

  24. Thanx for that Alex. I only noticed the post today when i was going back over some old posts. PROBLEM IS.....I have run the Microsoft fix it, and it finds no issues to be rectified.
