  1. And Euro 2008 is here already. Good luck predicting. Make sure you clearly state which team you think will win if you are predicting a victory for someone, e.g Switzerland win 3-1. All time are BST. Group A: 7th June Switzerland v Czech Republic (5pm, BBC1) Portugal v Turkey (7:45pm, ITV) Group B: 8th June Austria v Croatia (5pm, BBC1) Germany v Poland (7:45pm, BBC1) BONUS: Which team will score first in Euro 2008?
  2. Well we are only 1 week away from the start of the Euro 2008, and the site has decided to run a Prediction League during the tournament, just like a World Cup one 2 years ago. It is really simple, simply predict the outcome of the matches, and try to gain extra points with bonus points!! All you need to do is for each match try to correctly predict the final score. It will be 1pt for every match outcome you get right e.g if you predict a 3-2 win for Spain and they won 2-0 you would get 1pt. If you get the scoreline correct aswell, it is an extra 2pts. So each match is out of 3pts!. The bonus questions will all be worth 2pts aswell. So the points are: correct result- 1pt Correct score- 2pts Bonus pts- 2pts If I missed anything :029:, sorry, and happy predicting!! :001: :001: :001:

black is suspended for the next reserve game. Does anyone have online commentary working??
  5. 2-1 caley!!! duncan left foot stunner, didnt see that coming.
  6. does anyone know the name of the song to the clip 'when we were champions'?
  7. Maybe the players are playing crap in order to get Brewster sacked?? Maybe they are playing bad because of what is happening to Wyness and Wilson etc
  8. i think brewster was signed on a just under 2 year deal? So we would have to pay another year of wages, but if Mr Savage can pay Niculae's wages, then he pay a EX-managers wages!
  9. There is a first for everything!! Tonight or in th next few days, ICT SHOULD be sacking a manager for the first ever time.
  10. yep announcement tonite would actually bring something good to today.
  11. yep Brew time to go, and once he has gone on monday, get wyness signed on a new deal. utter rubbish throughout 2008, obviously 2007 was just a honeymoon spell
  12. yep now 3-1, game is gone, so is brew hopefully
  13. total shambles and what gets me is the quote about russell duncan: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t..._ct/7303922.stm Wyness was happy to sign, Russell was thinking about other clubs, and demandin more. But when he says duncan hasnt let his performances drop during negotiations???? what games are you watchin mr brewster? wyness wont take it further i dont think, he will get another spl club i think no bother, i think his quotes suggest he is destined to move now no matter what. i hope anyone going to kilmarnock tomorrow who is angry will make their feelings known.
  14. it says zibi came on for cowie, but i think they mean mcallister!! i hope!!
  15. I have heard that our ex-player and ex-youth team coach (i think he left in november) is going back to playing in the 1st division!! Clyde have made him an offer and he could be ready for Saturday's game against Stirling. This time last season he was making sub appearances for us!! Remember
  16. interesting picture from the radio 1 sport relief challenge!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/sportrelief08/day4/20.shtml#jump
  17. I think the 1000 goals might include cup goals aswell as league goals.
  18. all thoughts go to his family and friends at this difficult time. the quickness of it all must be twice as hard to take.
  19. who are the 6 players by the way?? sounds a bit weird if none have been offered a new deal!
  20. as long as hibs dont approach brewster about taking over a former club. if hibs approach brew then this is his chance to show his loyalty to caley now
  21. I was thinking after the celtic game that brew should get MoM but the month is young with still 3 rounds of fixtures to go I think. Cowie for player of the month if he keeps it up??
  22. So then Mr Brewster, will it be a 4-4-2, or a 4-2-3-1, or a 4-5-1, or a 4-3-3 or something else? Whatever it is, after last week the fans will be sure he can pick the right formation again and lead Caley Thistle to victory. I am sure he is glad to have Malky back as his no.2, and it will be interesting to see how the players respond to this. With Rankin and Proctor both producing good performances last week, they will both be in contention this week I am sure. And with Wyness a doubt, will he stick with the lone striker, and will it be Niculae? With a good record against Hibernian, ICT will be aiming to keep it going. DETAILS Inverness CT v Hibernian Tulloch Caledonian Stadium Saturday 8th December @ 3pm SPL Referee: Kenny Clark Others: George Drummond, Gary Cheyne (Assistants), Mike Tumilty (4th official). FIXTURES Saturday 8th December: Aberdeen v Kilmarnock Celtic v St Mirren Falkirk v Dundee Utd Hearts v Motherwell Inverness CT v Hibernian Sunday 9th December: Gretna P-P Rangers (postponed due to Rangers European tie midweek) SPL RESULTS Saturday 1st December: Dundee Utd 0-1 Inverness CT (Black wonder strike) Hearts (Velicka) 1-1 Celtic (McDonald) Motherwell (Clarkson 2, Porter) 3-0 Gretna Rangers (Darcheville, Whittaker) 2-0 Kilmarnock St Mirren (Mehmet) 1-5 Falkirk (Moutinho 2, Thomson, Barrett, Finnigan) Sunday 2nd December: Aberdeen (Miller, Clark, Young) 3-1 Hibernian (Fletcher) If anyone managed to predict the 6 score lines from last week, then they have something special about them. Going by the score lines from the 1st weekend, December is going to be an unpredictable month. Hearts and Celtic was a tie that could have gone either way so a draw was probably the predicted result and so it proved to be. Elsewhere on Saturday, an inspired Inverness CT performance brushed aside the unbeaten home record of Dundee Utd thanks to a superb Ian Black strike. Brewster and Proctor played their first game against their old club, and showed Darren Dods that ICT are not to be messed with. Motherwell recorded a likely victory over Gretna, with a double from Clarkson and one from Porter. Rangers also got a win their fans expected, beating Kilmarnock 2-0. St Mirren and Falkirk was always going to be a close one to call with both teams near the bottom of the table. However Falkirk produced an awesome display to easily dispose of a wasteful St Mirren 5-1. With Dargo still not ready to play his first game for his new club, St Mirren could do with him now as they are starting to struggle. On Sunday, Aberdeen got a victory to lift the confidence after the defeat to Athletico Madrid. They beat Hibs 3-1, and it was evident that Hibernian missed captain Rob Jones who was injured. So did anyone expect a Caley Thistle victory, Falkirk to score 5 or Aberdeen to bounce back from Europe. If you did, please tell me the Lottery numbers for Saturday!! PAST MEETINGS The teams have played a total of 10 times (10 League, 0 Cup) with 22 goals (14 Inverness CT, 8 Hibernian) between them. Inverness CT: 5 wins (5 League, 0 Cup) Draws: 1 (1 League, 0 Cup) Hibernian: 4 wins (3 League, 0 Cup) A GAME TO REMEMBER For this weeks game to remember we take you back to one of the biggest wins in this fixture. It took place at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in the SPL on the 02/03/2005. This was Inverness? only second game in Inverness in the SPL after ground sharing with Aberdeen for the first half of the season. Inverness out played Hibs for the whole game and deserved their 3-0 victory. Goals came from Juanjo, Brewster and Wilson. The attendance was 4443. The teams were as follows: INVERNESS CT: Brown, Tokely, Munro, Dods, Golabek, Wilson, Hart, Duncan, McBain, Brewster, Juanjo. Subs- Proctor (for Hart), Bayne (for Brewster), Fatai (for Juanjo), Fraser, McCaffrey, Hastings, Prunty. HIBERNIAN: Simon Brown, Whittaker, Caldwell, Smith, Murphy, Orman, Antonio Murray, Ian Murray, Scott Brown, O?Connor, Riordan. Subs- Shiels (for Orman), McDonald (for A.Murray), Sproule (for I.Murray), Brown, McCluskey, Morrow, Konte. The referee was John Underhill and there were three bookings on the day all for Hibernian: Antonio Murray, Murphy and Ian Murray. Seven of the Inverness players who started the match still play for the club (including Brewster who has returned). FACTS BETWEEN THE TEAMS ? All League meetings between the teams have taken place in the SPL. There have been no cup ties between the teams. ? Inverness have won five out of the last eight meetings. In the five wins, Hibernian have only scored once. ? Barry Wilson is the top scorer in this fixture with 5 goals. ? In Craig Brewster?s first spell at the club, his opening game was away to Hibernian. Now in his second spell in managing the club, his first league game was away to Hibernian. This was the last fixture where Hibs won 1-0, however, Brewster will be out to prove he can get his tactics right again. ? Inverness CT are one of Hibernian?s bogey team!! TOP SCORERS 5 goals: Barry Wilson (ICT) 3 goals: Derek Riordan (Hibs), Fletcher (Hibs), 2 goals: Juanjo (ICT), Dargo (ICT) 1 goal: Brewster (ICT), Proctor (ICT), Wyness (ICT), Dods (ICT), Beuzilin (Hibs), Killen (Hibs), McBain (ICT) PLAYERS TO WATCH Marius Niculae (Inverness CT): How many more weeks will we be saying, ?its ok, he will score for us this weekend?! Had that penalty gone in at Easter Road on the 1st of September, things could have been so different. With a huge amount of bad luck, Marius is still without a league goal, but is playing some good football according to some fans. He played as a lone-striker last week against Dundee Utd, but will it be the same this week? John Rankin (Inverness CT): Its funny what can happen in a week. This time last week Rankin was already saying he would be interested in a move to St Mirren if he had to leave to get 1st team football. However, Brewster gave him his first start of the season last weekend and it paid off as he played well. He may well feature tomorrow, depending on the formation, but one things for sure, there is now a possibility of our most expensive player staying at the club. INJURIES Dennis Wyness is a doubt and Ross Tokely is suspended for one more game. FUTURE FIXTURES Saturday 12th January 2008 @ Easter Road (Scottish Cup) Saturday 23rd February 2008 @ Easter Road
  23. is he going to become an assistant to brew?? wont happen though but just a thought!!
  24. Donald was a very well respected man throughout the team, the players definitely thought he was a great influence, from what i know. i dont think brew and park did see eye to eye all the time, so this was possibly goin to happen. however, park under robbo and christie was a ict legend and did so much behind the scenes and during match days. the club have lost a very good coach here, one that could come back and hurt us when his new team (whoever it may be) plays against us in future. want to thank donald for everything he has done, fantastic servant as well!! :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: good luck wherever you go, and something tells me management mite tempt him, st johnstone anyone?? probably not, just me!!
  25. Brewster and McAllister on the bench??? :029: :029: :029: Proc in for Tokely, Nicuale in for Bayne and no Black and Caff dropped. No Deano anywhere, Rankin on the bench, interesting selection.
