Quote from 606 live feed :- "Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has admitted to diving in an attempt to win a penalty in the 1-1 draw with Leeds today (the one that wasn't given as opposed to the one that was). "I want to apologise to the managers because I actually dived," said the 21-year-old. "I am not the sort of player to do it but I own up to it and apologise. I don't have to own up to it... but I have just expressed how I feel. I hope people respect that." Thoughts?" so he admits to cheating after the game, when they scraped a replay. seriously not impressed with this from walcott. and didnt think it was arsenal's style, be interesting to hear Mr Wengers thoughts
  2. couldnt make the game but managed to put it on at work. didnt sound good, surprised at the attendance, if the numbers are to believed then they outnumbered us
  3. thanks Charles, was wondering what the plan would be tomorrow. cant make the game due to work and hope i can get my radio tuned in well enough
  4. more water on the real mr christian........ i am not going to get into a Peeing contest about fan loyalty as to be perfectly honest the prospect of it strikes me as particularly pathetic and playground-esque
  5. was just thinking, i know several people have said that 16 teams dont give enough games BUT...... if we re introduced the winter break then would that not be capable of filling the gap?

possibly alex but the draw was made in november sp surely tom morrow (Or who ever supplies them) could make one in that time frame
  7. what i want to know is how this is going to attract more fans? as it is fans are fickle enough as it is... how many people have stayed away after a bad run or when something else crops up? if we have more opportunities to see teams then there is less likely-hood of feeling the need to go to EVERY game thus reducing revenue. i for one will be thinking twice about a season ticket next year, if the ten team gets through i dont know if i want to put my self through a season with a 1 in 4 chance of relegation. it is not progress imho

is it just me or does it seem a bit strange that the club are not advertising the Elgin Match as our next home game. the banners at the round about are showing hamilton as our next home game

  12. kind of got mixed thoughts about this was inevitable that he would pick up an injury before to long so its maybe best he gets it now rather than in a tight run in... rather not at all but hey ho see Terry has signed a new experienced player, would love to know where he got this Grant Ross from and where he plays is he any good

My link good news for us... killie level on games but still 3 points behind. bit of a surprise to see them slip like that at home yet again, think mr lennon may just find a p45 if this keeps up for much longer

not impressed but.... this is really a bigger debate and could easily be moved to serious topics. we ALL have to pay a licence fee and the bbc are the company that gains from this, we should be entitled therefore to unbiased fair and even reporting but time and time again it has been shown that they can not or will not acknowledge the teams outside the old firm fairly, i did hear it mentioned i think on your call the other week that even if we played one of the in firm offf the park that the medias focus would not be on how well we have preformed but how poorly they have. it is a sad state of affairs to admit but this also goes further than the world of football and is frequently evident in all aspects of there broadcasting. it has to be said that is the licence fee really valid any more when the corporation is failing in being impartial and to live up to the needs/requests of the public? :irritated:

  18. i would be intrested to know if aberdeen's position on the matter has changed much over the course of the 8 months as they have slid further down the league seeing the mention of play off i had a wee thought SPL bottom team- relegated next two - two leg home and away play off "semi" 1st Div first - promoted next two - two leg home and away play off "semi" winners of each semi to have single game at hampden to decide promotion/play off and as we know only have 1 automatic Champs League slot 2nd vs 3rd hampden play off for euro league slot ( adap)ted to cover the number of slots we have
