  1. My concern is that if we let him go to another SPL team we will live to regret it. He'll definitely be a player who will come back to haunt us. Dennis still has the skill, but seems to be lacking in confidence a bit. Once he gets a goal or two under his belt he'll be away again. A Wyness/Dargo partnership could cause us real problems and St Mirren are a team we need to be beating. Gus McPherson is one of the SPL managers who rate Rory, so could they not take him instead? Hope this isn't true, but it is certainly possible. He'll have to wait until his contract expires before he can sign anything.
  2. I was planning coming down for a bit, but came home from Fort William and wasn't feeling very well, so went for a lie down and just up. I'll PM the Virgin Mary an order as there is a couple of things I'm needing. Hope it goes well
  3. I can tell you that there will be a short period of season ticket holder priority (not sure what other groups might or might not be included). Alex you are absolutely right, there will be a lot of people who want to support Barry who are not necessarily ICT fans, but it would be a shame if they got priority over the regular fans. I would expect there to be a fairly large away support and probably a sell out all crowd all round. Some good hospitality packages being put together so it promises to be a good game. I think while these things are all being sorted behind the scene the announcement might now be delayed until the beginning of next week. Worth waiting for though. :004:

  5. Not so much the secrecy, but waiting for absolutely everything to be in place before making a formal announcement. Seems sensible to me, although I do understand your frustration. Won't be long now. :001:
  6. You know who it is now, don't you...? :rolleyes02: :024: :024: :015: :015: Can't tell you or I'd have to shoot you. :001: MMmmmmm tempting. :rotflmao: I s being dotted and T s being crossed as I type. :003:
  7. Final details now being tied up so watch out for the official launch within the next few days. :004: :004:
  8. I remember those days well. Bobby Lennox was quite a regular attender. We used to go every year on the last week of the season, finals week for all competitions. I have a photo somewhere of me (wearing a red and black jumper :003: ) with Roy Aitken and Bobby Lennox. That was a fun day and all for a few seconds of an advert. :clapping03: :clapping03: I've been an extra with my Rolls Royce on a BBC programme called Rockface and of course I endured a whole season on the Setanta advert last year. I have a chauffeur company, so I have met a few 'celebs'. Most recently Groove Armada and DAFT PUNK over the weekend of Rockness last year.
  9. :rotflmao:
  10. And I thought you were going to offer him the one I saw you with a few weeks ago. :001:
  11. At least 4 for me please. :001: Looking forward to it.
  12. Well you are wrong on this occasion. :023:
  13. I thought that the Sports Trust did happen, but I could be wrong. There's also the ICT Trust and the ICT Supporter's Trust - very confusing. Especially as they all have a prominent member by the name of David Sutherland. :015: ICT Supporter's Trust have made a short statement at www.ictsupporterstrust.co.uk advising members that we will be meeting with the new chairman within the coming week to discuss some of the issues raised.
  14. It's the chairman's job to manage the board and budgets, not to have to personally invest in the club.
  15. And I don't think it's over just yet. :003:
  16. Now your just taking the pish :tic01: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
  17. Marius is on a 2 year contract so the money has to be in the budget for next season. I think what David Sutherland is trying to say is that if we sell him on we might be able to bring in 2 or 3 good players to replace him by freeing up his wages as well as whatever fee he might attract. Not so sure we'll have done his transfer value any good with this public display of financial problems. David Sutherland has also alluded to the fact that ICT look to make a loss this year, but that is definitely not down to Marius's wages alone as the Orion investment would have been enough to top it up for 2 years, even although it was paid in this financial year.
  18. Not much of an arguement there, I'm sure we would go on and on about it if we won the UEFA cup, and of course as you prefer the Bhoys, you don't think they would go on and on about it if they were to win, but of course they can't as they were knocked out ages ago. :003:
  19. More revelations from Alan Savage on the back page of the P & J. Watch out for it online later. Not sure if it's been written by IHE though as it does refer to links with Gheorghe Popescu's football academy in Romania to blood some of the young Romanian talent at ICT as well as major improvements to the stadium. He also says that he will continue to support the club, but only if Sutherland leaves him alone.
  20. Every cloud has a silver lining. :015: :015: :015: I think we'll have a few stories yet, before we actually get the truth - if we ever get it. Interesting times.
  21. I don't think the expected losses this season are all down to Marius. I think that you are closer to the mark with 'other costs have run out of control'.
  22. I think he spoke quite well. Made his points well. Now for the other side of the story. :003:
  23. Orion contacted us. As LG has said it would seem that we have been misled or at least allowed to assume things that were not actually true. Is this Savage's fault or is it the board as a whole - who knows (other than those involved). I think we need the benefit of more information before we can actually decide to lay the blame at anyone's feet or absolve anyone. I am sure there will be comments and counter-comments from both sides in the coming days. Whatever the actual truth, and whether we ever find out that actual truth, the bottom line is that there seems to have been a fair bit of boardroom disharmony during this season and it has infected the whole club from top to bottom. A club that was once renowned by the football establishment for its team spirit and by its fans for its openness is currently an amateur looking shambles of petty arguments, power struggles, cliques, spin, secrecy and downright lies. I think we are all sick of it and those who have been involved in this disintegration of values should give themselves a **** good shake and ask themselves if their positions are tenable. :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
