    Reserve game today

Okay on to next week. Reserves play St Mirren in Inverness and they are sitting 10 points clear at the top of the reserve league. Can we muster up a little extra support and encourage our team to give them a doing, could put us in 2nd place. I know it doesn't really matter, but 10 points is a lot and more importantly they were gloating about it last weekend. I used to make more games, but 2pm kick offs are really difficult for me, but I might just make a special effort on Tuesday. :001:
  2. OK I was only 11 ! That's why I put a question mark next to Fiat. But Midmills College WAS Culloden Academy for a couple of years as the academy in Culloden was still being built. I can remember Midmills being the IRA, but don't ever recall it being Culloden Academy. Mr Bannerman, can you help?
  3. I've been away for a couple of days and look what happens. :015: :015: I would like to thank Parkie for all he has done for this club, in both his spells with us. I don't think many will realise just how much time and effort he has put in. I have read through this thread and there are some good points and a whole lot of rubbish too. I believe that Parkie wanted away, he had lost his sparkle over the last few weeks and just wasn't a happy guy. He was in with the players for an extra session only last Wednesday, so he has given 100% right up until now. He was very quiet in the dug out at the weekend (noticeably so). The timing is good as Brew will get his own man in with time to take stock before the transfer window opens. I also have to wonder if there is a connection with Robbo. Coincidence that he was at out game on Saturday and Parkie resigns on Monday?
  4. I'm happy with that, they work well together. Peter is a great guy who knows his stuff. Welcome back I say.
  5. You'll just have to be his friend then. I can view it. :001:

    Reserve game today

I think there was a problem Scotty, I got a message to say that it was put up last night but it would seem that we couldn't access it for some reason. They might have re submitted it this morning or the problem might have been resolved then. Way above my understanding.

    Reserve game today

Alex - nice of you to offer defence, but Fiona does work late on a regular basis to update the site and she did exactly that last night. It would seem that some people couldn't souce it for some reason, but the information was put on the official site sometime last night.

    Reserve game today

P & J have a report but it's too early for a link as their site won't be updated. I'm out all day today, but maybe someone could keep an eye out for it. Blackie, Hart and Rankin all played.
  9. CB has worked with Parkie before and they get on well. I would suggest that CB would have been happy to have the continuity and experence of Parkie. Grassa did say at the meeting that if the new manager was to want his own no.2 that would form part of the negotiations and even if that was the case Parkie would have been retained and given another coaching role with the youth teams for instance. DP is a highly respected member of staff at the stadium so I wasn't surprised they wanted to keep him.
  10. Okay read what you want between the lines. Rather than suggest CB and DP don't get on I was merely trying to suggest that there are no signs of a fall out between JR and DP. I believe JR and CC had words and JR may have suffered as a result, but as far as I know it's all back to a clean sheet. Why is everybody so keen for there to be fall outs?
  11. That's not a bad post CH2. I didn't say whether or not I agreed with the decisions, just tried to pass on a bit of what I have heard. I do rate John Rankin, but all this cloak and dagger stuff about him sleeping with Brew's bird etc I know to be a load of rubbish. Brew does rate him as a player and I wouldn't be surprised if he's included in the team selection this week, even if that's on the bench. JR is a true professional, which is why DP admires him and I'm sure Brew will appreciate that too. Whether we agree or not, Brew has to play, what he feels is his best team and for some reason he has players he prefers for now.
  12. I don't know JB. I do know that Brew likes Blackie - the player, but I don't imagine he'll tolerate indiscipline. I wouldn't be surprised if Blackie is 'rested' for a couple of games. On the other hand can we afford to make so many changes? We'll have no Bayne or Tokely, so the midfield will have to be strong.
  13. I don't accept the 'family reasons' theory as he was living here before he came to us, so he knew exactly what life in the Highlands was all about. He has also bought a new house quite recently. I also don't think he's had a fall out with DP, unless it's to do with the moaning he's been doing about getting a game. DP is/was JR's no 1 fan. DP comes in on his day off to work with the players who aren't getting a game or are returning from injury and JR is one who is always up for extra training and has been attending these extra sessions with DP. I have also seen JR out running a couple of times recently, so he's obviously working hard at keeping his fitness levels up. How many other players do you think were out running on their weekend off? I just don't think he fit's into Brews current team structure, but that may change over the next few weeks, although it does sound like Brew is keen to put him out on loan in January.
  14. I've often thought about typing it up, but just never got around to it. Never thought about selling it though. :001:
  15. :rotflmao: We were in the Caley Club. Also mobbed, both bars.
  16. The name of the pub possibly JB.
  17. You could always try the car park. :001:
  18. Will do Unc. :L
  19. I've had a pretty busy week, but I am going to a meeting on Friday to discuss the issues from Saturday. I'll text you and let you know how I get on.

    SFA Youth Cup

I had planned to pop down, but my children's social life interfered with mine yet again. :015: :015: To be fair, it wasn't very well advertised, but the friends and families of the players would have been well aware, so you make a good point. Any sign of any first team players showing their support?

    Jambos game

Diggars is great craic, but get in early if you are taking kids as they are only allowed in the snug area at the back and it gets pretty mobbed. :021: :021:
  23. Rock Steady :015: :015: All of them :015:

  25. Sad but very true TM4TJ. It was ridiculous and whilst I can see the funny side, I was absolutely raging at the time. Buffy and Groovy Dave are well known to many of us and Buffy has been a regular in the Innes during recent Dunfermline games. If fact she enjoyed hospitality in a box (courtesy of Weestie), in her pars colours, the last time we played Dunfermline. The one part of the discussion Buffy has omitted is that the lady from the car park, who told us it was nothing to do with her, continually insisted that Groovy Dave had 'pushed' the steward. The pushing she referred to, we confirmed was verbal and not physical, although she continued to tell the supervisor that he had indeed pushed the steward. GD had no colours on show, other that a black and white scarf and Buffy was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a Dunfermline badge on it. It was a very embarassing exchange over nothing. These guys were celebrating Buffy's birthday as well as their recent engagement and I think that we should be pleased that they chose our game this weekend for their celebrations. The steward 'on the door' was unlicensed and was unhappy when challenged (Pushed!!!). The other supervisor (who wasn't in charge of that area) shook her head in disbelief as she handed over to the appropriate supervisor. I was angry and very embarassed at this ridiculous exchange.
