  1. Still can't decide, probably see how I feel on BD morning. Might just save it for Aberdeen, but then again.....
  2. Errrrrrrr no. We were under the cosh as soon as Blackie was replaced. Simple as that. We started to lose the midfield battle from that moment. So we should have hooked Marius instead ? Must be some view fom the Ivory Tower :001: It's great aye, gives you a great overall perspective of everything that's happening on the pitch.......and not just the select bits you want to see (or imagine, in some cases) :001:
  3. Can't see anyone putting an offer in, he's not 'fashionable' enough. Now if he played for Hibs, I'm sure one of the OF would be lining up a ?4m bid just now.
  4. Why the continual references to 'local' lads, 'local' heroes etc?? Is it a 'local' team for 'local' players only now then?? :017:
  5. Breat at what he does, but.......his passing is mince. And he seems to have taken over the Blackie role of picking up stupid bookings this season. How come he doesn't get the same stick Blackie was getting? Great player yes, infuriating at times though. Have all his goals been screamers??? I mind one at Brechin a few years back, which was. The one against Utd last season was. Yesterdays was. Was there one against Falkirk this year?? Can't mind his others....when were they?
  6. Errrrrrrr no. We were under the cosh as soon as Blackie was replaced. Simple as that. We started to lose the midfield battle from that moment.
  7. He did yes, but his first two contributions were to give away free kicks, then he got carded. Then there was one comical moment where he just stood and watched, completely motionless, while their defence brought it forward. I like Graham, and credit to him for his goal, but he's a bit of a headless chicken. Brew has it spot on at the moment, keep Bayne for the last 15. The trouble today was the midfield weren't getting forward quick enough to support Niculae (and later, Bayne), which meant both were isolated too often.
  8. So 5 games won, and you want to change a winning team? You're seriously not going to suggest Bayne in his place are you??? :015:
  9. 12...nae bother :022: Falkirk might be tricky mind.
  10. Brilliant game. Berra should've been off after bring down Niculae in the first few minutes. Then their 'comedy' keeper slides yards outside the area....with the ball, and nothing given. Then a brilliant Duncan strike, after some fantastic passing. A Rankin penalty, 'won' by Marius :015: Then, for some bizarre reason, we sat back and invited them on to us. Taking Blackie off was a mistake, he was outstanding (as were Fraser and Rankin). Couldn't really see their penalty, but the players were raging about it. Then the keeper/Duncan incident :rotflmao:.....all their subs used, an outfield player in goal, and everyone screaming 'shooooooooot'. Conversation with my son in the last minute.... "Ach, Bayne's mince, absolute rubbish.....go on Graham!!!! Ya fecking dancer!!!! Top entertainment, against a big, physical Hearts team. Special mention for their goalie....possibly the most inept keeping performance you could hope to see??? Oh, and another special mention for the ginger 'psycho' down towards our left :crazy07:
  11. Got mine from the club today, can't wait :022:
  12. According to the HN Deano's returned to Gillingham for a two week trial, likely to lead to a permanent move. Sad to see the wee man go, as he never really got a chance here. But for his injury pre-season, he could've had a good run. Good luck to him back down south. :clapping03:
  13. Bizarre team of the week that :017: Ian Black, MOTM in most peoples eyes, isn't included, yet Hartley, who I only noticed was playing when he took the corners, is. Very odd.
  14. Cheers Scotty, that'll make things easier :022:
  15. What time's KO? BBC has it down as 3pm, yet it says 19.45 on here. Any ideas?
  16. Michael's save was the best ever in footballing history, by any keeper. And that includes that lucky one Banks made in 1970. :001:
  17. Maybe I'm getting the games mixed up. I can't recall the 0-0 one, though I would've been there. :017: Maybe he had two similar incidents at two Dunfermline away games.....not that that would be a surprise :015:
  18. That's the one aye. We were two down, but got a lucky penalty, and Dennis had a flukey lob from the edge of the area, all in the last 10 minutes. We were awful that night. Blackie had been acting like a nutter, and if I mind right, was lucky not to be sent off after lashing out at one of their players when they'd both tumbled over. He was hooked for his own good, he would've got sent off. When he was hooked he took off his top......I can't remember if he actually threw it anywhere though :024:
  19. It did Rig, The 2-2 midweek one down there.......unless there were 2 shirt issues.
  20. Me +2 (possibly 3) :022:
  21. Ian should be setting his sights on far bigger things than Hibs/Hearts. He's got the ability to go very far. Until now, his temper has held him back, but it really does look like he's resolving that issue, and I firmly believe he'll end up at a BIG club. All the raving the media have done over Scott Brown this season, and wee Blackie gave him a masterclass yesterday :001:
  22. More to the point, who had that horrible feeling that the 'penalty saving maestro' would actually save one?????
  23. Yep, I was critical of his appointment (or more, the manner of it), but I'm delighted to be eating humble pie now. The 'spirit' is back, and dare I say it, Brew's tactics, and substitutions have been spot on lately. I think he's learnt a lot in his time away from us, and we're seeing the benefits. Well done Craig :clapping03:
  24. Not saying we should sell anyone, but when you look at the over-inflated prices the likes of Hibs get for average players, how much would we expect for some of our squad? If Brown and Thompson are worth millions, then what about the likes of Black, Rankin, and Cowie?
  25. I thought Blackie was our MOTM, but, yep. Marius was fantastic too. His touch is superb, and all his lay offs go to where they're supposed to. I've defended him all season, and he's now really starting to look the part. He might well have no pace, but his skill more than compensates.
