  1. Yep, brilliant. Can't wait to see the highlights. :clapping03:
  2. If Scott Brown is worth ?4m, how much is Blackie worth??
  3. Superb stuff, best game I've EVER been at!! :001: We were immense, and even when we went 2 down, we kept our heads up. Hard to single anyout out, as they were all brilliant, but Ian Black, and Rankin, were just fantastic. Sowas Marius (despite the fact he should've scored with the header). Heard Strachan on the way home, what an ungracious wee ***** he is :015: :015: Elvis should've been off, but maybe it was to our advantage that he wasn't.....he was mince. Ach, still can't get this big stupid smile off my face :001: Oh aye, and well done Michael Fraser. Great game, and that save at the end was stunning.
  4. I've no worries a deal will be sorted out for McGuire :022: 10 points will do me just fine.
  5. 1-2 to them, with the winner coming in the 99th minute.....as usual :014:
  6. Good result for the mighty Bluebirds too :022:

    Marius

I didn't see a card either. SoS has this though... 'Niculae's initial shot was cleared off the line by Darren McCormack but the ball returned to the striker who made sure of it second time round, ramming it low into the Hibs net. Niculae then was booked for over-celebrating. ' :017:
  8. Yep, if that'd connected he'd have been in serious trouble I think. Still, he's always going to have his 'moments', that's what makes him the player he is. It's just good he's stopped getting into trouble for all the petty backchat etc on the pitch. Both games since the Motherwell 'incident' have seen Ian produce his best performances for ICT IMO. Hopefully a third's on its way next week.

    Marius

Scotland on Sunday says Marius was booked for his celebration after the second. Can't say I noticed anything, anyone else see the card produced?

    Marius

Thought we'd best kick off the weekly Marius thread. 10/10 for him today, superb performance, and he richly deserved his goals. What thay first one (and second) meant to him, AND the team, was evident in the celebrations. The man is class, and hopefully those goals will boost his confidence in front of goal.
  11. Great performance, and Marius.....can't remember such celebration when someone scored!! What was that about squad disharmony??? Every single player mobbed him when he scored, and you could see what it meant to every one of them. First half we were good, second half we sat too deep, and they turned the pressure on. Credit to Brewster though, he recognised this and changed to a 4-4-2, with the result that we could've got 3 or 4 in the end. The defence still makes me nervous, and their were quite a few occasions when lack of communication nearly cost us. Full marks to Michael though, he made two excellent, crucial saves. No way can we get rid of Rankin. He was immense last weel, but he was even better this week....my MOTM, despite Marius's goals. Great result, sets us up nicely for next week. D'you reckon any Hibs fans will even bother coming up here next time?? They must hate it :015: :015: :015: :015:
  12. Aye, I should've added that he was quickly shot down by the other posters......bizarre comment though. Nothing against Hibees myself either, infact, I've nothing against anyone other than OF fans.
  13. Gotta love this guy's comments on Hibs.net about the dark, frozen, wasteland that is Inverness.... "Posted about travel to Inverness after we went up there to play on boxing day 2 years ago and about the nightmare and dangerous journey we had coming back and feel that Inverness should be a no no for home games in dec and January due to the weather that will be encountered trying to get there in these months hopefully the ones who venture up there tomorrow get there and back safely but I for one wont be venturing near there tomorrow" :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Winter break anyone?? Just for us Like???
  14. I'll not be applauding ANY Celtic players. I'll keep my applause for our own team.
  15. Personally I'd suggest letting Rory and Markus go. With Caff looking likely to leave, and Morgan on his way, there's the four (if thats the intended figure). I;d like to see McDonald and Watt both given a chance, as neither has had one yet. Can't see McGuire going back, so with him Watt, Munro, Hastings, Tokely, Proctor, and McBain (if needed), we need 1, possibly 2 new defenders. How good is Kerr? From what I've seen of him he looks an excellent young player, and we could already have a partial solution. I'm just wondering how far away from the 1st team he is.
  16. Good luck to him. :022: Always thought he was a decent squad player, but didn't quite have what was needed for a regular start. Trying to think of a stand-out 'Morgan moment'.......his goal at Tannadice when we gubbed them 4-2 is the only one that springs to mind :024:
  17. What, the one he scored from the half way line??? :023:
  18. Sorry, I'm a bit confused here. What's the difference in someone criticising someone for their performance, and someone criticising someone (constantly) for their value/contribution ratio to the team? Is this thread supposed to be ironic? :017:
  19. He played very well, even if I can't think of any particularly outstanding saves he had to make. His kicking was excellent, and other than one that went straight out, virtuallu every one landed straight on Cowies head(aye, Cowie won virtually all the headers Michael put down to him). Great performance after all that went on last week :clapping03:

    Rankin

I must say I was surprised to see Rankin start today, after all that's happened in the last week. If he's been told he can leave in January, then it seems a bit odd to start with him. Is this Brewsters way of letting other clubs see what he can do, and maximising a sale price? Or is it a chance for Rankin to show he's got what it takes to be part of Brews future plans? I've never been a great fan of Rankin, and other than a few great goals, he's never done that much. On the evidence of today though, it'd be madness to let him go. Yes, it was only one game I know, but I've never seen such commitment from John, he chased everything, and that was certainly the best performance I've seen from him in an ICT shirt. Maybe Rankin was the only option Brewster had in order to string five across the middle, and if that was all there was to it, is there any chance he did enough today to make Brewster think again?
  21. Only two bookings, and a walk-out so far this season. A vast improvement on last year!! He's playing his best football since he came here at the moment. Today he was class :022:
  22. 1 As long as Mr Savade wants to....it's his money to give to who he wants. 2 Yes 3 Yes 4) How long are you going to be banging on about his wages? It's as though you're obsessed. This is getting really tedious. How about praising the contribution he's making to the team? That'd be a first.
  23. Great performance. Tactics were spot on, with 5 across the middle. We dominated the first half, and Blackies goal was superb. Blackie, Rankin, and Cowie were immense. Second hald was backs to the wall stuff at times, but Utd only had one tactic and that was to punt it high to Wilkie(who for a big bloke, goes down like a wee fanny everytime someone goes anywhere near him). McGuire dealt with Wilkie superbly. We could've got another towards the end as we counter attacked quicly, more and more, and were unlucky on a few occasions. Some great performances today. Blackie got a 10/10 for me, as did Rankin and Cowie. That was the best I've seen from Rankin. Special mention for Proctor too, who must've had a wee smile to himself proving to Levein that he IS good enough :021: Very satisfying victory. Well done to Brew for getting it spot on :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
  24. I reckon it's more Marius's fault myself :004:
  25. I read the TV game is Clyde/Utd....strange choice :017:
