I know both clubs have to agree on the price, but this stinks of ICT saying 'What's that?? £17 the cheapest?? Aye, no bother.....you'll fill the ground on yer own anyway'. Why are there no family section concessions? Even if both clubs have to agree on the prices, ICT don't have to agree with what's proposed. If anything, surely being the home team gives you more power in these decisions? No doubt the ground will be full.....with Celtic fans.
  2. That's the North Stand concession prices for the Celtic game. :008: :008: :008: Well, feck that. For only the second time in two years I'll be missing a home game because I'm not paying £39 for myself and my kid to watch a game of football. And if the club have the cheek to come out with one of those 'oh, the people of Inverness never come out to support their team' statements they can go feck themselves. How on earth are they trying to encourage people to support their team with these prices? I predict a couple of thousand home fans and 5000 Celtic fans. So instead of ICT getting £40 it'll be the local pub getting it.
  3. Todays Courier has CC saying Dargo will be out longer than expected, and he won't be back until March. He's already saying he won't be fit for the Celtic game :007:
  4. ***** draw :007: :007: :007: Don't understand this 'we'll have to beat Celtic at some point' line. Not if they'd be drawn away at Hibs for instance...Hibs beat them, we wouldn't have to face them. And at least if we'd avoided them until the final then we'd have been certain of European football next season. Arse.

    Agreed Short discussion that.

Got to say, after he gave that ballboy a mouthful of abuse, I was impressed with his actions afterwards. I noticed the next time the ball went out, Stillie gave him the thumbs up and said thanks, and at the end of the game he went straight over to him and gave the wee lad his goalie gloves and had a few words with him. Just thought he deserved a :022:
  7. Anyone bar Celtic, or Hibs away. Partick at home would be ideal :022:
  8. That was absolutely dire :017: Still, we won! Russell's goal was a cracker, in fact, he was brilliant today. Hard to pick anyone else out, defence was solid, McBain actually took people on, Rankin was good again. Up front we were awful. Bayne and Rory just didn't work at all. Rory reverted to type....he was pish. Granted he did ok last week, but the boy simply isn't good enough. Why does he tire so quickly?? There were times when we broke and the ball was being held up because he was miles behind the play. Lets hope Dargo's back very soon. Oh, and Michael.....nice to see the confidence levels high, but there were a few heart stopping moments there! Excellent game though. Apart from Russells goal, the only other thing to get excited about was Roscoes run....one Pele would've been proud of :001:

He DID have his best game yesterday, but considering what's gone before, that's hardly surprising. As I said elsewhere, he did improve the longer the game went on, and he did show some neat touches.....BUT, IMO he's got absolutely no pace, his first touch is shocking, and for a fairly big bloke he gets brushed off the ball far too easily. He also seems to tire extremely quickly. He always looks dead on his feet after about 30 minutes. He may well come good, but he's had plenty of chances. And while yesterday was an improvement I'm not convinced by him at all. I think we desperately need a new striker before the window closes.
  10. ....of your two main strikers, seemingly, picking up the exact same injury in two consecutive games???? Uncanny. It's not like it's a common injury either. And how come a dislocated shoulder takes upto 6 weeks to heal? 'Kinell, in my day we just popped it back in and got on with the game :023: Any more news on Denzils injury? How long will he be out?

Same last week against Hibs. There were a couple of incidents that would've normally provoked a reaction, but Blackie just got on with the game.
  12. We played well and deserved at least a point. Rankin gets better with each game, and Barry was immense today. For once it was our defence that let us down. What the **** was Hastings doing heading the ball back into the box for their first? I couldn't really see what happened for their winner but again it sounds as though the defence was at fault. I thought Dods was very poor today, his worst game for us. I can't think of him winning a single header against Vanwhateverhisnameis. Sorry to go against the grain here, but I didn't think Rory was anything special. He did improve a bit as the game went on, and he did have some nice wee touches. But he's got absolutely no pace, he gets brushed off the ball too easily, and his first touch was poor. Without Denzil and Dargo we badly need someone else up front with Bayne. Overall a great performance.
  13. Dods was awful today. Easily the worst game I've seen him play in an ICT shirt.
  14. Agree with the Rankin(Rangers) and Dargo(Stirling) ones. Dargos goal away at St Mirren was superbly taken as well.

Hmmmm.....should we not be critical anymore incase it's get misinterpreted as abuse?? As I said in the first post, I dont think Ross, up until now, has been anywhere near the standards he's reached in previous seasons. That's not abuse, it's my opinion. And if the reasoning is that he's not had time to reach the fitness levels others have, because of his injury, then it raises the question of why he's been continually selected?? However, using Scottys criteria, I think of myself as being a 3. I've been critical of certain selections, certain performances, and certain players......only when I think it's been merited. Likewise, I've been full of praise when the selections, performances, and players have been spot on. Hence the thread.
  16. Anyone confident we can gain our first SPL victory against 'Tic on Sunday then?? I reckon we will :021: I'd be more confident if Dargo was fit mind :007: If we play like we did in the first half against Hibs, and they're off their game a bit.... On the subject of firsts, who else have we never beaten in the SPL? Aberdeen obviously....home and away St Mirren....away Can't remember us ever beating Hearts at home either....my memory or true??
  17. [quote author=ICT_Away link=topic=2869.msg41541#msg41541 date=11696290 Do you really think he was thinking about Europe when he signed for Dundee United, FFS it's Dundee United, they have no chance of getting to Europe not even for their holidays.
  18. Totally agree Rig. These pre-contracts are a bit weird. I'm not for one second saying someone like Dods will be anything but 100% professional until the end of the season, but.... We're playing Utd in the Cup in two weeks. Who's to say Dods thinking doesn't go along the lines of 'Hmmmmmmm, if we put Utd out, bang goes any chance I've got of European football next season. But, if they were to go through..... :023: :023: :023:' This goes for all pre-contract signings, not specifically Dods. In some cases, no matter the supposed professionalism line, there must be a conflict of interests.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t..._ct/6288771.stm Looks like Dicky's going to sign his new contract :022: :022: :022: He's been superb this season, our most consistent player in my opinion.
  20. The first half was the best football I've seen from us this season, though helped by a team who obviously believed in playing from the back. The trouble for Hibs is.....they don't have defenders capable of playing that way! . Absolutely superb. Second half we inevitably stepped off the pace a bit but we could've still added to our tally. To be honest, I wanted us to go and and complete stuff them, but that's just me being greedy....3-0 will do :001: To be honest any one of our team could've got MOTM. Fraser comfortably did everything he was asked to, the whole defence were brilliant. Rankin had his best game yet IMO, he was tackling like a demon, and getting forward at every opportunity. Duncan was constantly breaking up the Hibees play, and up front Dargs and Wyness combined superbly, and constantly harried their defence. The only downside was Craigs injury, hope it's a quick recovery for the wee man. A mention on Blackie. He was brilliant when he came on, looked like he had something to prove. There were one or two occasions where incidents that he'd have previously reacted too got a 'walk away' reaction :025: :025: Lets hope he really has learnt his lesson, because when he puts his mind on the football rather than the antics then he's a class player. Oh....and is Scott Brown the most overated footballer in Scotland? I've never been impressed with him against us, and today he was utter pish. How the **** can they be talking millions for him???

He's taken some (deserved) stick this season, from me for one. Today though he was immense. Back to those barnstorming runs, those no nonsense tackles, and those wee dribbles that leave you wondering 'how the feck did he just get past 3 of them!!'. At one point in the second half I thought he was going to decapitate one Hibs player on the touchline, as he went for him like a man possessed. Great stuff Ross, more of the same next week please :022:
  22. Craig, if you're reading.............PLEASE STAY!!!!!!!! Go oooooooooooon, I'll chuck in an extra fiver a week on top of anything Charlie offers you :021: He was superb today, again. I love watching him play, his control, his lay offs, his runs, everything, are just fantastic to watch......mind, I can't imagine he'll ever get an easier goal to score than todays :015: Does anyone know if the NOTW article is online??
  23. Hibs may well have a knack for bringing through talented youngsters, but presumably they don't bother where keepers are concerned :015: Did their keeper kick it from his hands once today?? It seemed every time he passed it out he put their defence under pressure. Bizzarre :017: And he was tiny. And fat. I'm torn as to who's the worst keeper I've seen this season....

Michael was waiting to see what happened with Brown's contract before deciding his future. If Mark had re-signed then Michael would have been away at the end of the season definitely. As it is now though.....
  25. davieB replied to maimie's topic in Caley Thistle
Anyone know anything about the contract he's signed? Length, sell-on clauses????
