  1. If he's not given a chance against anyone else, then it's impossible to tell how good he could be.
  2. I'm struggling to see when it'll happen. I don't get it. He had the best pre-season of any of the strikers, scores in the reserves, but other than fleeting 10 minute appearances, he's not been given a chance. How about seeing what he can do on the wing as he's played there before hasn't he?
  3. ...was totally embarrassing, and made me cringe in my seat. Whoever started that should be ashamed of themselves :33: :33: :33:
  4. We played them off the park! Seriously, we deserved at least a point out of that. Cowie was my MOM again! Sorry Yngwie, but I thought Barry was mince. Not one decent cross, his corners were all overhit, and his passing was *****. Time for a rest for Bazza I think. That was the first 'poor' game I've seen Marius have, his head seemed to drop after the penalty miss. Blackie had a poor first half, but was great in the second. Russell....same old, same old. The defence looked better, and McGuire slotted in easily when he replaced Caff. Well, I'm certainly not that worried. Ignoring Celtic next, the six games after that should really see our season get going. If we carry on with this level of performance it'll not be long before we get going.
  5. Get Darren 'Twinkletoes' Thompson back!!
  6. Awwwwwwwww no :017: He's really pish. We're scraping the barrel here! Quite possibly the worst GK I've seen since we came into the SPL. Will we still be able to take the **** out of him even though he's now ours??

    Signings

Langfield is gash. I'd rather have Ridgers. The Scotsman had a club by club guide to possible ins/outs today, and one 'out' for us was Blackie to Hibs.....he was also included on Hibs 'ins'. Hope that doesn't come to anything :007:
  8. Despite the opposition, we played some great stuff. Some of the passing, and one touch movements were great to watch. Marius just gets better. His goals were brilliantly taken. I was sat right behind his free kick, and the spin he put on the ball was something else. His touch is fantastic, and his lay offs, mostly one touch, always seem to find their intended man. Blackie was my MOM though. Superb performance from the wee man, and I hope it's not tempting fate, but he took 3 or 4 heavy challenges tonight, and just got up and got on with it. Watt's passing from the back was good, though I couldn't work out if it was him or Roscoe that fecked up for the goal? The only disappointment for me was McDonald not getting a run-out. I couldn't see the logic of putting Rory on. Brew knows what Rory's about, so why bring him on? I'd have liked to see Deano get 30 minutes or so, especially alongside Marius. Cowie had another good game, and I can see him turning out to be an excellent signing. Overall, an enjoyable match, which we totally dominated, and could've won by more. Oh aye, and what the feck was Barry playing at with that crap dive. He had the bloke beaten!! Fully deserved a yellow for it I thought.
  9. I'm assuming Brewster will resume the player manager role again. So we'll have Brewster, Wyness, Niculae, Bayne, McDonald, McAlllister, Wood all fighting for two places up front. Aye, I know two are youngsters, but it seems a bit excessive. We know we've got a 1001 midfielders, and it's been said that one/two will have to move on before any new defenders are brought in. Looks like a similar situation developing up front.
  10. Aye :022: Wasn't this Brews first game in charge last time?

    Duncan

    If Russell could pass he'd be one **** of a player. Unfortunately....he can't :007:
  12. First half was the best I've seen from us this season. We were superb at times, and bar a superb save from a Niculae header, and Caff missing a sitter(after brilliant play from Niculae) we should've been 2-0 at half time. Second half was a shambles. We just went to pieces and completely lost our shape. I couldn't believe Blackie was hooked, while Rankin stayed on. Rankin was dire today. So was Fraser. So was Munro. It's hard to see where the points are going to come from just now, but we really must get something at ER next week. Has any player ever scored for two different teams at the same ground in consecutive league matches??
  13. I've been reasonably impressed with Michael up till now, but he had a shocker today. Coming off his line seems to be a failure of his, and that cost us goals today.
  14. MoM for me too. His wee touches and flicks are superb, and I disagree about his lack of graft....he's not scared to chase back one bit. I keep saying it though, him and Bayne are too similar. I'd like to see Niculae and McDonald start. He's ***** at free kicks though!
  15. Eh? We never had Management Selection on the curriculum when I went to school. How d'you 'qualify' for this then? Some people just don't get it do they eh? :017:
  16. As opposed as I am to his appointment, I think some of the most dire football I've ever seen us play came under Charlie. Some of it was gash. Brews style doesn't work at home, but far from me to come to any defence of his, the counter attacking style we played away from home under him was brilliant to watch IMO. The trouble is, that style was based primarily on the pace of Dargo inparticular, and obviously that's not a luxury we've got anymore. His tactical flaws, lack of subs, rigid tactics, in the air football, really did test the patience at times though. It's not Brew himself who my annoyance is directed at, it's the BOD, who've treated the fans like **** during the last few days. Be it on their heads if this doesn't work out, as the people who'll turn around and say 'told you so' are the fans themselves.
  17. And we have a clear winner already in the 'Most Patronising Post of the Year' award. Well done DonsFan :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
  18. The team will have my full support too, as ever. That isn't the issue for me though. It's the way the board has seemingly strung us along with their 'listen to the fans' bullshit, and ignored the wishes of those who pay their money week after week to follow OUR team. I've nothing against Brewster at all,, and certainly don't hold anything against him for events in the past. I just don't think he's a very good manager that's all! And I think the board have missed the opportunity to bring in someone who could give us a fresh start, and with no previous connections to the club, something I think is needed at this time. This stinks of an old pals act. The safest, least ambitious option.
  19. Warnock says he's not heard anything from us. The board, up until now, haven't spoken to him. Other than relocation (which doesn't seem an issue for Warnock), and wages(Warnock says the challenge, not the money, is his motivation) I can't think what else could be stumbling blocks in this 'host' of issues. Seems to me there was only ever one candidate, and the board are getting their 'excuses' in ready. At least they could have a feckin chat to the bloke!
  20. I've just read the interview and it comes across as basically Warnock saying he'd relish the job. Now, considering the board has this supposed to have this 3 man shortlist, I'd have presumed they'd have at least talked to all those on the list. Warnock says nobody from ICT has spoken to him. And it seems obvious that the Trust meeting the other night was nothing more than a PR exercise, as it's quite clear the board had no intention of acting on anything the fans said. Warnock is the clear fans favourite, Brewster the least favoured. The whole thing has left a sour taste for me.
  21. Coyle would be my second choice after Warnock. I'm not so sure last season was a 'blip' in his record Scotty. Don't forget, Gretna didn't start to implode until the last third of the season, and Coyle DID manage to claw their lead back. And if it wasn't for a Grady last second goal, we'd be talking about Coyle being an SPL manager right now. He'd definitely continue our tradition of appointing ambitious younger managers. Difference being, Coyle is not an unknown quantity, he's already proved himself a capable manager.
  22. This is a real opportunity for the club to continue the tradition of showing ambition. Whether or not they appoint my choice, Warnock, someone with fresh ideas is what's needed. Apponting Brewster is a backward step, the 'cheap' option it seems. And it also smells of the Old Boys Network kicking in. Remember how Brewster seemed to be adverse to flair? Juanjo certainly remembers I'm sure. Looks like we can look forward(or backwards) to a team of grafters, playing hoofball every game. Not exactly a prospect that fills me with excitement.
  23. The Highland News has Grassa saying DP will be staying, no matter who comes in.
