What Kind Of Fan Are You?
3...praise when good, criticise when justified.

Lack of appreciation
And equally there's some posters on here who can't take ANY criticism of CC, or the team whatsoever. And when someone does either they get accused of the usual 'talking pish' 'not proper supporters' *****. So my major gripe is against those do nothing but come on here complaining about people complaining. If CC wants to openly criticise the fans...fine. But don't get all surprised if those fans bite back. We pay his, and the players wages, and consequently have every right to say what we want. If the team play well, they, and CC get all the plaudits, and rightly so. I never see CC coming out and praising the fans in those circumstances. When we play crap, like Saturday, then what do we do? Gloss over it? Be content we won, even though we were dire? Nope, if we play crap then there's feck all wrong with saying so. And incidentally, I back the team 100%, and I back CC 100%, and I spend a bloody fortune in that backing.....so I'm certainly not going to shy away from saying he's made some major feck ups, or that the team is capable of playing like my local pub side at times.

I'm sure I remember reading someone write that Barry should be left out because he looked so tired after last week? :024: Good job CC doesn't take advice off anyone who obviously hasn't got a clue! I reckon anyone who has the slightest difference of opinion with CC, or who has the feckin cheek to complain about spending their well earned cash to watch ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ football should be banned from posting. Then we can all have one big love-in and rename the site the CC appreciation club maybe??

Lack of appreciation
Midway through the second half there was definitely some ironic cheering from the NS when we managed to string three passes together :023: I didn't hear any booing though. Oh aye, there was a lot of cheering when Rory got hooked too :023: :023: :023:

ICT V DUFC - matchday thread
That was absolutely dire :007: Other than Barry's goal there was nothing to get out of your seat for. Blackie started off looking like he was determined to prove those of us thinking he'd 'learnt his lesson' wrong. He could've easily been booked for 3 or 4 different bad challenges in the first 20 minutes. I thought he was lucky not to get a red for his tackle on Wilkie, it was an awful challenge. But then for the last 20 minutes of the game he showed what a class player he can be, I thought he was excellent in that period. If he'd cut all the nonsense out he'd been a brilliant wee player. Fraser was excellent as well, Barry was ok, Dods good, Hastings and Tokely ok. Other than that, the rest were crap. Munro didn't deserve a red, no way. It was a cracking assault on Robson :015: Seeing as it was on the half way line there's no way Munro was the last player, and the tackle itself wasn't a straight red. Considering Kalvanes(??) had already been booked, and then blatantly pulled Wilson back, the ref was a bitinconsistent to say the least. And for anyone who STILL says give Rory time........he is one of the worst players I've ever seen in an ICT shirt. Absolutely crap, and what anyone sees in him is beyond me. He'd be lucky to get a game for Clach if he wasn't with us.

Team Vs DUFC
What, no Rory?? :024: Agree nearly, but I'd swap Barry and Marcus around.

No more OF at home for me
It's only because I've got a season ticket that I go to OF home games, if I didn't I'd give them a miss too. They're the games I least look forward to, for the same reasons you mention Gringo and I also get pissed off at the few thousand extra Caley 'fans' who only ever turn up for those games. Every time we play the OF I always see plenty of people I know, supporting ICT, who never attend any other games through the season. Ach well, back to normal next Saturday.

Graham Bayne
We've missed Dargo from the moment he went off injured. I'm not Baynes biggest fan, but fair play to him, he's been a much improved this season. No one can doubt he'll give 100% every game, just a shame he doesn't get a few more goals.

Rankin's half -way 'effort'
What the **** was that all about at the end?? It looked like everyone was lined up on the half way line ready for a last all out charge up the field. Presumably restart, back to Fraser, everyone races up there, huge hoof up the field, hope for anything. What does Rankin do?? Tries to beat Boruc from the half way line....bizzarre :017: :017: :017:

Last Minute Goals
Why are we conceding so many this season? By my reckoning that's 5 games now we've lost or drawn due to a last gasp goal against us(Motherwell, Aberdeen x2, Celticx2). That's 6 league points, and a cup semi lost. Our defence is normally so reliable, so why do we seemingly switch off right at the death? Is it as simple as us not being as fit a team as we were under Brewster? Surely that can be easily rectified. What worries me is that it keeps happening. After the second or third time you'd think the team would be fully aware of playing to the final whistle. Seemingly not. Not sure what the answer is, but it's fecking depressing :007: :007: :007:

ICT V Celtic Post Match Thread
Black was outstanding today, and his substitution was the turning point. Absolutely brilliant from the wee man, and easily the MOTM for me. I find it hard to believe he asked to come off, as he looked well fecked off when he was hooked. If he didn't ask to come off then it was a massive mistake by CC. And as sickening as the ending was, you'd have thought we might've learn't something from the exact same thing thappening he other week. In fact, how many goals have we lost in the last 5 minutes this season?? There's something seriously wrong there because it's been plenty.
-
Celtic Rollcall
Nope, not paying those kids prices so we're away to the pub to watch it.
-
Since we have so many...
He was hardly outstanding, he was just less gash than usual! If I remember rightly, he spent the first 20 minutes on his arse, a result of being easily brushed off the ball every time it came near him. After that he was ok, hardly anything special.
-
Since we have so many...
If Hart IS fit I'd have him in for McBain.
-
Since we have so many...
Feck me, I'm going to have to agree with you here HC :001: Good team aye, I'm just worried CC might want to give Rory one more chance!!

Three league defeats in a row - time for change?
Absolutely. I know Dargo can't be forced to stay, but I'd hope that every single avenue is being used in persuading him to stay. Even if that means breaking our 'famous' wage structure, we can't afford NOT to have a player like Dargo. For those who say give Rory more time.......he's had plenty. And some people keep pointing out that Dargo took ages to get going....implying Rory will do the same. From memory, Dargo's problems at the start were simply being unable to buy a goal. He was actually playing extremely well, just not scoring. Rory's different in that he can't score and his general play is ermmm...crap. Other than that, like others, I agree the midfield needs re-jigging. Blackie, on his day, is head and shoulders above any of our other midfielders in the skill stakes. So why the feck is he still sat on the bench!!! Marcus certainly sounded like he added something yesterday, so how about giving him a start(not next week obviously). We're obviously playing poorly at the moment. I hope CC can see what the vast majority of fans can see and makes the necessary changes.

Three league defeats in a row - time for change?
Totally agree. I'd rather see ANYONE up front rather than Rory. Sorry, but the guy is *****. How many goes does he get before that fact is realised. And feck all this he's only 19. So what!! there's plenty of decent 19 YO's about, and it's bot like he's not had the experience. I used to think Bayne was pish, but compared to Rory he looks like Ronaldo!
-
Motherwell V ICT - matchday thread
Sounds like we're playing crap :006: How many games will Rory get before CC realises he's *****??? (hopefully he'll go score now!) And in a game where we can't seem to string two passes together why is Blackie sat on the bench?

£17 for a Kid!
Is it? Why? Why should this game generate any more money than the league game against them the other week? We got the additional TV money for that, plus we got to keep ALL the gate receipts, unlike this game where half those receipts will go to the opposition. If anything, I'd say the league game against them generates far more money for the club. Yet the club didn't take the stupid decision to remove the family section for that game.

£17 for a Kid!
Season ticket sales work both ways. Yes, they do make the games less expensive, and the deals are very good. But, many people(like myself) simply wouldn't be able to attend every game as a PATG supporter, because they couldn't afford it. And don't forget, the more games a family attends, the more they'll spend on merchandise, food, drinks etc, so some of that ticket price saving is recouped with every game the season ticket holders attend. And the club needs it's pre-season ticket sales to help it in it's financial planning for the coming season, that's why they desperately try to encourage people to buy their tickets as early as possible. Again, the club needs us when it's convenient. As said elsewhere, a football club, particularly ones like ours, should be at the heart of local communities, and not run in purely business terms. They need us as much as we need them. I get tired of hearing someone from the club bemoaning the fact that people aren't coming through the turnstyles. It doesn't take a business guru to figure out why that is. And it only takes a basic grasp of economics to see that a stadium filled with a crowd of low priced ticket supporters is more financially beneficial than a stadium half full with maximum priced ticket paying supporters. I find it hard to believe that a club of Celtics size would have been that stubborn in it's resistance to a Caley request for reduced ticket prices for a small section of it's supporters. Nope, to me this is Caley saying 'well, feck the kids who come along every week, we'll keep them out of this one 'cos we can make looooooooooooads of money'
-
£17 for a Kid!
Why is it any bigger than when we sold out against them in the league? The importance of the game is, but the crowd numbers will still be the same. And any sell out at normal prices would provide the club with a decent return. Combined with the TV revenue..... This is our club fleecing it's fans for as much money as they can, safe in the knowledge that the game will sell out anyway. And if people like me can't afford it....tough, there'll be another two Celtic fans along in a minute, who're used to paying these prices anyway. Why have they taken away the family section for this game? Ok, there wasn't one for the Utd but at least they had the nerve to charge a lot less for kids then(£10). Kids make up a large portion of our crowds, they're our future supporters. Prices like these do nothing to encourage them along.
-
£17 for a Kid!
If it was the price to pay for our new status then why aren't the prices the same as they were for the Urd game? The only reason the prices are so high is because of the opposition this time. If the board don't give a feck who's sitting in my seats, then why should I? As I said, the board know this game would sell out even if they gave the whole ticket allocation to Celtic, so why should they bother worrying about local interest. Sorry, but if this club wants to encourage fans, and promote itself as a family club to the local community, then charging a family £78(the cheapest 2 adult, 2 children prices) isn't the way to do it. The club has absolutely no right to complain about the failure of local people coming along and supporting their team when they do nothing to encourage them along. And no, I won't go spend £40 in the pub, I was just making a point.
