  1. In which case, it shows their interests are themselves, not the clubs. I'll try a ***** analogy, but it's the best I can do. A hypothetical situation.... A mate of mine works in a local bakery. It's small scale, employs six people, but has grown from a cottage industry from 5 years ago, to a well respected, medium size concern thesedays. The owner realises though that, as it stands, he can't really progress any further. So he has an idea... One day he goes into see the staff, calls them together, and says..." I've been giving this a lot of thought folks. We've got where we are today because of all your hard work, and I appreciate that so much. I feel though we've reached our limit, and without something extra I'm not sure we can progress any further/ I'd like to progress, and I want you all to be part of that". " It's cost me a load of money, but I've secured the services of ace cake maker, Jane Asher. She's not cheap, but I feel it's worth the investment. She'll bring fresh ideas, a wealth of experience at the top level, new recipes, and will increase our profile hugely. I think that she'll give us the edge over our competitors. I also hope we'll all learn from her, and as a result become even better bakers than we are now. We'll all benefit by that....more business means better pay for everyone in the long run, better bonuses. Her value to us, while costly initially, will pay in the long run" "You with me or not?" "Yeaaaaaaaah" reply the bakers, knowing that they'll all benefit from her employment. Why should a football club be any different? Told you it was pish :001:
  2. The other thing with Warnock is that he could give Blackie a run for his money in the 'Most Yellow Cards in a Season' competition.
  3. I wouldn't mind either to be honest. If Warnock is genuinely interested though, which it seems he is, and terms can be agreed, then he's the obvious choice. Bags of experience, his contacts in the game must be huge, and having all ready played up here then he'll know what the basic set up is. Infact, the more I think about it, the more I'd love to see Warnock here!! How about a Warnock/Brew combination??
  4. Nooooooooooo, it was all Caffs fault. Didn't yer know his defending was 'inexcusable'?
  5. If there are problems in the dressing room over the signing of a quakity international player, then the players want to take a long hard look at themselves. In effect they're saying.....we don't want anyone here better than us. That's an appalling attitude. The only way our club is ever going to progress is by continually signing players as good, or better, than what we have. This attitude in the dressing room is effectivly saying we don't want any big names at our club.......which is bollox.
  6. Why do people rate Kenny? He took over the Pars just a few months into the season, didn't win a game for ages, had a late run of form....and everyone raved about him. Fact is, he took Dunfermline down, and he;s now struggling at the foot of the first. Not sure who I want as manager mind.... :024:
  7. Seeing as everything's being blamed on us losing him it seems. Feck me, he was good, but he's certainly no John Terry! What does it say about the rest of the players if we can't cope with losing a defender? What we do miss is his organisation skills, because in all the games this season we seem to have little shape on the pitch, and look totally disorganised. Communication seems non-existant too. Surely we should be able to cope without him shouldn't we??
  8. When Niculae chased back over 60 yards late in the second half he looked anything but unfit to me. He did far more running than his strike partner that's for sure! I remember posting when Bingham was here that the rest of the team couldn't read all his wee flicks, or his passes, and he frequently looked frustrated because of that. Watching Niculae today, and last week, the similarities are there. From what I've seen so far he rarely wastes the ball, holds it up well, and is good in the air. Him and Bayne shouldn't play together, as all that happens is we hump the ball up to them. He made that goal today by pressurising their defence, and his ball in for Cowie was top drawer. It's the rest of the team that concern me more.
  9. Caff was easily our best defender today. Time after time he was the one making last ditch tackles. For all those saying he's the weak link, then all I can say, having seen all three games this season, is that Munro/Hastings/Roscoe have for the most part been pish themselves. Tokely was awful AGAIN today. We just seem completely disorganised all over the park. It;s leadership we're missing. From what I've seen so far, Munro isn't a captain. And it seems to be affecting his game badly. I was impressed with Cowie again today. And I thought Blackie was our MOM....so why was he replaced? Duncan was average, Rankin was *****. I said after last week that Niculae needs someone with pace playing off him. That isn't Bayne!! Bayne is an average forward, that's all. Why did we sign McDonald if he's going to sit on the bench each week? He was the one in form pre-season, yet he's not started a game yet. Niculae can win the ball in the air, hold it up, and add a touch of class with it.....we don't need him and Bayne up front. All we did today was continually hump the ball high to them, on the rare occasion we put it out to the flanks we actually looked decent. Niculae looks class, his run, and cross for Cowies goal was superb. Disappointing to lose to a poor St. Mirren team. If CC doesn't get us organised sharply, it could be a loooooooong season. Oh aye, what the feck was all that traffic in Glasgow about?????????

    Hart to leave?

I coach the local P6/7 age group round here, and while they all dream of being the next Rooney, Ronaldhino, Beckham etc, I've yet to hear any of them saying they're going to be the next Ritchie Hart!!

    Hart to leave?

It'll be a real waste if this is true. Hart was excellent when he got his chance at the end of last season, and was the one bright spark in the Rangers game this year. He's unlucky not to be starting each week. I couldn't give a ***** what he does in his personal life, I'm only concerned with how he performs on the pitch.
  12. Definite pen. Grant should never have gone to ground.
  13. Full squad next :crazy07:
  14. Disagreeing with something he said isn't 'having a go' :017: :017: About 6? Though you've probably counted them up I'm sure :023:
  15. He looked good IMO. Considering that's his first competitive game in ages, in a totally new enviroment, then I'm looking forward to seeing him even more once he adapts. He won most of the headers he went for, held the ball up well, and put himself about. He needs someone nippy playing off him....not Wyness, not Bayne, but McDonald. Those two could really click, and I hope CC gives them a shot next weekend.
  16. Very harsh on Caff. If anything, I thought he was fine, and made more than a few covering tackles for other defenders who'd gone missing. It's obvious we're missing Dods organising skills, but to lay all the blame on Caff is ridiculous. Totally disagree about Roscoe. He was the same last week, playing everywhere but where he should be.....the right side of defence!! Hastings seems out of sorts completely, and Duncan was giving him an absolute mouthfull when they equalised. Munro seems to be handling the captaincy less well than expected, and he was stupid to slide in for that tackle which gave them the penalty. The WHOLE defence needs organising, that's Munro's job. It's not happening just yet, hopefully it'll click. They're all good defenders, so there shouldn't be this problem. But to lay the blame on the 'new guy', when the other three aren't doing their jobs correctly is unfair.
  17. Much better than last week, though it was sickening to lose it the way we did. The Pen....if it'd been ours, I'd have been raging if it wasn't given. As soon as Munro went to ground the decision was inevitable. Fair pen in my opinion. Have to agree with the comments on Tokely. Time and again they exploited the holes he was leaving in defence. At one point he was over on the left for a few minutes, nefore ambling back into position. Duncan was furious with Hastings for their equaliser....couldn't really see what happened, but presumably it was for allowing them time to get the cross in. Marius looked good, he won nearly every flick on, and had some good touches. My MOM would be Duncan.....if it weren't for Cowie, I thought he was excellent, and his delivery into the box is superb. I'm not sure about up front....Dennis did ok, but I'd like to see McDonald and Marius start. McDonald would be ideal for Niculaes wee flick ons. Something seemed to be going on out there today with Munro. Why did he sling the armband? There certainly seemed to be words exchanged between players at several points in the game. Much better this week, but we really need something from next weeks game now.
  18. No bandwagon here, I've not rated him since he broke through to the first team. I mind being pissed off when Brewster selected him ahead of Wyness for a game away to Aberdeen a couple of christmas's ago(Dargo had concussion I think)....and he was pish that day too. Nothing's changed in three seasons IMO And just because most fans can see what's blatently obvious....that the lad's not good enough, doesn't mean anyone's on any bandwagon. My comment had more to do with CC's comments. One day he says there'll be wholesale changes, the next he talks about giving the players a second chance. If that includes giving Rory his umpteenth chance, then I'll seriously question his managerial credentials......something I've not done once yet. If Rory wants to make it in this game, then he'd best develop a thick skin, because I'm sure he'll get a lot worse in his career than anything that's been written on here. If he can't take it, he's in the wrong game.....he's being paid better than most people, to do a job most blokes can only dream about. The people who pay his wages, the fans, have every right to criticise him or any other player, they perceive as not doing well enough. I'd expect exactly the same if I wasn't doing my job very well too. Oh....I'm pretty thick skinned myself, so hurling out the insults doesn't offend me in the slightest. Just because someone doesn't agree with your point of view though, doesn't mean they're wrong and you're right....or vica-versa, we're all managers in our heads, and each of us has our opinions. Thankfully they're all different, that's what makes the game so compulsive, and that's why forums like this provide us with the opportunity to air ALL our views. Cheers.
  19. Ermm....yeah, I forgot that any criticism makes one a ****** in your eyes Harry. ****.
  20. If he picks Rory again tomorrow, I'm walking out the ground!! :008:
  21. I heard that too. I didn't think he'd been charged with anything, but surely if he's up in court then that means he has? :024:
  22. Not sure I'd bother with Fraser. I'd go with... Niculae. Then when he's knackered after 70mins, throw on McDonald.
  23. I thought Dargo was extremely complimentary about the club when he left. Much more so than some that have left....I'm thinking Goalies here :023:
