  1. Have to say, I thought CC got it wrong last night when he hooked Dargo. Up until that point Dargo had been playing superb, and was linking up brilliantly with Bayne. I thought Barry should have gone off because he looked dead on his feet after putting in a fantastic shift. You could see how fecked off Dargs was when he saw the board and I don't blame him. It seems that it's almost inevitable, in most matches now, that as soon as that board goes up for the first time it'll be No17 on it. If there's one player who'll keep running all game long it's Dargo. If there's one player I'd put my money on to get us a 90th minute goal it'd be Dargo. If there's one player who can do that wee something different it'd be Dargo. Just guessing, but I'd imagine Dargs is getting hugely frustrated at being the almost inevitable first change week after week.
  2. I agree. Caff is as good a player as Dods, and he can pass!!!
  3. Two points thrown away I'm afraid. We were so much the better team, but for some bloody reason sat back once we'd made the breakthrough :008: Aberdeen were absolute gash, and it wasn't until the last few minutes that they actually did anything. That's the most gutted I've felt coming out of a game. Wilson, Hastings, Dargo, Bayne, McBain, Rankin were all immense. Sorry TM4TJ, got to disagree about Tokely and Dods. I thought both were absolutely fecking useless. Dods passing gets more embarrassing by the week, and as for Tokely......how much room did he allow Smith, their only decent player, to have? Tokely has been ***** for months, it's about time CC gave him the kick up the arse he needs and brought Caff in. While CC took all the plaudits for his subs against Falkirk I thought he got it wrong tonight. Dargo shouldn't have been subbed, he was playing superbly and was causing their defence all sorts of problems. If anyone should've been hooked(other than Tokely) it should've been Barry. He was absolutely knackered at the end, and the fresh legs of Sutherland may have kept the impetus with us. Great performance though, certainly our best at home this season. Just a shame about the result.
  4. Brown Caff Dods Munro Hastings Wilson Hart Rankin McBain Wyness Dargo Drop Duncan, he was pish on Saturday. Tokely hasn't been at his best for a while, and he was awful as well on Sat. Bayne?? He's done well, but I think with Wyness/Dargo up front we play better, more varied football.
  5. http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?...;mid=2135275932 Ok, how about a sweep? How many games will he last, and who'll be their new 'new' manager? I'll go for 15......and Basil Fawlty.
  6. Various sources I've read say Pele is the new manager, with Neil Cooper(Aberdeen youth coach) as his assistant.

    Dods

Todays P+J quotes Dods as saying he definitely wants away at the end of the season. 'It's the travelling. I want something closer to home'. Looks like the Utd option has gone, along with Brew :015:......unless he ends up at the Pars obviously :024:
  8. Tough ****, the players and fans are getting exactly what they deserve. Everyone else could see this coming all along, so I've no sympathy for them.
  9. Stick with the tried and tested. Sit back and hit them on the break. It's worked fine upto now so there's no need to mess around with it.
  10. Spot on. Some weeks he's the only thing that raises a laugh at the game!
  11. Looks like the Caley 'Curse' maybe about to strike again with Brewster supposedly having one more game to prove himself ('mon the Bairns!!! :001:). So that'll be our last 3 managers who've gone on to 'bigger and better' things, and promptly fallen flat on their arses. Pele failed at Aberdeen after doing so well here, Robbo failed at Hearts after doing so well here, Brewster is making an even bigger mess at Utd, after he did ermmmmm....ok here. Charlie seems to have fitted into the managerial role well enough, despite many unconvinced voices when he was appointed, and with us sitting in 5th everything's looking rosy for him. What is it about ICT that makes managing us appear relatively cushy, in comparison to these 'bigger and better' clubs who seem ready to fire at will?
  12. Most of Brewster's 'team' was moulded by Steve Paterson, then added to by John Robertson. Brew signed Dargo, a fantastic signing I agree, and he certainly improved things on the fitness front. Other than that he took over a well drilled, experienced team, which needed very little tinkering. So I don't agree that Brew did that much for us. His style of play was turgid, and his tactical awareness was non-existant. He made his choice to leave, with which I had no problem, even if I was raging at the time. I have absolutely no sympathy with his plight right now, infact I'm enjoying it! Maybe if he hadn't done his best to unsettle our team during the summer with his almost daily bids for our players, or made patronising remarks towards us, then I might have a wee bit more sympathy for him. As it is......I hope he gets sacked, and Utd get relegated :015:

    PITCH INVASION

This is outrageous :008: Fecks sake, we need more young supporters like this one. Ones who feel passionately about our club, ones who can't contain their joy when our team stage an incredible fightback, and ones who actually bother going along to support their local team. All he did was hop over the wall momentarily and celebrate. Who do I email to complain about this?
  14. It seems that when Charlie changed the formation to a 3-4-3 yesterday he transformed the whole game. Until that point we'd been pretty dire, much like most of our home performances this year. We were a completely different team after the switch, we just attacked Falkirk and they couldn't cope with it. Should Charlie think about making this a more permanant formation in our home games? Or should it be a more 'horses for courses' approach? Or will he stick to the rigid 4-4-2, which in my opinion just isn't working at home? Personally I'd like to see us play 3-4-3 more often, with Dennis playing just behind Bayne/Dargo. It makes for exciting football at the very least :001:
  15. There seems to be quite a few 'rumours' over on UtdMad all saying he'll resign on Monday. I hope so too. Bigger club eh Craig?????????? :015: :015: :015:

    PITCH INVASION

It just goes to show, when the team start performing then the fans get right behind them. That last 20 minutes was the best home atmosphere for ages. As for the fans on the pitch....good on them! They weren't threatening in any way, just there celebrating a fantastic comeback.
  17. That was the best I've seen Dennis play for a long long time.
  18. Even before the first goal he'd flapped and punched easily catchable crosses. I said to my boy we just need to get shots in at him because he was so pish, and right enough..... :001: Yep, we were ***** for 70 minutes, but full credit to CC for changing it. What a fantastic last 20mins.
  19. Easily the worst I've seen at this level, he was gash :015: :015: :015:

    John Rankin

He was absolutely pish today.....until that first free kick :015:
  21. Yep, excellent coverage. I also liked the fact they gave every player a 5 star rating in their player of the week bit :clapping04:
  22. Club for me everytime(though being Welsh I don't get much to cheer watching them :007:) I just can't get worked up about internationals in the same way I can with ICT. I'm with you RIG, I went absolutely mental at home when Bayne scored Saturday, and again at the final whistle.
  23. Will yesterdays historic victory have any impact on next weeks attendance? Surely the people of Inverness have no reason to be apathetic towards their home town team anymore. They've a team on their own doorstep who are more than capable of competing with the best in this country, a team who don't get the recognition, or support, they deserve. I'd certainly like to think yesterdays victory will add a few more to next weeks gate.....let's hope that's the case.
  24. Blackie was signed by Robbo wasn't he?
