  1. You weren't talking to yourself were you? :tonguecheek:
  2. I dont think it would be possible to open the terrace as it is only half the length of the pitch towards the away end and if there is a decent away support would they not use the catering at that side. I think I saw it open against Ross County, also are there not advertising boards on the terracing now? And there couldn't possibly be 10,000 the capacity, including a full away end and west stand is 7,750 ish. That small part of terracing wouldn't add over 2k. P.s If the league is won before the last game of the season then I don't think we would even need the West Stand to be open, as I dont think we will sell out the north and main stands.
  3. Win on sat and dundee don't then it's league won! County draw and Dundee lose and its mathematically
  4. It is advertised but I dont believe it is as well advertised as it could be. Again, we are happy to display any information the supporters club send us about this service or any other events (which Kath normally posts herself in the forum). Where is it advertised? If it's in the match programme not everyone buys them. Would be a good idea to have a sticky post about the bus and details, contacts before away games. I don't travel on the bus much, think I have only ever been on it 2-3 times in my life but it would surely help with attracting numbers. The morton game is a good example as there wasn't enough demand to run a bus but there was plenty of demand when a bus was suggested here.
  5. I was talking more about the walk up prices which include prices for away fans. Most children's season tickets are cheap in our league, or actually free with some teams! We charge ?13/?11 for a child where for other teams they get in for ?3 or even free. I don't think that does much to encourage new fans or fans who don't go to every game to come along now and then. By giving all these free tickets out County will probably secure some new supporters who will want to go to games next season and County might become their main team instead of one of the OF.
  6. Easily done with some large sheets and paint no? Or any other cheap material that can be bought in town and slogans painted on? In that case we could have a few around the north stand. I would still like one saying '12 points and you fu**ed it up!!' as we have had enough of the 2 nil and you fu**ed it up chants directed at us. Also how many points exactly were we behind them? 12, 13, 15?
  7. Maybe if the bus was a bit more publicised they would get more numbers. I know for the morton game the supporters bus couldn't get enough numbers but CaleyD could have filled 3 mini buses? Enough to run a coach. It was quite hard to find information about the bus, booking, times etc. Even a post on here every week about details would have surley lead to enough numbers for Morton. I was actually on holiday when we played Raith away on a tues in October and tried to find out about the bus, when it left, how to book and I phoned the club who had no idea about supporters busses. It isn't very well publicised for a supporters bus
  8. I see that County are planning on offering every primary school child in Ross-shire free ticket and travel to the game, thats pretty good of them. I couldn't see us doing anything like that since we charge children almost 4 times the price to get into games than some other teams in our league.
  9. Who mentioned anything about anybody being banned from the bus? The supporters bus gets a lot of unjustified stick on this site. A 45 minute stop in Perth is adequete enough time for a few pints and it always gets to the ground in plenty of time. As for the lack of 'craic', a lot of older supporters use the bus as a means of getting to the games so the 'craic' isn't probably what you're going to be hoping for. Other comments on this thread highlight exactly why some folk wouldn't be welcome on it. There is a fine line between being banned and being not welcome. I never knew you owned the busses though and got to decide who are and aren't welcome to ride on a bus simply by comments on an internet forum. And it is not simply because of not being able to drink, I do prefer to go by train as I can have a drink but that isn't the main reason I don't like the supporters bus. It is the going all the way into Perth through traffic to have a 30 min stop then coming all the way back through Perth again, this takes up an hour just for a 30 min stop. I would prefer stopping somewhere more accessible so not to waste 30 mins driving in and out of a town and also this eats into the time you have before the game. I went to the Hamilton game on the bus last year and we got about 10 mins at the pub everyone was meeting at in Hamilton, would much rather have prefered stopping somewhere on way down that didn't waste near 30 mins driving through a town and then got longer in Hamilton.
  10. Bully has come on as a sub in the last 4-5 games so it's pretty likely he will start.
  11. The County chairman was on the STV news earlier saying he hopes to take around 20,000 fans down to the final!! :tonguecheek:
  12. Using your avatar pic as an idea, "Jesus saves, Adam Rooney scores the rebound" Hope you'r not calling Tony Bullock Jesus!! :tonguecheek:
  13. Schoolboy error . Rule #1 : Dont upset the ICT Mafia . Yeah. Ach im not that bothered. If im going to be banned from a bus for saying something like that on a football forum during a debate, then im not going to go on the bus if i was now allowed. Does she know who you are through your username on here? If not just go anyway and pretend DC is someone else!
  14. What category would the Caledonian Stadium come under? Not sure about the vip and lighting regulations. Pitty that standing isn't allowed, it's complete nonsense that you are allowed to have a full stadium at home in the cup against Hibs and it's deemed safe but your not allowed to play them at home in the league as it then becomes unsafe? As standing is ruled out 'if', thats a big if, they somehow fluke the cup :tonguecheek: would their games in Europe then be played in Inverness? If we fall in one of the categories 2-3 which I'm sure we would do.
  15. Affraid not! I'm pretty sure for Uefa games you aren't allowed standing spectators. Do Dortmund and Barca not have standing areas? Barca used to about 13 years ago but it's all seated now. Dortmund have sections which can be converted from seating to standing rows, they are allowed to use these in the league but in Europe they convert them to seating. QOS moved their game from Palmerston to Airdrie's ground for their game in Europe.
  16. a. If we win and Dundee lose this Saturday. Dundee are out. b. If we win on Saturday RC will need to win all 7 outstanding league games to top us. c. Anything can happen and probably will. So ignore a. & b. Also if we win and dundee draw then the best they can do is match us and with our superior goal difference that would be them all but out. There is a good chance we could even win the league when we don't play, when Dundee play their game in hand if County slip up as well. I would rather win it though when we are playing.
  17. I'm doing my Post Grad this year to become a primary teacher, I've been doing learning support work in schools for the last year.
  18. It would be great for Scottish football if this game is a sell out. They were saying in 1997 that the Falkirk v Kilmarnock would be lucky to get 25,000 but it was a 50,000 sell out so I see no reason why this game can't also push close to being a sell or at least be 40,000 + as a lot of nutreals would like to go to a cup final like this. For that reason I booked my bus yesterday to go down for the day to take the game in. Now I just have to get myself a Dundee Utd end ticket :P
  19. He's talking about the Labour candidate who got sacked for posting a load of abuse about everyone on twitter. Think he was calling Nick Clegg a bas**rd and the speaker a tit, a few other people were cu*ts etc etc
  20. Could just get a few king size bed sheets and paint the slogans on
  21. Well we don't want that!
  22. Na the terracing will deff be open. The away section of the stand doesn't hold enough. I remember last time we were in the 1st division we got the terracing both times I was there and with a larger than normal away support the terracing will be needed for this one!
  23. Affraid not! I'm pretty sure for Uefa games you aren't allowed standing spectators.
  24. I thought 12 points was the furthest we were behind with the same games played?
  25. The Inverness support dressing in Red Coats, don't think that would catch on! Would be better just to take lots of flags, there must be somewhere that does red and blue flags on sticks or champions flags.
