Would rather get a banner saying '12 points and you Fu*ked it up!!'
-
:( ...um no it wasn't!!

And next season it's gone. Bet ICT fans won't be talking about an away win in the First Division at Queen of the South in 60 years. They would still talk of a Scottish Cup win though. No, but they will be talking about the amazing unbeaten run, the league win, and becoming the first ever team to bounce straight back up! Pitty we aren't the first team to ever bounce straight back up though!! We are since the new league system came into play in 1998. We will be the first team to win the league after getting relegated, Dunfermline bounced back up in 2000 due to the league expanding but we are no way the first team to ever do this and it isn't that big a deal to be the first team to do it since the new league system as before then it was the exact same league, Scottish football wasn't invented in 1998! All the past league titles when it was know as the Priemeir Division or 1st Division are still counted so Hibs bouncing straight back up in 1998 still counts and I'm sure plenty of other teams have done it before them.

We should get them, especially Hayes, on as long a contract as possible as if he does eventually go we could make a decent bit of money from him.

Sorry but do any of the players actually care about The Sun golden boot?? It's only a newspaper competiton! Surely whats more important is winning the actual golden boot come the end of the season which is the player with the most goals, not just to 25! That's the real award, not something from the sun.

I don't want County to win but I would rather they won the Scottish Cup than England won the World Cup any day!! County winning the Scottish Cup, England winning the World Cup and we throw away the league and Dundee win it....nightmares aren't that bad!!
-
This might be sad but I am seriously considering going to the cup final and going in the Dundee Utd/Raith Rovers end I didn't mind County beating Celtic as long as they never won the cup! I don't really go along with the good for the Highlands thing, it's good, amazing even for County but I can't see any benifit for ICT at all. More sponorship money will be going into County after this probably and they might even have secured a few more supporters as well who might even start going to games more often. The amount of young kids who are now 'Ross County' fans is slightly annoying though, I work in a school in Inverness and there seemed to be a new County convert everyday after they beat Hibs :D

Reverse bigotry? Reverse bigotry against Catholics and Protestants...unless all the other teams are supported by Muslims maybe

Since the thread that disscused it was closed I had to open a new one here. A couple of people mentioned that the radio said County would be in Europe if they play Dundee Utd?? I always thought for the cup runners up to qualify for Europe then the winners needed to have qualified for the Champions league and if the winners had only qualified for the Europa League then the place would go to the next league team. They could always qualify for it on merit by winning the cup but I've never liked runners up qualifying. Has this changed??

I think Bridge Bender that if the main and north stands are sold out then they start selling tickets for the west stand

I had a look at Esson's wiki page and it says that he was an unused sub when Scotland played the USA in November 2005. I remember being at that game as well.

um....nice try is Richie Forlan Diego's brother? I reckon if we were to make a song the words should be about the club and players and not about players pushing wheel barrows shouting about cockles and mussels!! And I'm sure Richie wouldn't be to chuffed if we sang a song where he dies of a fever!!

You are not being confident at all, you are being cautious. Definition for confident. Confident means assured, certain what you are saying is that nothing is assured or certain. It is, by definition, not possible to be "over" confident, over confidence and confidence are the same thing as you cannot be any more certain than certain. You are either certain we will win it (confident) or you are not certain. Quoting dictionary definitions...that's pretty cool I am sure we will win the league but going about saying it's over and we have already won it can only lead to us looking stupid if results don't go our way, just look at what happened to Dundee. We don't want to become complacent, better teams than us have lost bigger leads in the past. We need to take it one game at a time as the league is not over untill its over! Lets start by taking care of our own games one at a time and going into them persuming Dundee are going to win their games, if we can win the next three games then other scores become an irrelevance but untill then we can not go about saying we have it won already.
-
I noticed these prices before. For walk up on the day we charge Under 16's ?13/?11 and QOS charge ?3. A child can pay ?10 more to see a game in Inverness
-
Why do you not like the overconfidence? This question may be answered by anyone who feels the same way, I have asked it a few times now and no-one seems to be able to give me a sensible answer. I'm confident with out being to over confident! I'm sure everyone here thinks we will win the league but at the moment it could only take for us to draw 1 game out of the next 3 to make it a last day decider. Like I said on another thread Sat is Dundee's best chance to drop points as I feel if they beat Partick then they will go on to beat Morton and Raith twice. We don't want to get to above ourselfs or cocky thinking it's in the bag as it could come back to bit us in the arse like it did to Dundee and their over confident fans. Lets take it one game at a time, starting on Sat! If we win on Sat that would be a huge step towards the title!
-
So do we have anyone in danger of missing the Dundee game if they are booked this sat?
-
Since we drew with Dundee on the 6th of March they have only beaten the team who currently sit in the relegation play off spot, they have been beaten three times and drawn three times and you are classing a 3-0 victory over Ayr United as a return to form. I really pity some of our fans. It is a team we drew with at home not so long ago. Where did I say they are on a great run or that they have returned to form? Through out their bad run they were always still top of the league or in touching distance. Now it is now or never for them and they do seem to have had a kick up the arse and in their last couple of games they seem to have been playing a bit better. I do think that Partick is the best chance for them to drop points though as I feel they will beat Morton and Raith should they beat Partick! We can't expect them to drop points and we need to go out believing Dundee will win every game so we need to do the same! A Partick win though would be great and would prob finish them off
-
I'm hoping we can win the league before the last day of the season but I can see Dundee winning the rest of their games before they play us. They seem to have had a kick up the arse and they have to go for it now. Partick away is the toughest game they have left before playing us, so sat is probably the best chance for them to drop more points. I think we could do really do with a draw there as I have a feeling we won't beat QOS. Dundee though should, if they win on sat and not fall further behind, be able to beat Morton and a Raith team who will be playing 4 games a week. A win on saturday for us would be huge!!

Came across this earlier! http://v4.sportnetwork.net/phorum/list.php?13,page=1126 Starts from early 2003. All the first pages there are spam but from the last one on was interesting to read. A lot of old posters on there! Was interesting reading some of the old posts about when we beat Celtic in 2003 when we went up on a minibus from Glasgow and winning the league and getting into the SPL!
-
Are you sure you heard that right?? There is no way you would get odds of 50/1 for each keeper just to make a save in the game!! That would only mean both teams having 1 shot on target at least that isn't a goal, that happens in pretty much every game! Maybe it was for both keepers to save a penalty? That would make more sense
-
So Munro and Cox are out of the Dunfermline game and unless you are sent off then the suspension for going over the point threshold doesn't kick in for 14 days? Do we have any players who are in danger of going above the point total if they are booked against QOS or Dunfermline or booked in both meaning they would miss the Ayr or Dundee games?
-
Yeah I reckon we will stick to the same back 4 we have had in recent weeks, which has kept a number of clean sheets as well. The only change could be Odhiambo dropping to the bench as he never had a great game yesterday. The Dunfermline game will be interesting though with Munro and Cox out. Yesterday Bully came on for Odhiambo and played at right back with Proctor moving into midfield! Esson Proc Tokely Munro Golly Cox Duncan Hayes Sanchez Foran Rooney

Yeah thanks again CaleyD for sorting out the bus and driving us down and back!! I wouldn't have been able to go to the game if it wasnt for the minibus! Good journey down and good reult result to! Diet Irn Bru sure makes a journey fly past :D
