  1. Not really got any comment regarding quality and prices as generally I feel that at most grounds quality is low and prices are relatively high and have come to realise this is the norm and the trend is not going to be bucked at ICT in the near future. Not even a criticism of the club, just an acceptance that any situation where there is a such a captive market as a football stadium crowd this scenario is going to exist... Issue Queue management and speed of service are both an absolute shambles, bordering on the downright ridiculous. The Ayr game, with the West side of the ground closed for whatever reason, was simply unacceptable as it was impossible to move from the North Stand to even the toilets, never mind even get a cup of coffee or something hot to eat. Blatantly obvious that staff are untrained and not supervised. If there was a supervisor present they certainly were not doing their job. Idea Dedicated drinks kiosks at either side of the North stand, perhaps where the portaloos stand just now? I'm not too bothered about pies etc. when going to a game but do like to get a coffee or hot drink, but I'm usually put off by the queues. Introduce a queueing system which is managed by stewards and perhaps put down a couple of flow barriers which you see at other grounds to control access and egress from the serving hatch. Get some staff who know how to work and a Supervisor/Manager who is interested in making sure they do. From the evidence of the Ayr game in the North side of the Main stand it was a gaggle of young girls having a chat and occasionally serving while literally hundreds of people waited.
  2. Just wondered what grounds people have been to and which ones they rate as fantastic and which they would rather forget! Not so much for the game itself but for the venue, what it has to offer, etc. etc.! For me anyway it's: Best - Arsenals Emirates Stadium. Not a bad view to be had, 60,000 padded seats, plenty of food and drink outlets, easy access to and from and designed to make the most of the atmosphere. Just a fantastic venue. Worst - Cliftonhill (Albion Rovers). A condemned terrace on one side, nothing at either end, a huge flight of stairs to ascend to reach pitch level, and it's in Coatbridge!!
  3. The Dundee fans summed it up perfectly again... 'Two Nil and you F**ked it up' That little ditty is going to haunt this season... Having said that, I still can't believe we didn't win yesterday. We hammered them, but the defence went to sleep and then the unluckiest break of all kicked in. It's just so frustrating that the start of the season was so poor otherwise we could be romping this league. It ain't over yet and there will be more twists and turns but time is starting to run out for the ground to be made up. Gonna be a fun run in anyway!!
  4. Nobody will be going now... Games Aff (again)
  5. New deals confirmed Good news and glad to see some uncertainty removed and the guys show their commitment.
  6. Good plan but County are playing Partick :026: Doh! Must read fixtures properly!
  7. Call the Ayr game off today. Give County a call, it's not as if they are going to make it to Kirkcaldy is it? Play the derby tomorrow. Simples?
  8. Why?
  9. yes. I was thinking that In all however if it was to be called off then we'd be closer in games to county and It'd give us a better picture of the way things are going! Morton - County is already off so wouldn't be much benefit there. Playing today would be much better but having been outside and felt how hard the ground is, wouldn't be surprised at all if it was off now.
  10. It is one of the stock designs on the errea site, personalisation is just photoshop
  11. Sneak preview of next seasons shirt?
  12. Bolton was the 2nd (I think??) Friendly before our first season. Jason McAteer was in the squad, if I remember right, pre-Liverpool. Did Owen Coyle not play for Bolton that season too??
  13. A true great, the first inductee into the IRB's hall of fame that was not previously an international player. Listening to some of his commentaries in the obituaries on the BBC site it reminds you just how much passion and feeling he had for the game, a great loss to sport in general.
  14. Quite happy with the set up from the other night though maybe a rethink at left back... Esson Tokely Bulvitis Munro McBain Proctor Duncan Hayes Sanchez Foran Rooney Bench: Allison, Djebi-Zadi, Cox, Imrie, Eagle
  15. OK, perhaps I should have made myself clearer... I'm referring to a post made by caleykid1994 who apparently sits in 'section G' who has offered reasons as to why players get abused from that area of the gound. That is what is being commented on and cited above, not anything that I have heard...
  16. No idea... Seems a bit retarded to me! As it's apparently one of the 'Section G' regulars who has posted this and offered the explanation, why don't you ask him?
  17. Surely you agree these are pretty pathetic excuses to abuse your own players RowdyBey?
  18. Thought he looked pretty uncomfortable but did a good job. Looked like he was out of position a lot of the time and that definitely curbed his natural enthusiasm to go forward. Having said that, Motherwell didn't threaten down our left side and there were no problems so I'm perhaps being a bit harsh!
  19. Enjoyed Dougies performance last night, continued the good work Hayes started before his injury. Gotta remember the guy is trying to get back into the team after an injury, give him some time! Was very surprised to hear a couple of boo's when he came on and was laughing at his celebration, fingers to the lips and a decent GIRUY to the morons who did boo him. No idea what the slagging is for, haven't read anywhere that he wants to leave the club and when he plays he always seems to contribute. So what if he is a bit arrogant? There is hardly a humble footballer on the planet! That streak of arrogance and ego is what makes him the player he is. Some of the reasons given above in this thread for abusing players are pretty pathetic, schoolyard stuff. Personally don't know much about the whole 'Section G' thing, don't really think they are particularly boisterous, fanatical or vocal, despite the self proclamations, and having read some of the excuses for booing/abusing the players (i.e. Rooney, Allison, Ross) have probably become even more of an irrelevance in my mind. Also, if the Barrowman 'square-go' incident is true then as far as I'm concerned the lad should have been taken outside and booted up and down the car park until some common sense was knocked into him. That kinda thing doesn't help anyone and certainly wouldn't inspire the rest of the team to play for the fans who are trying to attack one of their mates!!
  20. I had ?10 on Caley to win 1-0 that night (0-0 half time) and Wyness to score. At full time, after we had won 1-0 and Denzil had scored with the last kick off the first half, I almost didn't know whether to be delighted we had won or gutted that I had missed out on a very welcome windfall (was still a student at the time...). Don't remember the odds exactly but it's fair to say they were substantial!! (settled for being delighted we had won, obviously!)
  21. If the Morton game is off, and County have their game called off, is it possible that the derby will be played on Saturday instead? Folk won't fancy traipsing the length of the country, the A9 in particular, in this weather but Dingwall to Inverness could be a go-er. Probably too much common sense for the authorities but think it's worth a suggestion...
  22. Wouldn't say the main roads are all that great. The A9 was closed only 2 nights ago remember!! Correct decision and I can't see the game going ahead on Tuesday either. This weather is going to be here for a wee while yet, the only game which may get on is the rearranged County match. Asking fans to travel any distance in this weather is just a nonsense and simply strengthens the argument for summer football. John Beattie gets it exactly right in his blog (admittedly a rugby column but same arguments apply to football as far as I can see).
  23. The answer to that argument is that it is probably more a question of Police/Emergency Services resources than anything else. The city centre/retail park are expected to be busy with X thousand people and the services can plan for and respond to that, even if they are stretched, as there will be a city wide management plan in place. To dilute coverage by allowing a football match with up to 7,000 additional people congregating in one area, with the potential added strain on the Emergency Services, is too big a ask at this time of year with the extra workload caused by the weather. Football has always been an additional strain on Emergency Services resources, that is why clubs pick up the tab for extra Policing, etc. In times like this, with the weather as it is, the 'slack' in the Emergency Services rota will be non-existent as it will be all hands on deck dealing with all the issues the majority of us never see. Cancelling the game was the only decision that could be made realistically, and the absolutely correct one.
  24. Yes. A long overdue change it would be too. Would tie in much better with the International calendar, European calendar for those involved in Euro competition... More fans going to watch a game while basking in sunshine, or at least not having to invest in thermal underwear to stay alive, makes the product infinitely much more attractive. It has always seemed like absolute madness to me that we play outdoor sport in the months with the worst weather.

    New stock

Errea quality and sizing is pretty awful, can't be many worse suppliers given the yearly delivery and supply problems that ICT seem to endure. Does anyone kow long does the contract have left to go? Surely the club can attract a new manufacturer, County have managed to secure Adidas after all. Even though we would be an 'off the shelf' design (and I'd imagine that would be the same with errea) a major suppliers gear would be much higher quality with a much better supply chain.
