  1. More than happy to admit I got this one wrong but have to say playing with a centre forward was a big plus today and Eddies first touch is excellent and he brought players into the game well. Some saying he faded after 60 mins but the fact the wind hemmed us back made his job very hard. I now travel south to the semi-final with some expectation to go with my hope.
  2. Don't usually get nervous about league games but as has already been said I fear a humping today and this effecting our crowd at Hampden.....but as Billy Ocean says "when the going gets tough......." just keep picking a winger at centre forward and hope it works this week.
  3. I looked at both sides before the game and saw Flood and Robson in their midfield and thought the pace we had we could run right through them but virtually every time Ross, Williams, Doran, Tansey or Draper could have driven forward they stopped and played the ball back or sideways letting Aberdeen get players back. We have no cutting edge at the moment and no out ball to relieve pressure like we used Watkins for when he played on the wing.
  4. It's not the last game but all games since Hamilton. Esson and Brill are equally good keepers but our back line were better organised with Deano behind them. It took quite a bit of time for this to happen and now they are making the same errors they did before the understanding between keeper and defenders was worked out. IMHO.
  5. Brill Raven. Horner Warren Devine Meekings Tremarco Shinnie Draper Tansey Watkins
  6. Charlie Taylor has just scored his first ever senior goal for Leeds United v Wolves.
  7. That'll do for me. It's nice to find helpful people.
  8. My only wish for now is that we win another game before the end of the season. I know I will get ripped to shreads for this but I am getting very frustrated at the way we are playing, the team selection and the complete lack of information about players contracts. I know we are third and in a semi-final but it could be so much more.
  9. Just a wee note to say that a pub/micro brewery on Cathcart Rd called Clockwork Brewery is taking bookings for coaches for before the game. I can't say I know anything about the place it has come to me second hand.
  10. I may be wrong here, I often am, but when we reached our first League Cup semi final a couple of seasons back a lot of us were saying all semi finals should be at Hampden when they announced Easter Road. I am starting to find this "They all hate us" mentality getting tedious and think we are forgetting or overlooking what a great achievement this is and instead of getting excited, some, are wallowing in self pity. The decision is made, Sunday 19th April 2015 at Hampden Park. Let's start enjoying the build up and encourage people to get there and get behind the team and let ICT do what they do best, beat the odds and shock Scottish football.
  11. I think we all have to careful here or we are going to get a reputation as whingers. We all know that if we progress to semi's the games are going to be televised and times are not going to suit us. What would we prefer, getting to latter rounds of cups or the team getting knocked out early to save us all the hassle of travel inconvenience. We all know T.V companies rule our game and have done for a long long time and things won't change because ICT are getting to SF and Finals. I will have to take 2 nightshifts off and find a kennels for our dogs but I would rather do that than think about losing a late goal at St Mirren and being knocked out in our first cup game.
  12. Just when I thought Dundee Utd could not sink any lower McNamara comes out with this utter rubbish. Deny, deflect, accuse and lie. This should be their club moto.
  13. I believe Dave the Rave is training to be a plumber so he has a career after football so is already sorting himself out. He has got to be one of our most consistent performers and a two year deal is the least he deserves in my opinion.
  14. Just to clarify the high tide was due at 13:30 and was predicted to be 2nd highest of the year so far. Happy now?
  15. There is one answer to your question and that is finances. I don't understand all this "The club should do this" The club should have done that". The weather has caused the postponement and it happens. If anyone thinks the club did not want the game played today, take a look at yourselves. The position of the ground makes drainage difficult at certain times (tides). Those saying it's not raining now what would you prefer, a game postponed before people set off for the game or waiting just in case things improve only to find at 14:00 the pitch is unplayable. It's March, it's the North of Scotland and the ground is next to a tide driven body of water. These things happen and the club can do very little to stop it.
  16. Always a gentleman whenever I met him. Loved his time at ICT and always talked highly of the club and the fans. Sad when anyone has to cut short a career because of injury but when it's someone you know it hits home what a short career a footballer can have. I wish him well in whatever he does in the future.
  17. I didn't think I would ever say this but I hope Celtic win their next three games all 6-0 I despise this Dundee Utd set up more than the old firm. From a chairman who is a hypocrit to a manager who encourages cheating to players who are thugs and cheats(not just Ciftci but Paton, Connelly, Dillon etc.) and some of their fans who are so blinkered against anything negative about their club they cannot see what is in front of them to others that actually revel in the way the team cheat.
  18. Try the Highland Tartan Army. I think they have a web site.
  19. I may be in a minority of one but I actually think that Esson is the better of our two very capable 'keepers. I don't think there is much between them as straight forward keepers but within the teams defensive unit Deano's style of keeping works better and the goals we've lost since he's been out, I think, show this. As a back 5 we are better with Brill.
  20. I think this is the sort of thing that was being said before their most recent administration along with " We have no bank debt." As caleyboy says debt is debt.
  21. Inverness Caledonian Thistle 01 Esson 02 Raven 14 Devine 06 Meekings 03 Shinnie 19 Williams 08 Draper 16 Tansey 11 Ross 07 Ofere 22 Christie Substitutes 10 Doran 17 Horner 18 Tremarco 20 Polworth 31 Mackay 37 Sutherland 39 Ferguson
  22. How can a company, organisation or football club that has been in administration twice in recent years, be allowed to be over £3m n debt. They are playing a very dangerous game as another administration would surely mean the end.
  23. Killie are a different side under Locke. They have more fight and are better organised. We could analyse each goal we conceded and say we should have done better, but you get games like this. We didn't create many clear cut chances but still scored 3 goals. The one thing I would say is the defence is more solid with Deano between the sticks.
  24. You should hold onto it until we win the cup in May and then people will want it to try and say "I went to every tie the year we won the cup"
