  1. Renegade, The likes of St J and Kilmarnock have shown that their support comes out if they are doing well, cup games and European games as examples. We don't have that sort of support at anytime, these clubs do and that is the point I make when I said about age of club. They don't get 7,000 every week but can take 20000 to cup finals and full houses for Euro nights. These fans will turn up for special occasions but we don't have this. We are not competing with Queens Park so that anology is meaningless
  2. The club have tried £10 tickets and friends of season ticket holders getting cheap tickets and it doesn't work. Crowds did not increase. As I've said in another post I don't have the answer but if something can't be done soon it will be a major problem for our club. With no league sponsor money is very tight in Scottish football and we have to think outside the box.
  3. I think Aberdeen will play with one up front for this. McInnes has said the two up front would only be for certain games and I can't see him letting us have an extra man in midfield although the injury to Jack may force his hand. I don't think we will change formation but I really hope we don't pay them too much respect and push at them and not let them come onto us e.g Ibrox last week and our last two trips to Parkhead.
  4. Very happy you had a good time. Glad to hear Richie was on good form.
  5. Aberdeen, Divedee Utd, Hibs, Hearts and Dundee have about a hundred years of history and generations passing down loyalty to the next generation, so even if people are not going regularly there is something in their minds when there clubs do well that they want to go to a game. ICT (or CT) have been around for 20 or so years and have not built up a latent support. We have also had almost constant success since day one so the Inverness and surrounding area have just come to expect this. I don't have the answer, maybe we should contact MK Dons to see how they sold the "new" club to a non footballing area?
  6. Negativity on this forum does not effect crowd sizes as the people who are not coming either don't read this forum or don't know it exists. If we all agreed about tactics, team selection etc. football would be very boring. More than once yesterday the crowd around me moaned as we went backwards when in their opinion a forward movement was on. The people moaning on here about low attendances I'll ask one question. What are you doing about it. Before you ask I buy an extra season ticket and give it to different friends for each game in the hope they will come back as a paying fan. Moaning about it on fans forum or CJT meeting will not bring new faces as they don't have that much interest yet.
  7. Is there a game today?
  8. We showed them to much respect. We needed to let them know who were the Premiership team but sat back. Hope we put things right on Saturday.
  9. Just back. I just couldn't work out what went wrong. Started well but gave away two very soft goals, not picking players up. We created a few chances but as the game went on Billy got more and more isolated. Draper struggled after being booked early and we did not close down. Credit to Partick they played very much to their strengths and we did not have a plan b to try to change the way the game was going.
  10. Clean sweep. Yogi, Drapes and Ryan. Well done.
  11. Not going to quote you but I do think you are preaching to the converted. The people that the message is aimed at aren't on this forum and as outsiders looking in our game is not exciting and is repetitive and spouting "negative" or "happy clappers " isn't going to change people's opinion. Where are the extra 500 people going to come from?
  12. Off topic I know but, until the clubs and SPFL wake up and realise that playing the same teams 3,4,5 and even 6 times a season is not going to attract more people through the turnstyles. Even games against Celtic, Aberdeen and even worse C*unty are not pulling in the punters anymore. People are fed up of the same old same old.
  13. Police are reporting that a man has been arrested for throwing a coin at Ibrox at the last Rangers home game. Not clear if it was a fans protest or Mike Ashley paying for the naming rights.
  14. Warren back in if fit but who drops out I don't know. Nice problem for Yogi to have.
  15. A lot of lowers is league managers have clauses allowing them to leave for free if a top flight club want them. Maybe this is the case here and by resigning he has forgone any money owed to him in regards to bonuses etc. that QotS may have been due to pay. Works out for both parties.
  16. And their share of all the TV deals for SPFL games. Without sounding like I am backing K.O changes, without a League sponsor the TV money is the highest income the league has. The clubs have gate money but this alone is not enough to keep clubs afloat. The club would get that share even if they had no TV games during the season but chances are you would get bigger home attendances . So if we are on Tv it would be best if we were playing away So what you are saying is " Give us our share of the money but don't inconvenience us. Make all other teams change and not us." With the job I do changing K.O times makes it really difficult to get to some games, but without the TV money we probably could not survive as a club in the way that we do. Twenty years ago if you were asked if you would like to see a Highland Derby live on National TV, after you stopped laughing, you would have loved the idea. Instead of criticising TV companies for wanting to show us live, let's just think about what has been achieved in the last twenty years for this to happen.

  18. I think brining Emile Heskey in will be the biggest coup ever. When is he signing?
  19. That's cheered me up no end. I shall be chuckling to my self all day about Heskey at TCS.
  20. Lee Cox playing for Plymouth Argyle against Luton on Sky at the moment.
  21. Game moved to Sunday 5/10/14 at 12:45 k.o for Sky to show.
  22. You sound like a fungi.
  23. Good thread btw Sneckboy. It's one where people are putting over reasoned discussion without the arguments and name calling.
  24. In the system we play now it would have to be Rooney for me. His overall movement was slightly better than Billy and Rooney would make chances for himself where as Billy is a finisher of moves.
  25. At no point at all did OTJ say his move was a step up. The media drivel of " A new challenge" were quoted. OTJ has a young family and was offered almost double his wages. On top of that he had had a serious knee injury and the training ground at the Fort with its poor surface was doing him no favours. He never had a bad word to say about ICT, just the opposite, and sat with the fans at the semi-final. I for one wish him all the best for the future. A good player on the pitch and a gentleman off it.
