Tokely destination
There is a player in the world cup who is 38! Depends on the individual genes and energy quotient I suppose, but a fit player can keep in shape fairly easily. But to do so he needs regular and disciplined workouts , good food of the right sort and adequate rest. And doesn't like the sauce too much. In short, he respects his body and his profession and appreciates his club enough to get on with it and make it a priority.

The Official World Cup Thread
Prima Donnas without spirit, energy or desire. Pathetic, shambolic team. Individually they apparently play out of their skins in the League games but representing their country they pass across and backwards more than in the right direction. I wonder how Scotland would have fared in comparison. Any views on that?

CaleyJags sign 9 stars of tomorrow
Lionel Messi is only 5'6" tall--fer heaven's sake. 'Tis quality, not quantity, and a stout heart that counts. He is probably quick........short legs accelerate more quickly.

Butch being a bit too harsh?
One swallow does not a Summer make. C,mon, the fella should be cosseted and kept in goal. There is no ned to destroy him just because he had one slip up.

A thought on contracts...
The fact that the club was willing to give Ryan a 2 year deal is a positive approach, not a negative one. They clearly recognise his value to the club and are very happy to have him signed up. But who are they going to slot in as number 2, I wonder?

REASONS TO BEAT CELTIC AT CALEDONIAN STADIUM
Nothing like being confident but over-confident is another matter. Think ICT should come out being thoughtful and cautious and pretend not to be the world beaters that they are. Then when they win by handsome margins in every game they can look diffident, surprised, apologetic and humble. Works every time......

Felipe Morias....Free Agent?
Don't be too judgemental about his wanderings. His professonal career may be short--a bad injury, for example, could finmish him off and I doubt that his current team when it happened would be the one to pay all his bills forever. Maybe players have an excellent insurance policy to cover this eventuality bvut it certainl;y would be a horrible event for a true profesional player who is probably playing the game for more than just the money. Players have the right, also, to drive to get to the top and, so long as he meets the terms of any current contract, why should he not look around. In my sight, clubs in general have no compunction in letting players go if they don't fit their bill, for whatever reasonso it's only fair to accord the same rights to a player....keeping the playing field even as it were. Bearing grudges is usually counter productive in life and rarely redounds to the benefit of the grudger. Mostly, all it does is to increase the subconscious stress levels in the body , scews up the facial appearance, generates bad chemicals in the body which lead to elevated cholesterol, trglycerides, mental instability, liver damage and often precipitates an inability to digest c.ckaleekie soup and the suffering of colon griping and bloating. And since I would not wish that on my worst virtual enemy , if I were too allow it to happen then it means he has won ........jeez! :P

Dundee in dire straits
With ICT clearing a 27 point gap, well, that was really something as it related to the progrsss (er...decline) of Dundee. For Dens fans it was not just a c..ck up but a total drubbing from a very high-priced team it seems.Hunilitaing, like. Well, it's onwards and upwards anyway for the better team and another successful season we all hope --ju st to put the icing on the cake . Oh, that dry wit from the grizzled veteran Yngwie--gotta love it. :021:

Dundee United chairman slagging us off
If his team are so good why do only some 5000 fans buy season tickets then? Bottom line is surely that the cost of going to the matches is too high for the average fan. PERIOD.

ICT to Move?
Bauhaus After Johnboy reently ridiculed my connections to the supernatural through our black cat, Matilda, I laconically asked her to investigate this issue as part of her thesis for her application to be inducted into the Pimpernel Organisation's Hall of Flame. She is a real fast thinker and acter and came back yesterday to advise. : "Scarlet, taking into account the aforesaid (she is a bit pedantic, like , so bear with me ) poo-pooing of your thoughts I consulted with the All-Bran Seer over the Bridge over a nice lunch in Avoch and , confidentially, the said Gent hinted that Bauhaus might be in need of some solace after recovering from a bad bout of "Welsh Golfer's". "Welsh Golfer's? " I expostulated. "You mean Glamorgan Glaucoma, I presume.?" "Nooooooooo!" she replied......................Dai Rees, dummy! :P

ICT to Move?
To ensure an adequate revenue stream, would such a project not need to ensure that a policy of "all roads lead to Rome" would have to be envisioned by the city in co-operation with ICT. As the major revenue earner in the form of a sports facility in the city, then unless the Council, or whomever is responsible for roadworks, had the plans and funding in place to make sure that all roads somehow led to the stadium in an uncluttered and non-tortuous way to contribute to a continuous smooth traffic flow, both in and out of the park , then nothing but gridlock would result...frustration, ultimately-reduced crowds etc. Presuming that these mooted road projects got the green light well in advance and got underway to ensure completion well before the first ball was kicked, then I see no reason why a progressive thinking and determined Board of Directors could not accomplish this innovative project. It's change or decline on a daily basis for success. No club with the ambition to remain successful for a very long time can affored to get complacent and sit basking in the glory that comes with the good times whilst having no plans in place for the most assured adversities that must come their way from time to time. Therefore , even if nothing ever were to come of this , I applaud George Fraser for his progressive and visionary approach. Most successful people are not all thinkers who see every smooith and every rippled surface on the future road of life; but choose to put their faith in their own energy, dreams and vision to make sure that when the bumps appear then they either have already decided to go round them, over them, or through them and the goal is the only thing that motivates them. One thing is certain if the naysayers on here always work with the prompter that : " Ohhh, we can't do it, there are too many problems that could come with such a venture" then ICT will languish and not get more successful---which incidentalluy would also mean no benefit to many other people, such as organisations , schools, sports teams projects , Rod Stewart -type promotions, and the overall feel good factor of the people in the City of Inverness. Keep it in mind, George ,and when the opportunity arises, just go for it, I say.

Smee--do not confuse puppetry with "getting alongetry" or co-operatingetry". Believe it or not, getting along with people in a job is a great gift and talent not to be underestimated when promotion time approaches. All I personally know about this gentleman is that I was introduced to him once outside at the stadium and he was very affable and had a ready smile.

The salaries in England are eye-popping. Over a million pounds per player. How long can that last? Not every club can be winners and the cost of going to a match there must be very high as well. Is it more than in the SPL? Very high priced and salaried players may be a thing of the past soon and a few good playrs out of work so..... With the austerity smothering everyone everywhere and Greece degenerating into riots because their Government wants them to stop taking 3 months off work for holidays and pay more for taxes where can it all end? 45 BILLION in debt in Greece. The Mediterranean sun warming their lazy little bodies won't pay the bills and clubs without Arabs' purses to back them must be getting windy the noo. A player who is getting on in years, but may still have some gas in the tank and could probably do a real job for ICT, may be interested in coming to lovely Inverness where adoring fans can make one a big c.ock in a smaller donghull. And Yngwie there is no need to revise my post since I am going round yer rules>- Hayes signs!

Stunning scenes. I have never seen anything like this , not here, not at Telford Street. Magnificent to see so many youngsters enjoying themselves. Football is alive and well in Inverness I think and this augurs well for the future. A huge thanks to MEE for these videos. :021: B) :004: Scarlet- Tomorrow

Yawn.---from ther Black isle I suppose. Gawd I hope so......... :party01: And IHE never talks to me anymore. In fact, his posts are getting shorter by the minute.
