  1. Another interesting and positive post from ITCHY. ( I H E ) I'm not itching, I'm just hotching in my chair because I can't get to a match. You lucky fans .
  2. I see. What about "needs must when the Devil drives"? Gotta convince people to support the team and if the only way to get them inside Tulloch Stadium is to reduce prices on an intermittent basis only,.... then .....?
  3. Positivity from Davie --I liiiiike it.
  4. If Mohammed won't come to the mountain then the mountain must come to Mohammed! i.e The club must now spend time and money in every way possible to promote this club to the fans in Inverness and district when they are on the crest like this. When they are down in the dumps that is not the time to do it because the product on the park will at that time not be so attractive. Once you can get the average punter through the turnstiles, and he enjoys what he sees, then he will come back (hopefully) and tell other people to go as well. Anything ...like a lottery offering with season tickets or a substantial ticket package as the winning prize and free entry for children. Offer tours of the stadium to boys and girls and have them meet with the Board for a brief chat and have a kick-about with rapid penalty kicks with Dean Brill for say ten minutes. He allows 70% percent to score, falling around in the wrong direction. And just have a great day inside the park. Meet the players and chit chat-very personable and very inspiring for youngsters. The kids then go home glowing and tell their parents what a great time they had and urge them to take them to a match or matches. The first time they do that they get one ticket free for another adult--that means mum can go along as well for a real family day out. Dunno if I am on the right track but it's worth a try. Suggestions?
  5. 4,034! ...............CaleyJAGS77 And I suppose that included 1000 Hearts supporters.
  6. So Hearts brought about 1,000 then? That means another very poor turnout from the Inverness public. Maybe 3,000 maximum? So sad! What is it--the price too high in these difficult days?
  7. Average ticket in Vancouver is about 20 dollars ($20. Can). That's about 13-to 14 piounds, As an experiment I think the club should try reducing the price for the next two to three home matches just to get data and see what happens. i.e if the SFL allows this,of course.
  8. Yes but isn't it five pounds per head provided it relates to at least 650 full-paying adults minimum. not kids. Question is : how many kids are included in that large figure. Personally speaking, I think it would be great if they just paid Hearts the 5 pounds per adult regardless of how many kids come up. Goodwill would be massive.
  9. Gyles Young Scarlet followed East Fife fat Bayview Park for a couple of years in his hey-day? Wanted to get out of the house as much as anything. Newly married and with kid, Saw some memorable games there I must admit.
  10. Really? Well, no team can be taken lightly in this league at this stage. They are all feeling their way and developing and if they get their nose in front , then anything can happen. Caution. And care. And c' mon ICT.
  11. OOPS--that should have come out "......pushed off the ball,,,".
  12. Whether he should have passed or not is surely irrelevant. He was OFF the ball and it was a clear penalty.
  13. Shudder!
  14. Cor! Dunain Road was never so exciting...
  15. The whole point is that ICT will benefit financially, not make a loss. They are ahead--right? .......................Hullo!!!!! And make friends of the fans who are hardly to blame for the schemzozzle dumped upon them by that European lad. Vlad had an idea that turned out to be really bad Spend money that he didnae have but thought he had At the end of the day he was revealed as small and sad, Back up a Tad,.........Vlad was Mad And we hope that's the end of that tune, E'Gad.
  16. If we want ICT to progress then we have to let the past slide away into obscurity and concentrate on the future. In case any of you younger element haven't noticed, life is short. The ICT Management is making both a generous, and a calculated business, gesture which is fine by me. Remember .."There but for the grace of God go I." Hearts are an integral part of Scottish Football and, frankly, the demise and/or near death of so many former prominent teams is something we should be scared of ...and a sad reflection of the current state of football in Scotland . If it keeps on like this how many decent team will there be left against whom we can strut our brilliant stuff ? This is a positive gesture by ICT which should be applauded and supported. It's smart, shrewd and generous and will make friends not enemies who will remember us when we have won the league. Be nice to people on the way up because you may need them on the way down. If you love football then we should welcome the hearts fans with open arms and wish them well under any future "new" management.

  18. Simple: He hustled down to the harbour where he hopped onto one of Captain Friesen's old float planes , heard Canada was a good place to hide out in the wilds etc, hot footed it to Vancouver B.C. with the keystone cops in..... hot pursuit, happened to see the Rio Tinto Alcan boat race in full flood and had an inspiration that he could get lost in the shuffle of all the people milling around, so he handily parachuted down from 3000 feet, hit the water hard and, by happenstance, was hammered by a paddle and was promptly hustled to hospital where he is currently under close surveillance and is awaiting..... hextradition. he claims that h-only the lonely would have done what he is claimed to have done and hopes for leniency and that he will live happily ever after. Have a good day, a hot toddy ...and Hallowed be thy Name.
  19. And I see that the coastguard ship had you in their sights as well. They only appear when there is danger to life, a miscreant aboard or Royalty around. Maybe all three apparent in this case?
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KMZH0f5Nh4 200 metres of all out effort. Anyone can participate. Very popular sport.

  23. Right now at 7 p.m. here in Maple Ridge, B.C., Canada, it's 29 degrees. No end in sight except maybe for Saturday when a few rain showers coming in from the Pacific are possible. Then back to sunshine. Nice. In Toronto, Ontario, the forecast is for 33 for this week as I recall.
