John Brown
I think it's more the context of the shouts that Brown was, rightly, mocked for. His ill researched yammerings were a complete joke. If he put a bit more thought into what he was saying then he might not have been ridiculed as much although I appreciate the emotions were running high.

In fairness, everyone knows orange ice lollies suck.

ICT Legends & Memorable Games
The reaction of the players when Foran scored that last minute overhead kick against Raith Rovers in a 4 - 3 win when we were in SFL1.

I think it's okay but I don't like it enough to buy it.

Season Tickets
I worked out that I miss somewhere between 4 - 6 Home games a season due to work, games being called off due to the weather and being rearranged to times I can't make and games being reschedule for TV meaning I can't make it through. MIssing that number of games just doesn't give the season ticket enough value for money for me. I'll just pay at the gate and go to a couple more away games instead.

What a bizarre statement. I don't think it's that great and to be honest I'd rather spend the £40 on going to ICT games.

Emergency Board Meeting?
Totally agree. I think that TV deals and high admission pricess have killed the game to an extent along with the lack of a realistic chance of success in most competitions. We've had ~ 7,000 for a Boxing Day game against Hibs amd the same for a crucial game against Falkirk which sadly saw us relegated. I fimrly believe that with the right restructuring we could start to gain fans back through the turnstiles.

Ross County V ICT (fan match) Matchday Thread
Sounds like a fantastic effort from both sides. To raise over £1,000 is fantastic - well done!

Emergency Board Meeting?
It may have been exaggerated in terms of it's meaning but I feel more and more these days that clubs are all about getting as much money from TV deals etc. rather than getting fans through the door which, ultimately, should be one of the main sources of income for a club. The talk is all about TV deals and not much to do with supporters. As I say, perhaps an exaggerated statement but one that I feel is applicable to the way Scottish football is heading.

Emergency Board Meeting?
SPL ARMAGEDDON says The Sun apparently. Cameron doesn't have the right to say anything about a vote regarding SFL clubs and criticising their decision when the SPL sides already booted Rangers out. I am particularly uneasy at the quote "Scottish football was at a crossroads on Friday in terms of what was on the table for all clubs regarding reorganisation and financial distribution that would have taken the game forward" which to me suggests that reconstruction was only going to be taken forward if Rangers were allowed into SFL1. If they weren't then tough there would be no league shake up or am I reading too much into this? I've said it already but the fact that, if the rumours are true about a few SPL clubs, then weaning ourselves off this TV deal may be the best thing that has ever happened to clus in Scotland. It's is ridiculous that Sky money is essentially our life support and we can no longer sustain ourselves. With the lack of matches on TV maybe you'll actually get more punters going through the gates. Optimistic maybe but the TV deal, abysmal as it may have been, has crippled our game.

Emergency Board Meeting?
What I think is really sad is the fact that ICT were almost excluded from the SPL due to apparent self preservation. How we mumped and moaned about the attitudes of clubs that made up the SPL back in 2004 that didn't seem to welcome playing by rules in case it upset the apple cart. Well here we are now in 2012 and we've managed to get into the top league (again) and now we are one of those clubs whom we initially had to battle to get into that top league and now the shoe is on the other foot and we only care about self preservation. Very disappointing.

Completely agree with this. Why? Dunfermline were absolute pap last season and were deservedly relegated. Alex Thomson has been pretty spot on, as mentioned above, in pretty much everything he has said so far. Of course, the Daily Record (aka Rangers Fanzine) is not going to pick up on this kind of stuff but reading Thomsons blog has left me feeling a combination of sadness, anger and complete despair at the way football is run here. It's all geared towards satisfying the Old Firm and it's absolutely tragic.

Emergency Board Meeting?
I'm really disappointed in this news. I had posted on P & B that I would be thoroughly ashamed if ICT were one of the clubs trying to bully the SFL teams into parachuting Rangers into SFL1 and that's exactly what I am right now. There is something seriously wrong when, it would seem, so many clubs appear to have a business model that is almost wholly dependent on the presence of one or two big fish. We need to wean ourselves off this dependancy quickly.

It's completely pathetic it is taking this long to resolve this issue. The simple fact is "Rangers" are a new team and there is nothing in the rules to allow them to go into the league any other way than to apply for membership of SFL3. Why are the authorities trying to break their own rules to pander to one of the Old Firm? I don't recall much of a fuss trying to get Gretna back into the SFL at any level when they went down the tubes. Sorry for the double post but I can't edit that post nor delete it for some reason.

That's a poor statement from Stenny who have swallowed the Doncaster tripe hook, line and sinker. Their fans are not happy it would seem. As for the Daily Record, it's as good as a Rangers fanzine. They are going to be going all out to hype up the supposed disaster that will befell us all if "Rangers" are punted to the Third. A disgusting paper.

SPL Neil Doncaster Warning
Actually, I'm completely furious with this revelation. Can you imagine the scene - Rangers fighting against relegation on the last day of the season and have to win to stay up. With the score at 1 - 1, a player goes down in the box under no contact, the referee, knowing full well that Rangers have to be in the top league to retain a TV deal blows his whistle. But what does he give? Suddenly, this orc raises his head from the stands: PENALTY TO RANGERS! They score and the TV deal is saved! Hurrah!
