Is Draper a Diver?
How do you infer from the rules that it is a red card?

Craig Dargo
In the two seasons that Dargo and Higdon played together before they both left St. Mirren at the end of the 2010/11 season they played 38 and 33 games respectively. The season before, their first in the same team, they played 29 games and 39 games respectively. Doesn't look like Dargo "couldn't get a start" when Higdon was there. Could Dargo have gotten a bigger move by staying with us? Of course but that's not to say he couldn't also have done that at St. Mirren where he was also collecting a larger wage whilst still playing at the same level and he was able to do this for a further four seasons. Doesn't sound like a killed career to me. Your point about him moving to Partick and Dumbarton is moot. By this stage he was 33 / 34 so he was hardly likely to be winning a big move at that stage of his career.

I'd be interested to know how it "killed his career". He might not have scored as many goals but he played as many games in three out of the four seasons he was in Paisley. It's not as if he went to St. Mirren and never played.

Craig Dargo
He was able to get paid, if rumours are to be believed, around 2 - 3 times as much money for doing the same job which will have allowed him to better provide for his family. How can you construe that as being some sort of mistake?

Craig Dargo
Yeah leaving one football team to go to another where he was getting paid more money will definitely be causing him untold grief right now.

Is Draper a Diver?
My take is that Guy smacks the ball out of his hand and it hits Draper in the face and he then goes down (that is pretty obvious). I think he has overreacted but I wouldn't say he dived (which I typically take to be falling over under no contact). Don't think it's worthy of a sending off to be honest. I think the referee could have consulted with his linesman to make sure.

Was it one of the red tops that promised financial armageddon recently?

Squirrel tips ICT to go down
To be fair, most of his predictions seem reasonable although he gives little evidence as to why Saint Johnstone will finish fourth and Hibs will sit 8th come the end of the season. Give or take a place, the rest of the predictions seemed fair enough but as others have said we all know the history of this guy so why get worked up over him?

I'm going to buy all the Ian Black pictures.

Sky TV and SPL agree deal for next 5 yrs
It's just a sign of Scottish football when Sky would rather broadcast Rangers v Elgin when they could have Motherwell v Dundee United battling it out for second spot in the SPL. I know full well why they are doing it but it's sad that our game has become so skewed.

Season tickets down 20%. Why?
Apparently Aberdeen have hit their target of 6,500 season tickets. That's not too bad given the horrendous stuff they have endured over the years.

Sky TV and SPL agree deal for next 5 yrs
Are they seriously showing five "The Rangers" games next season?

Totally agree. I just did a wee preview about ICT this coming season for When Saturday Comes and that was exactly my response to their question about where we will finish. Survival is always our main aim and perhaps we have been spoiled a bit by tending to finishing 7th / 8th. I recall a lot of talk about top six etc. but I think we are starting to become a bit more realistic now as to where our position is, certainly in this current climate and opposition.

Season tickets down 20%. Why?
Proctor might be touching on something here. Maybe I am getting all misty eyed over some of our previous players but I think a lot of us felt a real connection with the squads we used to have. There was an affinity there between fans and players. These guys looked like they really cared about the club as much as we did. Is that the same now? Very questionable to be honest. That said, the reasons why this may be the case might not be down to the players themselves and I am certainly not writing off the new guys.

Which, let's be honest, given our finances is where we would typically expect to be.

Season tickets down 20%. Why?
As I said in the Season Ticket Thread I didn't renew because I miss a fair chunk of home games that mean the season ticket works out at less value for money. I'll pay at the gate this season and head along to some more away games instead. At least I know I will get to the games.

SFL selling 25 live Newco games
They absolutely will not be doing anything like that.

U-16 Highland Derby
This has all been part of the Dennis Law Soccer (yuk!) Tournament hosted at Aberdeen Sports Village and Kings Playing Fields. Unfortunately, despite living not far away, I haven't been able to get along to the games due to work but I know a couple of people who did go. Apparently Motherwell and Dundee have been a cut above the rest, especially Motherwell. Should be a good final.

We are all going to the Global Energy Stadium
I don't really see the fuss over the name of their stadium. No one will call it that anyway.

I wouldn't class wearing Adidas as the marker for being "smart" myself.

Was that not when we beat them 1 - 0 in Inverness? I think after the game when everyone was celebrating Mann was asked what he thought of the fans and their backing that night and he replied, something along the lines of "Yeah they were great but it's a shame they don't turn up in those numbers every (other) weekend".
