I had forgtten we had signed Byrne.

Wouldn't say I hate any of them in the slightest but I certainly want to beat Aberdeen any time we play them. If we dropped to SFL1 I would obviously be desperate to win against Livi and County, the latter edging it just. As for Elgin - - isn't that more of an old Caley thing to hate them?

In true "nailing my colours to the mast" style I have gone for Not Sure. I think, of the names mentioned for the job that he is the best but that doesn't mean he is the best man for the job as such. I think we can avoid relegation though and he will give the whole place a huge lift. Additionally, anyone is better than Brewster.

Yes I know we have a bundle of relegation threads on here already but with the new manager in place this normally gives fans and players of the club a lift and a more positive outlook for the future. Butcher will certainly not have any problem motivating the guys and we saw at the weekend a much more spirited turn out from ICT. However, we still slipped to defeat and Hamilton pulled further away with an excellent away victory at Killie and now sit 9 points clear of us with St. Mirren 8 points ahead and only Falkirk in reasonable touching distance (2 points away). Is the relegation battle now just between ourselves and Falkirk? I feel that Hamilton are grinding out results when they need to and will be safe, perhaps even safer than I had imagined, and St. Mirren seem to do likewise and beat the teams around them to get the important points. But Falkirk are still there and we can still get past them. So can we over turn the deficit and haul ourselves up into 11th before the seasons end? Looking at their squad they have some creativity in McCann and O'Brien and some talented youngsters whilst also appearing to have one thing that we lack - a consistent goal scorer in Mr Amy MacDonald (aka Steve Lovell) but with Yogi under pressure, the lift we get over the next couple of weeks from Butchers arrival could prove crucial. I feel very that it is very much between Falkirk and ourselves and we do have enough to get beyond them but we need to turn in results against the likes of Hamilton, Killie etc. at the bottom of the league. Spirited performances against Rangers and Celtic mean nothing if we lose our bread and butter games.

I played as ICT in the 97/98 version and got them to the Premier Division simply by signing players who had 20 for shooting. Got into the UEFA CUp as well and signed the Colin Hendry regen defender. I can clearly attract big names to the club and lift them from the doldrums. I am a sure fire winner for the post

Is there any way we can have more U19, U XX news on this site? We only ever seem to hear about this kind of stuff through threads on the forum. Would be good if some of the fans that go to to the reserve games etc. maybe produce a wee snippet of information about the games these lads feature in.

The same club insider was saying much the same stuff to The Sun about the fines and docked wages etc.

Couple of things I've noticed in the papers: Imrie thinking what we have all been saying about the new guys coming in then CB getting sacked. Also, The Sun has generic *insert club here* insider saying that the relations between players and CB had broken down, players wouldn't sign new deals while he was here etc.

Aye Black will decide that playing for a better team in front of bigger crowds on a bigger stage for a much bigger salary isn't worth it and return to Inverness. Sorry guys - he's history now as much as it pains me to say it.
