HUN SMILEYMOMETER
Not a chance. Not sure how you garnered this from watching the game on TV but I can assure you Proctor was far from our worst player today. He made some excellent tackles throughout the game and, although I am told he was the biggest culprit at the end, he did well in the middle of the back four. One out of five is acidulous. Disagree. I thought Marcus was well off the pace. We seldom created anything of note down the left all day.

Ref Tomorrow
I thought there were one or two errors but on the whole a good performance from Richmond.

Peterhead V Berwick & others
Hate to disappoint the optimists but apparently Rory is not impressing the Heid faithful. Doesn't sound good if he isn't playing in 2 divisions below where ICT are.

Surely a "non stupid" person knows how to spell "embarrising" and "staduim"?

whats the crack with rankin?
Oh dear! I see he came on for Zemmama today. Good luck to him. Still think selling him is a mistake as we seemed to have a great midfield clicking together.

Fascist Fascist is a horrible website full of complete morons and troglodytes. Their way of thinking is hysterical.

Sorry. I'll make this more obvious: [sarcasm]What makes you think that?[/sarcasm]

I think Aberdeen pulled a "Hibs" there - getting excellent money for a woeful to average player. If I was Calderwood and I was told of that offer I would have driven Clark down the road myself.

They should be easy to spot with their St. Georges cross flags, can of Tennents Super, "tangerine" scarf and monobrow.

whats the crack with rankin?
A wide player doesn't even have to have a great deal of pace really to be effective/"good". Look at Agathe. A really bad player but because he had the pace to knock it beyond a player and sprint past he had the extra couple of seconds to pick out a team mate. Maybe a good pacey wide man is what we need?

We loved signing that! "Wise men say, only fools rush in..."

whats the crack with rankin?
I'd rather have Rankin than Marcus myself. Actually, if we were to continue with a 5 man midfield I would have the following midfield Cowie - Duncan - Black - Rankin - Marcus I actually think that is a fantastic midfield and it's sad to see it dismantled. Duff is an atrocious player. We better not go anywhere near him. Byrne could do a job at the back. He has been solid enough for Aberdire in the centre of defence. Play him at left back and he gets murdered by the opposition right sided player.

Top sex this season?
I can see this being moved to AG soon...

whats the crack with rankin?
Rankin is a better passer, can get past players better, has more of a threat at set pieces and is a much better crosser than Marcus and has a better shot. I think that both have qualities the other doesn't. For example Marcus is much more of an aerial threat than John. We aren't being linked with them are we?

whats the crack with rankin?
By Falkirk and St. Mirren. Hibs although were meant to have met it and gone beyond it. I haven't a clue about eBay anyway. I had to ask the person opposite me at work as he spends all day on it! :015:

whats the crack with rankin?
Am I right in saying that the highest bidder for the eBay auction wins the item or, in this case, wins the player? If so, why did the highest bid (which is more than the "reserve price" and trumps all other bids ) still get rejected? If you did that on eBay you would find yourself pretty unpopular. **** of a promise to make although obviously it's hypothetical. Of course, currently, ICT are reneging on that at the minute. If it were true of course :004:

whats the crack with rankin?
We're talking about someone who sold his house because he wasn't getting a game! I think that makes him sound pretty unhappy to me. I'm sure he would try and be as professional as possible but surely you can't argue that this would very well impact on his performances for us?

whats the crack with rankin?
Correct and while in the past we have laid the blame at the doors of other clubs the fact that yet again another transfer involving ICT is becoming a running joke/saga there seems now to be only one common factor involved in all them... The problem is ICT have been far too keen to "leak" details of the progress of the transfer to the press. The quotes and figures being banded about suggested that ?65k, the price we paid, is what they were looking for. Now that another team enters the fray with an even better offer we reject the other two, previously acceptable bids, but then go and reject the best one (from Hibs) as well. I think you could be right Kencar - perhaps they are surprised at the intrest in the player with most thinking it was just St. Mirren in the frame. I can only assume that Bennet et al. now believe that all three will happily fall over each other offering more than this ?100k that Hibs offered which, to be honest I don't see happening. ICT can only move the goal posts so much before the clubs get fed up and are no longer willing to part with x amount of money for the player. We should have told the interested parties what figure we wanted for John - meet it or you will not get to speak to the player. No releasing details of the bids through the press, just get on with it and sort it out behind closed doors with the odd "talks are ongoing" until the deal is either dead or complete. Again I don't think this whole saga will be endearing ICT to Rankin who already wants out. dead_ball_specialist - when have St. Mirren and Falkirk recently sold a player for 7 figures?
-
whats the crack with rankin?
Interesting that Bennet is now changing the clubs valuation of Rankin every single hour now. The "magic number" has now gone from "what we paid for him" i.e. ?65k to ?100k in a matter of days. If he keeps moving the goalposts there will come a point where clubs just leave it and we could be left with a very unhappy player on our hands who has made it very clear he wants to leave.

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
They could well have been the Dundee fans that I was next to on the train from Dundee. I got them (2 guys, woman and their kids) to come along to our game. I saw them back at Dundee after the game and they thought 3 - 0 was harsh. The woman said she thought Tokely was a rugby player :015:
