PETITION FOR EVERYONE WHO IS SHOCKED AND DISGUSTED WITH MIKE SMITH!!
I think the news that started filtering through about 4:15pm subdued the Pars support somewhat to such an effect that they just slumped into their seats :004:

PETITION FOR EVERYONE WHO IS SHOCKED AND DISGUSTED WITH MIKE SMITH!!
There weren't really that many Pars fans standing up though. Probably about many as our fans - i.e. about 8. When the Old Filth visit it's a different matter. 2,500 will stand up unchallenged by the stewards who will then also turn a blind eye to Old Filth fans in our areas of the ground (Yes Mike - still waiting on a reply to that email I sent you!).

Today's stewarding.
Personally I would throw half of you lot out for your inability to grasp the English language (the site has a spell checker!) but that's a different subject :016: Yesterday showed how good an atmosphere we can create if like minded people are allowed to congregate and sing/chant or whatever. Sadly when the rain came on and a lot of people in the singing section went back into the North Stand that reduced our numbers and it made it easier for the stewards to pick on the smaller group of fans without reprisal. All that was ever asked of us was to sit down in the seats. That's fair enough, in my opinion, but only if we are blocking someone else's view. No one's view was being obstructed yesterday afternoon so I am not too sure what the problem was there. There wasn't many of us, we were well spaced out and our section was, as a result, not over flowing with fans. Actions of the stewards - hassle and intimidate young fans who merely asked the question we all were thinking about asking "Who are we offending by standing up?". Answer - "You're out!". Contrast this to an OF game where Celtic/Rangers fans stand throughout the 90 minutes, spill over into the aisles, rush down the stand when they score and invade the pitch - resultant action from the stewards - nothing. It is very much one rule for Home fans and another for Away fans and it is one that is adversely affecting Home fans - they won't get behind their team because they know they run a risk of getting thrown out by an over zealous steward.

Buchanan Wants Caley Chance
Ones we could never match. He will go to a Championship side or an L1 side who will still be able to outbid us.

Easily enough room. You'll probably out number the Home fans as well.- Season tickets
Does the smoking ban not extend to this forum? :018: :016:- Buchanan Wants Caley Chance
Have you just....quoted my previous post as a response? :017:- Season tickets
Very interesting and very welcome!- Buchanan Wants Caley Chance
Perhaps writing him off was a bit harsh but certainly appeared to be an element of doubt in your post about his ability. Neither did half of our team when they made the step up to the SPL. Not regular experience of the SPL anyway. Gary McSwegan? :016: But this guy clearly does. He wants to go full time, he wants a move. He wants to improve his game.- Buchanan Wants Caley Chance
Marcus has done fine since stepping up and a lot of our team made an apparently impossible step up from SFL1 to the SPL. Granted we are talking about 2 steps up here but it can be done (see Marcus). I don't think we should be so quick to write off the guy because he plays in SFL2. He will be moving on to a bigger club sooner rather than later. If we want him we should move for him. Oh, text speak is ghey.- St. Mirren v ICT - All Ticket Game
Not much I can do from Aberdeen man. I'm going to give Nod money on Saturday to get mine.- Buchanan Wants Caley Chance
30 something Martin Johnstone who is in the 3rd division?- St. Mirren v ICT - All Ticket Game
We'll be getting the normal away stand AFAIK.- St. Mirren v ICT - All Ticket Game
No idea. Unless someone from the club comes on here to clarify your best bet would be to phone the stadium.- Pars Singing Section _ Bring it on.
I'm going to come along and rustle sweetie papers very loudly :001:- singin in the rain
The players on the pitch often are worse than what you hear from the fans.- St. Mirren v ICT - All Ticket Game
