Perhaps you can ask Ancelotti what the **** he was thinking when he resigned Ba from a French 4th division team!? The Duck will be a good signing hopefully.

    Quote Code

Just noticed the thread in the Mods forum. I'll shut this now.
  5. Even when hitting the "Quote" button the quote box still breaks up. Over to the boffins!
  6. Chanting abuse at the steward really helped matters then didn't it? This seemed to be the best description of what happened that night.
  7. He does seem to still be a very creative outlet up front for us but he does need to bring in some goals. I wonder if the formation would be rejigged to perhaps have him playing a more "advanced midfield" role?
  8. [quote author=alimci link=topic=4820.msg75150#msg75150 date=1190025299] Possibly Malkowski has his moments, but I think a lot of our victories over Hibs were helped by him. The game where he passed the ball out to Dargo was a classic :015: Was that where he kicked the ground before the ball which then trickled out to Dargo?
  9. [quote author=Yngwie link=topic=4816.msg75031#msg75031 date=1189955604] [quote author=Alex MacLeod link=topic=4816.msg75019#msg75019 date=1189953968] Think we still hold the record.......mid week league game against Dundee U at Pittodrie November 04 Crowd 1125 I was at midweek games againtst Dundee and Utd at Pittodrie, and I would be amazed if the actual attendance was much more than 500 for either. Fantastic games :001:
  10. Fair play to any Gretna fans who come up for this one!
  11. Should do. Maybe a wee bit after two though. Have a look for the draw on the SFL/SFA website (I think that's where it is).
  12. Looks like a case of car crash interwebbery going on here.
  13. Would agree with most of that but there would come a point (hopefully not though) that if the tried and tested lot don't get the results we need then freshening things up and getting a couple of players, who are eager to do a turn for us, would be a good thing.
  14. Not often therefore I would change the way we play i.e. cut out the long punts up to him or at least aim them away from the defenders so he can chase the balls. Both are pacey players (Dargo and Deano) and we utilised Dargos pace well in the previous 2 seasons. I think we could do the same with Dean. Depends how Brewster will want to play though. Perhaps not the best phrase to use after playing Hibs... :confused02:
  15. Very interesting thread indeed as I have long wanted to go to Canada. Some good stuff here that just makes me want to go even more!

    Is That It?

Not seen Watt play but I think I would take Caff over him given his injury problems. He will be very rusty. Surely Caff hasn't been playing as bad as folk are suggesting?
  17. Never seemed to be an issue for Dargo.

    Is That It?

I would agree with that to be honest. McGuire will do a job for us and is better than Bamba - I've no idea why half this forum were so obsessed with getting him in. The guy is rubbish and even Pars fans can see that.
  19. For goodness sake.
  20. I don't think you can really include Morgan. I think that Xander would be fancied ahead of Morgan to be honest. McBain also doesn't really offer as much as Xander would do out wide. he is certainly much more of a central player than a wide man. Rankin and Paatelainen fair enough though. Much the same on the right - Cowie and Hart I see as more central midfielders. Hart has shown to be particularly effective in the middle and Cowie appears to be a fantastic box to box midfielder but I don't think he is so well suited out on the right. Wilson however is a "real" wide player. Basically I don't see why, when we really don't have that many proper wide men, we are shipping out an exciting talent like Xander who can cause some real damage coming on. He is pacy, tricky and could give defences a real handful. We have plenty of midfielders that's for sure but not all of them are particularly well adapted to playing out wide.
  21. Utter garbage. We have a ridiculous number of options in the centre of midfield but very little out wide I feel. Rankin can do a job on the left but I think he is best in the middle. On the right we have Wilson and...... Marcus and McBain are not good enough I feel to deputise.
  22. From what you are saying I would imagine that he was standing down at the front asking the guy to come off the wall so he didn't have to walk up to him and through you lot in the process? I would imagine also that the first person to be thrown out was because of the swearing in the song?
  23. Thing is I don't think there has ever been anything saying people in the SS can stand up. If they get asked to sit they need to do so. When they don't things escalate and if you get a steward like the one last night then things just get worse as tensions rise. I would prefer it if they could stand up but sadly it seems some stewards will tolerate it a wee bit while others just wade in seeking confrontation. Perhaps this guy would be better employed at the next game against Rangers/Celtic/Aberdeen. Given that he is only too happy to fire into the crowd to get folk to sit down it sounds like he could be some use in the Away end.
