hearts game.
That's if of course. Has there been any offical word on what's happening?

Time to stop raiding County!
How does it violate "fair play"? :017:

forwards, or lack of them !
Kenneth is awful IMO. Is he really seen as a future Scotland player? Any time I have seen him he looks slow, clumsy and generally off the pace. Might have improved since then but I think he culd be a weak link.

hearts game.
The situation with the earlier fixture at Tynie was that it was all ticket but there was very little warning of this. If this is to be repeated I hope the club make an effort and get the word out as disappointed fans nearly missed out last time had Graeme Bennet not stepped in to secure some tickets for them.

forwards, or lack of them !
Both Barry Wilson and Marcus P can play up front remember.

Cowie stripped of captaincy
I hope so. I expect at least 3 goals from him.

Hartley - Off to Rangers, no wait its Celtic, or is it.....
Disagree- shock! There is (or at least was) clearly something not right at Tynie. Pressley, Gordon and Hartley didn't like the way players were treated along with some of the coaching staff and so they spoke out. Why shouldn't they? It's their careers that are being meddled with and they need to stand up for themselves now and again.

Last day of the transfer window...
I would love to have seen a couple of new faces in as well Gary but as I have mentioned, and I'm pretty sure CC operates under the same principle, if the players available aren't as good or better than what we currently have then there is no point signing them. No one actually knows how much we got for Brown. The figures reported vary between 90k - 150k. That's a big difference. Factor in Rankin and Marcus (can't spell the 2nd name yet!) and that is ~ 75k going out so we could have 75k to play with in terms of transfer money or we could only have 15k. Would that money not be better being invested in trying to secure players who have done so well for us this season at the club for longer? Tie up Dargo on a longer deal perhaps? I'm pretty sure they dismissed the notion of a 4th stand didn't they? If we have it has been minimal. Most times we have turned in a profit it has been down to the compensation received from Hearts and Dundee United but I could be mistaken. Certainly we've been operating in the black in the last couple of years but that's because of the generosity of Thomson and Robinson(?). Remember we were looking at a potential return to part time football had it not been for investment from Tulloch and also winning a place in the SPL not so long ago*. *Someone might need to clarify this as again I could be mistaken but I am sure I read that somewhere.

forwards, or lack of them !
Do you honestly think that CC didn't try and get someone in to cover injuries?

Last day of the transfer window...
I think Ridgers has signed on loan with a permanent deal kicking in at the end of the season. By all accounts Smith has been freed to go to Clach. I'm sure would have loved to get a striker in. I am also sure he would have loved to have sneaked in ahead of Milan to sign a "podgy" Brazilian but just because he wants to doesn't mean anything will happen. He might have had some ideas but sadly they never came off. I bet he tried though.

Cowie stripped of captaincy
Cowie isn't likely to play the team he is signing for in the very near future.

Last day of the transfer window...
The only reason we have turned in profits in the last couple of years has been due to compensation received from our managers leaving to go elsewhere e.g. Brewster. It's not a case of if we get some cash from a transfer then we should look to spend it. The club will need that revenue to cover any operating losses incurred throughout the season. If anything, instead of paying transfer fees for players I'd like to see any spare cash (if there is some) used to increase our wage budget. In the days of Bosman transfers the fee is often not so much of a stumbling block it's more the agreement of a wage between player and club. As for off field developments I can't see a 4th stand being on the agenda until we can fill our current ones for Non OF and Aberdeen games. However, perhaps they could use any additional revenue to boost advertising of all things ICT in the town?

Last day of the transfer window...
Yes it's exciting but there is no point in the club bringing in folk just to keep the fans happy. I think the squad we have will be fine. Yes we need cover up front but we do have midfielders who can play further up who can tide us over until Dargo and Wyness return.

Hartley - Off to Rangers, no wait its Celtic, or is it.....
Scary thing is that Hearts fans still think this is good for them. Seem their best players and bring in folk in on loan from Kanus (11 players now at least!). Hearts are going backwards under Romanov IMO.

Last day of the transfer window...
Bit harsh on CC here. A few folk were saying that McSwegan will be a valuable signing for us - now would be a good time to prove the doubters (like me) wrong.

Cowie stripped of captaincy
Interesting. The County fans reaction to this transfer is quite funny. Some say now that Cowie isn't really that good anyway.

Cowie joins on pre contract
Predictable. Could Black be penning the Hibs deal now?
-
And another thing
The stewards job is to ensure crowd safety correct? Seems they will happily wade in to confiscate that 'deadly' can of Irn Bru a little kid brings in but with Celtic fans appearing the Home end gesturing to the Home fans and winding them up they seem to be somewhat hesitant to do anything. Why is this? I have no complaints about Stewards enforcing the "Sit Down" policy at games but when the club has clearly stated it will not tolerate Away fans in the Home sections of the stadium why do the stewards not carry out their responsibility to ensure "crowd safety"? As Caley D says it's the consistency issue here.

golly at livi ??
Yeah I think it was on here a while ago. He was meant to be going to Peterhead but that fell through at the last minute for whatever reason and he headed for Almondvale instead.

Cowie joins on pre contract
Amazing how many County fans suddenly think he isn't that good all of a sudden! :015:
