Celtic v ICT ticket prices...
Don't Aberdeen have the best Away support outside the Old Firm? Self proclaimed of course but probably true. Also, do Aberdeen not also charge OF teams more when visiting Pittodrie? I know we have now gone down that route.

A Special CIS Thread
Surely the time is right for Murray to tell the fans that a former favourite "wants to sign for them when his contract is up" at his current club?

A Special CIS Thread
Supposedly a demonstration outside the ground by some of the Old Filth fans of the blue persuasion :015:

A Special CIS Thread
I know there is one already from last night but let's all take a moment to laugh out loud (or lol as you youngsters like to say) at Rangers Football club and Paul Le Guen :015: :015: :015: And a big well done to Saint Johnstone and Savo Milne :001:

Whats going on??
I honestly don't think they would have scored anymore than Bayne and Dargo to be fair. Anyway, given that our current style of play is long ball playing Dargo and Wyness is a bit daft. However, as we saw against Falkirk if we pass it around a bit more to mix it up with the occasional good ball into the box then Wyness becomes a lot more effective.

The Constant Hooking of Dargo
I can only assume you have some kind of vendetta against Bayne as you seem completely incapable of giving the guy praise.

Whats going on??
*coughs* We did that in the 2nd half and look what happened. Well done Graham Bayne :003:

The Constant Hooking of Dargo
Agreed but I thought last night he was chasing and harrasing the Dons defence as they tried to play it along the back. He was getting right stuck into tackles and covering across midfield trying to break up Aberdeens moves forward. I thought he did it well and was much more like the Dargo of last season. Bear in mind under Brewster we were really fit and maybe that was part of Brewsters tactics - to press and unsettle. Maybe CC doesn't like the forwards to press as much - I don't know.

Stewart McKimmie
McKimmie is a bit of a sack though really isn't he? The EE is hilariously biased even for a local paper. I personally think that Aberdeen fighting for top 6 is a joke as I have NEVER been impressed with Aberdeen over the past 2 and a half years.

Black Back?
Normally I would say yes but Duncan did a good job last night. He wasn't great but he broke up the attacks and played the ball well. He did what he had to do and because of that there is no reason why he should be dropped. I disagree with Rankin supposedly having his best game though. I thought he was pretty annonymous for large parts of the game.

ICT V Aberdeen - matchday thread
I thought that we played really well in the 2nd half and think we deserved to win. As pointed out above stand outs were Bayne, McBain, Dargo, Munro, Hastings and Wilson who was MOTM by a country mile. Hastings was solid throughout the game but his one little lapse cost us 3 points when he stood off hart just a bit too much which proves just how cruel football is. Munro was fantastic in defence clearing the ball from the foot off an Aberdeen player on a couple of occasions. McBain was really good as well but seems to have the freedom of the pitch and hardly ever seemed to turn up on the left wing where I thought he was meant to be, Dargo harried the Aberdeen defenders and did exactly what we should have been doing by closing people down and not standing off them. Bayne won so many headers and held the ball up well. Wilson - what can I say!? I thought that was a vintage performance from the guy. He was everywhere, absolutely everywhere. Going back to McBain being posted missing on the left it was Wilson who appeared there to provide an outlet for the attack and he was equally effective on the right. He helped out the defence and was always available to get attacks going by offering himself for the defence to find him after an Aberdeen attack was repelled. He was simply outstanding.

Dons end - ticket sales are slow
That was a brilliant Away support last night from Aberdeen and the fans that travelled through should be applauded. There was easily 1,500 there minimum.

Time to bring Caff back?
Personally I thought against Mirren while he was solid in the challenge his distribution was God awful and any pass he made went right back to a Mirren player and brought the pressure back on us. It was the same last night although perhaps not as bad. I think he should stay in for Hibs but maybe another iffy performance might have CC thinking...

1,000 Dons fans coming through supposedly.

Progress in contract talks
Charlie Christie was also quoted as saying that at some coaches conference at Gleneagles (?) he was speaking to Sir Alex Ferguson and he told young Charles that it took about 18 months to fix one of his big names up on a new contract :010:

Andy Jones
Hopefully he is a defender/midfielder/striker :003:

CONGRATULATIONS CHARLIE
It was rather humours! Well done Charles :001:

Wilson Promises More
One game always stands out for me with regards to this debate - the final game of the 2003/04 season v Saint Johnstone when, in the first 25 minutes, we passed them so far off the park they'd have been as well going on a dolphin cruise in the Firth. We utterly destroyed them and I have never seen an ICT performance like it this season and yet we are doing better than ever!? :017: :015:

Don's Tactics
The biggest problem we appear to have at Home is trying to play counter attack while at home - long balls and sitting in. Doesn't work when the opposition are doing the same thing most of the time - see Dunfermline, Falkirk and St. Mirren for examples. That's what we need to change. Not the formation. Lets pass it, keep the ball and try and draw them out like what St. Mirren did to us on Saturday and we all saw how much they destroyed us in the 2nd half and were at times unlucky not to get a 2nd goal.
-
Mourinho
Similarily, their reaction after Gallas left was nothing short of disgusting.

Dons end - ticket sales are slow
Certainly not a road I want to be driving along full stop! A guy died today in a crash on a good bit of the road near Huntly :007:

Don's Tactics
Exactly - so why change it? Likewise, you along with others have been very positive towards the teams eprformances and rightly so but the formation has to be changed? Doubt it. Is this a hint of boo boo coming out here Gary? :016: And I totally agree but you know the best way to do it? Pass the **** ball and get rid of this long ball stuff. Mind times when we came up against Hibs - the best passing team in Scotland™ - and we have destroyed them? By out passing them and we did this with 4 - 4 - 2. That's what we do best when we play to our strengths. So lets do that! :001:

Wilson Promises More
Spot on Scotto. You have to wonder why, if the fans could see it wasn't working, the players weren't getting along with it and with St. Mirren pounding us, we didn't stop playing long ball and change our style of play?
