  1. ^^^ perfect example of how easy it is to get anything into the papers as a rumour.
  2. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/spfl/15320523.Stevie_Aitken_focused_on_Dumbarton_amid_Inverness_link/ Can't imagine there is much in this? I'd be surprised if we were able to pay compensation to get someone in.
  3. So the club appear to have confirmed that Meekings is away despite the player seemingly being unaware of this yesterday. What the hell is going on!?
  4. I think that would place something of an administrative burden on the club unless it could be managed online through the e ticketing system? Log in, select and save your seat or a seat by a certain time and then when it comes to match day it's not available for general sale? I mentioned it a few months back but Aberdeen were selling tickets for games where you saved money if you bought them weeks in advance (again a bit like bagging a cheap train ticket). So if you say buy a ticket for the next home game in two weeks time you save £5 on the walk up price. Obviously that's just an arbitrary figure as you would need to be careful that buying 'advance' match tickets didn't undercut your season ticket holders but it could be something else to try out. And like the advance train tickets if you buy one at the discounted rate you don't get a refund if you can't make it.
  5. It's pretty basic but here are how our prices compare against others in the Championship. There are a number of caveats to this mainly that I just went for whatever clubs termed Adults and Concessions. Other categories like U16s or U12s I didn't bother with and some clubs separate out students from Concessions. It would have gotten quite messy to have so many categories so I stuck with just the 'main' two'. Also, these are the cheapest tickets available to purchase so these are likely to be for stands or areas behind the goals. No family package offers are included either. Main point is that ICT have easily the most expensive tickets in the league. Maybe not surprising but compared to clubs like Falkirk who probably boast much better stadia and facilities I can't help but think some of our fans will be left wondering why there hasn't been at least a few quid taken off the prices. ETA: The Falkirk prices are wrong. Should be about £20 - £25 higher. Those are last years prices.
  6. Agree with this idea however, depending on how it is implemented, it potentially means taking a seat out of use for an entire season just in case someone decides to show up every now and then. The club won't know if they can sell it on the off chance there is a high demand for tickets. I guess the obvious thing to do, and I'm sure you would have said this anyway, is to offer these tickets without the guarantee of a particular seat and you just take whatever is available on the day? A bit like the super cheap advance tickets on the Scotrail trains.
  7. Most of this is already in place in some shape or form to be fair.
  8. If it's a Scott Burns article he is normally pretty reliable. Not always right of course.
  9. So maybe Meekings isn't away just yet then
  10. I used to go with a group of guys regularly. There were typically two rows of about five or six of us. Now I'm pretty much the only one who still regularly goes to home games. Obviously life gets in the way what with marriages, mortgages, kids etc but I generally agree with Renegade there. That's about 8 or 9 fans who have just stopped going to games now.
  11. I'm taking it to mean anyone out of contract, on loan until the end of the season etc. has been let go.
  12. Looks like Fisher is away...
  13. I'm not even sure we are. These stories have probably just lifted names off this forum. It's surprisingly easy to get a made up rumour into the press.
  14. Good blog by @hislopsoffsideagain on why it was the right thing to remove Foran from the managers post. http://nareystoepoker.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/richie-foran-leaves-inverness-horse.html
  15. Cheers Chris. I see Barry Wilson getting stuck into ICT and yesterdays statement. Not much I disagree with here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40088740?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_sportsound&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=scotland
  16. If Calderwood got anywhere near the front door of the stadium I'd be more than likely not to go to a game. His disgraceful bullying of a young lad at Aberdeen (maybe Killie I can't recall at this time) was utterly shameful.
  17. We won 3 out of the 5 games we had left when Malpas returned but two of those were against teams that had nothing to play for so I'd be wary about trying to link his return with an apparent upturn in our fortunes.
  18. Not the first time a quite ambiguous statement has been released regarding our manager...
  19. Agree he should have left after that Hamilton game but I don't think we can read too much into the last few games. We were playing against sides with nothing to play for. Maybe this seasons experience could have helped for a season in the Championship but we simply have to get back to the Premiership. Within reason I don't care who is in charge so long as we get back up but I can't say with certainty that it Foran would have delivered promotion. Good point. It wasn't just his time as a manager coming to an end, it could well have been the end of his time at ICT and he barely got any real acknowledgement of that. Shame. As sad as it is to see him go it's the right choice.
  20. Other clubs are making signings, getting season ticket info out or have folk renewing and where are we? No idea of the manager is staying or going, no info about season ticket info and players futures seemingly in the balance. Bizarre!
  21. Quick rating of those games from a #CaleyAway perspective Dundee United - meh. Done it loads of times previously. Will be good to get a pint with Bobby Mann again though. Brechin - might not be the easiest to get to but probably a 'classic' away fixture. Should be fun. Livingston - gads. St Mirren - easy enough to get to but nothing special. Quite like their wee ground. Falkirk - gads. Queen of the South - ooft. Some journey even from the central belt. Fair play to any ICT fans coming from further afield. Morton - Should be good. A relic of a ground but that's part of the charm I guess. Dunfermline - meh. Not too far too travel I guess and some reasonable pubs nearby. Still not a classic away game. Dumbarton - I thought for years that Dumbarton was between Edinburgh and Glasgow Quite looking forward to going there*. *But of course I'd rather we stayed up. As nice as it will be to go to some different grounds it's not worth the pain of relegation.
  22. Anyone know if the shop is open tomorrow? I'm tempted to head down to grab one of the new strips before heading back to Edinburgh but as time is tight I don't want to head along only to find it closed. Cheers!
  23. This is a fair point. Two of our wins from seven this season were against teams who were barely trying.
  24. Ah well I didn't see that. Not saying it didn't happen obviously. I was too busy staring blankly off into the distance of the Moray Firth to really notice anything
  25. I've seen some mention of this on Twitter but I think some of the YT who were protesting outside were seeing some of the supporters in hospitality after the game not directors or anyone like that. That said I was quite surprised at the mood of some people in hospitality. There were a lot of sad faces but a surprising number of folk laughing and joking. I suppose everyone reacts to things differently in fairness.
