  1. ;) sorry but for me thats a mile off the mark.sanchez was immense. some of his passes were absolute quality and he was pulling all the strings from midfield to attack.in general, we pished all over morton today and they barely had a shot on target other than the goal.excellent display all round.delighted for rooney also.top drawer finishing is it coincidence that we win at home when mike smith gets the heave?
  2. yes its not remotely ict related but seen as this is,i think, the busiest forum, its a good place for it. many probably seen this wee girl on the news, if not, she's basically got 11 days to live unless they can raise half a million to go to new york for treatment that gives her an 80 or 90 percent chance of survival.their half way almost now to the total. story and donations: http://www.sophie-appeal.org/index.php

  14. Spot on. not really.i'm not delighted where we are just because we've had success in the past. we did that cos we deserved it and because a city the size of inverness should always have a decent team at the top level.its not our right to have it but its our right to demand it
  15. the reason we are so bad at home in my opinion is atmosphere or the lack of it, and for that i blame the club and spl regulations. over the past few years we've been subjected to: - over the top stewards -allocated seating -badly thought out designation of family sections -tannoy announcements about unruly behavior etc -poor treatment of fans by the club -bad p.r. etc etc some of this was unavoidable, some was not but quite frankly its no fun going to the games anymore, its a chore, and i dont just mean because we always seem to play crap.the club have taken the fans for granted for too long and now its biting everyone in the ass.until they do something radical to improve the atmosphere then it'll never be a fortress as it once was. i dont buy all this about teams coming here and sitting in. almost every team this season has come here and played us of the park.even yesterday, a decent performance by recent standards, the pars looked the better side for large spells and were not here to sneak a draw. i dont buy its nerves either, although the fact that most of our bored disheartened fans get on their back too quick doesnt help matters. i dont think i've seen so many of our fans more willing to have a go at each other than the away support ever and when your surrounded by whinging gits with no interest in having any football banter then no wonder. if you look at our best home performances in recent years they've usually been big games, near capacity crowds and better atmospheres.there's nothing quite like packed sections to help the atmoshere and if the club got of their ass and left a whole section behind the goals unallocated where like minded noisy foul mouthed barstewards like myself could go without too much hassle we'd get some and we might even drown out the whingers while we're at it.
  16. we didnt play too bad i thought in what was a pretty dull game.good performances from golly, proctor and cox i thought. was disappointed to see foran subbed as he seemed to be just coming into the game but we did look more threatening with rooney and sanchez on, even if rooney missed the usual 1 on 1.sanchez seems to have good battling qualities and wins the ball a lot of the opposition. tokely still subdued looking but defence looked solid enough. on the whole though we're still struggling to create much in the way of clear cut chances and dont have a striker that will rival the likes of griffiths or harkins for goals and on that basis we're heading for a mid table finish
  17. sutherlands patronising mug
  18. The same could be said about all you folk who slag off Duncan every week. What level have you played at, and how many years have you been watching? Because when I keep my eye on him, I see the very opposite from you - Duncan working extremely hard whether it's him that's lost the ball or somebody else. So what if he thinks he's better than he actually is. He never hides unlike a few others that 'grace' our midfield especially this season, and he gets stick for gifting the second goal to Buchanan last week despite the fact he was the only ICT player within 30 yards. Never mind just Stratford, I think people should be looking at the darling of the fans, Cox. What's he done for the past 6 or 7 weeks? i've given russell and others some deserved and maybe some undeserved stick in the aftermath of the pishy home performances but i'd have russell in my team and stick macbain in with him. some of the criticism of him here is way over the top and if he was daft enough to read this forum i'm sure he'd know half the stick is out of pure frustration and the other half is just wrong :D
  19. Exactly ! couldn't agree more. The basis of our team which was constructed by Paterson was built from "local" stock. Butcher, in trying to build his own team, is plucking guys from England who basically can't get a game down there. i agree, and its something that i'm suprised more people aren't picking up on.we have an unprecedented amount of 'foreigners' , english, irish , spanish, latvian ... , and it reminds me of a few years back when a lot of scottish clubs were bringing in foreigners that weren't any better than what we had. that cant be said of all our signings but we've definately lost our 'soul' in the last few years and thats one of the reasons i'm glad at least gollys back because our back 4 has a real local look to it again, well 3 anyway!
  20. the club should just take the bull by the horns and clear at least one section behind the goals of season ticket holders and leave it as unallocated seating where people are welcome to sing, curse and whatever. women and children and sweetie rustlers can be given a nice cosy section in the main stand or at least to the far side of north stand. also complaints about foul or un p.c language should be treated with a large pinch of salt. this is football, if you dont like it go watch something else. and then i woke up
  21. So, did you feel tough swearing at the lady? The one that is so high and mighty? does "arses" even count as a swear ?
  22. from memory we've had 4 shots on target since april, not sure how many of those were today but i'd guess maybe hayes got 1
  23. for me the atmosphere has been garbage ever since we went all seater at all but maybe a half dozen games. this is not a dig at the lads who do try to create an atmosphere, i wish there was more of them, but there's simply not enough like minded souls able to sit together due to the allocated seating and the fact that the stadium seems to have more than its fair share of total moronic fans strategically dispersed and who would be better suited to staying at home playing tiddlywinks. i include the serial moaners in that bracket also.for instance one old muppet in section e next to me has been shouting abuse at esson since he arrived.is he blind or what i dunno but it does get on my tits that so many cant support the side during the game at least.the booing of lional v tinks was another for me, thats a feckin disgrace imo regardless of the fact he was having the shocker of all shockers at the risk of sounding sexist, but in all honesty i dont give a sheite, the amount of women and children at the games nowadays doesn't help either cos from what i see a lot of them do the tut tut ing at the swearing, certain songs etc etc.while i'm at it , whichever num nuts thought of putting the family sections where they did in the north stand also has a lot to answer for.
