Kilmarnock -V- ICT : matchday thread
The belief's here all right. I believe you need to be locked up before you hurt yourself if you think we are one of the best teams in the First Division. Dundee, Ross County and Queen of the South are all better than us. Although we beat Partick Thistle recently, had their first choice starting eleven been available for selection, they would have absolutely horsed us. I will reiterate my earlier point, we are not even close to being a good team. For that to change, we need the money required to bring in a centre back, a left back, two central midfielders, another winger and a striker that can take the chances that he's given. Does a team that needs all that sound like a good one to you?

I'll give you Munro and Hayes. Proctor doesn't know what he is - a perfect example of a "jack of all trades, but master of none". Foran has regularly been head and shoulders above the rest of the team at the start of the season, but when did he last have a good game? We constantly punt the ball to him and it's all a little predictable. I'd also like to see this 20 goal promise that he made materialising. Rooney would be satisfactory if he would take the chances he's given. How many one-on-one's has he had this season and how many of those has he scored? Given the chances that he's had this season, a decent striker would be well into the 20's so far.

We're not even close to being a good team. We defend woefully, we're impotent up front and our midfield can't control a game. Esson aside, which part of our team would you even describe as satisfactory?

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : matchday thread
I can remember when we used to be a good team. Or at the very least - difficult to play against. Sadly this is a distant memory and the way things are going, the only way is down. We will not improve until we get investment. No one will invest in us because Sutherland owns the stadium and the land.

Stadium ownership
The story is clearly too big for Murray. We need someone to grab the story and then go to town on the Board.

Two goals in the space of five minutes? Where have we heard of this problem before? Still at least we strengthened the team in the transfer window, eh? Oh wait, no we didn't...

There was far too much hype surrounding this game. Did anyone honestly expect anything other than a Kilmarnock win?

Is the re-building process under way?
Funny indeed. In all seriousness though, add Niculae to that list and you have the "How not to handle football contracts" best seller by best selling author G. Bennett.

Is the re-building process under way?
You mean "not the clubs assets to strip... anymore". What about the playing assets that have been effectively stripped from the club as a result of entirely incompetent contract management?

Is the re-building process under way?
If by "re-building" you mean "asset stripping" then yes, yes it is well under way and going according to plan

New announcer dude on the park
I can see what you're saying, but the way you've gone about it is poor IMO. I doubt that CaleyD's goal was to get sacked from his position as stadium announcer.

Nothing like taking a post out of context is there? :wave01:

Walking the ball into the net
Does no one remember Sanchez's effort from outside the box in the second half. If it wasn't for Tuffey's fantastic save, that'd have been goal number 2.

But the question is, why? Why does he want to put money into a sport that he has no interest in what so ever? Why now? Why not while we were still in the SPL with a chance of staying up? As you've said, it appears that certainly a lot of the fans (I wouldn't say there's a majority) are onto the Tyrant and his asset stripping skulllduggery - however until someone very very rich (or someone that has compromising photo's) steps up to the plate, there is very little - perhaps even nothing that the average ICT fan can do about the potentially club-ending problem that we currently face.

Boardroom Banta?
The board room stopped bantering. While a few questions did get a proper answer, all too often the muppets either gave a politicians answer, skirting around the question asked or they just plain refused to answer. The idea could have worked, but they kind of needed to answer the questions in order for that to happen.

So the tyrant's at it again. is he? Pretty pathetic stuff really. Really just proves my point the other day that there isn't a competent person sitting on the Board of Directors. How do we start a vote of no confidence in the whole lot? Or do we actually need someone to take the Tyrant away from his position of "absolute power"?

Bulvitis away?
If true, then credit where it's due. And indeed to who it's due to. I'd still like to see a Centre Back (Bulvitis is not a centre back) and a centre mid that can dictate the flow of a game.

Defender on trial
It's obviously a bit beyond Bennets "ability" to come up with a contract that contains a promotion clause. Clearly the only sensible option open to us at this moment in time is to offer all the guys that we want to keep a contract based on life in the First Division but include a clause that says "if we get promoted, then you'll earn x% more than your First Division wages"... Or is it just me that see's this?... :tonguecheek: I'm f**king embarrased to be an ICT fan right now. Our board are beyond inept, beyond incompetent. Just the mere fact that the likes of George Fraser and Graham Bennett have the brass neck to call themselves "Chairman" or "Director of Football" of our club, makes my blood boil. How dare they fail to act in their positions of responsibility to see that our club succeeds? The only thing we can be sure of right now is that change is on the horizon. As it is, the club simply cannot continue under the despotism of the tyrant, Sutherland. If this continues, we are doomed and the change will be: club, no more. Alternatively and all together a lot less likely, a saviour can emerge from the shadows where he layeth in wait to give the tyrant an offer he cannot refuse. That change will at least prolong the life of the club, but the question would then be, for how long?

Imrie
Quite. Nothing at all to do with the fact that he just plain can't do anything against the smaller teams? Good grief. Either you have a faulty keyboard, or you need a spell checker.

Pffft! Have a word with yerself mun!

Merged: I BELIEVE.
Because it's clearly not going to happen. Here to help

Merged: I BELIEVE.
The penny finally drops. Realisitcally, we're f**ked. We need someone to buy out Sutherland. Sutherland won't sell unless he's made an offer he can't refuse. So either we need someone with monumental amounts of money willing to throw it at a football team, or we need compromising photographs...

First public signs of our economic woe?
Barrowman is one of the ones on the way out. It was agreed months ago.

Wash your mouth out with soap! Filthy language like that!

Hopes that Bully and Duff can stay
Interesting that Butcher claims there is no truth in Barrowman being offski when sources close to the man himself say otherwise... One of them is a liar...
