  1. That's not a strike rate. Strike rate is number of goals scored from shots taken. I'd put money on Rooney having one of the worst goals from shots ratio in the country, never mind the league.
  2. To be fair to Barrowman, he was hardly ever played. When he was played, he was either played out of position or didn't receive the service he needs. Rooney appears to be Butchers favoured striker - but why? I'd be embarrassed of his strike ratio.
  3. You're deluded. Rooney is a poor striker, no better or worse than Andy Barrowman. Give us the table of stats on the divisions attempts to goals ratio. I'm sure that will tell a very different story. Rooney is a poor striker playing for what is at the moment, a very poor team indeed.
  4. If you want to play with semantics I suggest you don't do it with me. IMO we are not a good team. If we were a good team, I wouldn't find it a chore enduring the cold to watch unentertaining "sport". This season, all that has kept me going back is the craic with my mates. You can disagree all you like about whether teams are better than us or not. The fact is, we can't defend well, we can't attack well and we can't control a game. All the signs of a team that really isn't very good.
  5. The belief's here all right. I believe you need to be locked up before you hurt yourself if you think we are one of the best teams in the First Division. Dundee, Ross County and Queen of the South are all better than us. Although we beat Partick Thistle recently, had their first choice starting eleven been available for selection, they would have absolutely horsed us. I will reiterate my earlier point, we are not even close to being a good team. For that to change, we need the money required to bring in a centre back, a left back, two central midfielders, another winger and a striker that can take the chances that he's given. Does a team that needs all that sound like a good one to you?
  6. I'll give you Munro and Hayes. Proctor doesn't know what he is - a perfect example of a "jack of all trades, but master of none". Foran has regularly been head and shoulders above the rest of the team at the start of the season, but when did he last have a good game? We constantly punt the ball to him and it's all a little predictable. I'd also like to see this 20 goal promise that he made materialising. Rooney would be satisfactory if he would take the chances he's given. How many one-on-one's has he had this season and how many of those has he scored? Given the chances that he's had this season, a decent striker would be well into the 20's so far.
  7. We're not even close to being a good team. We defend woefully, we're impotent up front and our midfield can't control a game. Esson aside, which part of our team would you even describe as satisfactory?
  8. I can remember when we used to be a good team. Or at the very least - difficult to play against. Sadly this is a distant memory and the way things are going, the only way is down. We will not improve until we get investment. No one will invest in us because Sutherland owns the stadium and the land.
  9. The story is clearly too big for Murray. We need someone to grab the story and then go to town on the Board.
  10. Two goals in the space of five minutes? Where have we heard of this problem before? Still at least we strengthened the team in the transfer window, eh? Oh wait, no we didn't...
  11. There was far too much hype surrounding this game. Did anyone honestly expect anything other than a Kilmarnock win?
  12. I thought the worst (read as funniest - there's a direct correllation here) rumour was the one a couple of summers ago where Barcelona's Bojan was going to go to Celtic on loan for an entire season. That still cracks me up.
  13. And therein layeth your problem. Line quality isn't great and will likely impact on any internet performance. I trust you are unable to use the likes of Youtube or BBC iPlayer without constant buffering of the video stream?
  14. Not the greatest, but that doesn't look like it should impact on Xbox Live. Try running PingTest (You know it's easier if you just post your result window using the "forum link" button - like this)
  15. What's your connection speed on your broadband? Use Speedtest.net and use the Milton Keynes server for a reliable reading on BT broadband.
  16. Funny indeed. In all seriousness though, add Niculae to that list and you have the "How not to handle football contracts" best seller by best selling author G. Bennett.
  17. You mean "not the clubs assets to strip... anymore". What about the playing assets that have been effectively stripped from the club as a result of entirely incompetent contract management?
  18. If by "re-building" you mean "asset stripping" then yes, yes it is well under way and going according to plan
  19. I can see what you're saying, but the way you've gone about it is poor IMO. I doubt that CaleyD's goal was to get sacked from his position as stadium announcer.
  20. Nothing like taking a post out of context is there? :wave01:
  21. Does no one remember Sanchez's effort from outside the box in the second half. If it wasn't for Tuffey's fantastic save, that'd have been goal number 2.
  22. But the question is, why? Why does he want to put money into a sport that he has no interest in what so ever? Why now? Why not while we were still in the SPL with a chance of staying up? As you've said, it appears that certainly a lot of the fans (I wouldn't say there's a majority) are onto the Tyrant and his asset stripping skulllduggery - however until someone very very rich (or someone that has compromising photo's) steps up to the plate, there is very little - perhaps even nothing that the average ICT fan can do about the potentially club-ending problem that we currently face.
  23. The board room stopped bantering. While a few questions did get a proper answer, all too often the muppets either gave a politicians answer, skirting around the question asked or they just plain refused to answer. The idea could have worked, but they kind of needed to answer the questions in order for that to happen.
  24. So the tyrant's at it again. is he? Pretty pathetic stuff really. Really just proves my point the other day that there isn't a competent person sitting on the Board of Directors. How do we start a vote of no confidence in the whole lot? Or do we actually need someone to take the Tyrant away from his position of "absolute power"?
  25. If true, then credit where it's due. And indeed to who it's due to. I'd still like to see a Centre Back (Bulvitis is not a centre back) and a centre mid that can dictate the flow of a game.
