  1. loaned out by Celtic for about 4 months to cover for Alan Combe when he was injured then released when he returned to Celtic as surpus to requirements.
  2. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=when+are+scottish+league+fixtures+released will provide the answer for you in the very first link.
  3. I have updated the payments that have come through and looking in our admin area and it seems we have a few marked pending .... for these no payment has come through but the system has generated an invoice. see below Tichy Blacks Back - not sure if you had a problem but the process from 9th June is marked pending. ictbob - not sure if you had a problem but the process from 14th June is marked pending. RossP - you were subscribed last year and the system seems to have generated a renewal invoice for you. you can renew this way or you can cancel that and add it manually when ready (as noted above). Homesickjaggie - you have already added a new sponsorship this year and the system has generated a renewal from last year. If you want another sponsorship membership just pay it, otherwise you can cancel this renewal. You can manage purchases/subscriptions etc here: http://caleythistleonline.com/clients/purchases/7-player-sponsor/
  4. yeah - got a few came in over last couple of days that I need to update ... will do it now
  5. I am friends with Big Crawford on FB and his reaction was somewhere between ambivalence and mild irritation with a side order of thoughts of winding a few folk up. Like many his life seems to have moved on and an ICT win just didn't register that highly on the Richter scale for him.
  6. indeed. perhaps now in this 'kickstarter' and 'gofundme' era it might be easier .... when I tried it was going to involve monthly direct debits and people baulked at that idea when you handed them the DD form. A single anonymous donation is so much easier ...
  7. not a novel idea ... I initiated a 'pay a player' scheme for ICT back in the Paterson days (its even referenced in Ian Broadfoot's book). Everyone loved the idea but ran a mile when it was time to actually put the money in .... luckily it ceased to be an issue as the timing coincided with the arrival of David Sutherland who alleviated that financial abyss ........
  8. So did I. I've been following/posting on CTO for the best part of 15 years and this is definitely the worst layout I've seen. Perhaps you may want to start a new thread in the support section to discuss your issues with the new layout rather than sidelining this one. I did ask for volunteers to give feedback on the proposed changes on three separate occasions during the design process over the last year and almost nobody could be arsed ! those who did give feedback were mainly positive, especially those trying it on mobile or tablet computers (almost 30% of our users) which are now handled properly with a responsive design. Happy to discuss the issues and change or tweak things here and there but V4.0 is a complete re-write of the software so we wont be reverting to the old version.
  9. Was able to find it in about 3 seconds using the search term "world cup". please note that "world cup" will bring up a different set of results to world cup (without quotations). The first will look for the phrase world cup, the second for any posts with world OR cup in the post.
  10. ... but instead of scoring Adam Rooney forces a spectacular save out of ex-Don Ryan Esson
  11. Having watched summer football in MLS for the last 9 years I would say its definitely a good thing. There are drawbacks but the benefits to the customer far outweigh those. Things are only as complex as you want to make them but OK Neil, lets have them ! Mmmmm .... UEFA and FIFA operate year round and there are plenty of dates in August-May that are also not available. If we are not currently playing in summer then we can work with whatever dates we can and just as we do now we can make sure nothing is scheduled for mandated UEFA or FIFA dates. How are we going to handle the 2022 world cup if it stays in Qatar? its basically the same thing with the FIFA competition moving instead of the league. Sorry, I dont see how one follows the other. 38 games in a summer season is surely the same as 38 games in a winter season except that we are likely to have less postponements due to bad weather? What is wrong with working backwards (something he should be good at) and because you know when you want to finish you can easily figure out when you have to start. It has been a good number of years since Scotland qualified for one of those, and we have less foreign players in our league now than in the past, so the point may be irrelevant ... However, having witnessed MLS in 2014 when 16 of the 20 teams had some players away on world cup duty it was not an issue. MLS shut down for two weeks during the first stage of the World Cup and then started up again during the knockout stages. Games were scheduled not to conflict with the major matches like the QF/SF and finals. Looking at the list of compensation payments from FIFA (they paid £1770 per day to clubs who had players at the World Cup) only 4 Scottish teams were affected. Celtic (Samaras, Forster, Izaguirre, Ambrose) as well as Hibs, Kilmarnock and Hearts who all seem to have had payments but no players listed in any squads.
  12. Financially, Europa is a burden until you get to the group stages. Yup, seems like a huge gulf. Qualifiers get between €120,000 and €150,000 for Q1,Q2,Q3 and the final playoff round but as soon as you reach the group stage you are guaranteed not only that payment but also €1,300,000 plus 'performance bonus' based on points gained in the groups as well as a payment based on the TV market in that country. We are guaranteed €130,000 (about £95K) so here's hoping the travel costs dont eat that up.
  13. cracking player for us at the time, and always thankful for his contribution to the cause, but time has moved on and so have we. has picked up too much baggage on and off the field at his last two clubs to entertain the idea of a return.
  14. have added you in. no worries. we hope to confirm with the club by end of month so the timing should be ok.
  15. Just for you ..... it should be back. The new version of CKEditor supplied with the forum upgrade is (purposely) bare bones as there are typically keyboard shortcuts to do the same thing.

  17. Its time for Player Sponsorship for the 2016/2017 season. PLAYER TO BE SPONSORED: To be confirmed but main sponsorship likely to be the same as last year which was LIAM POLWORTH Home Top. If we reach additional milestones we will look to add sponsorship for other players for 'lesser' items.: COST This is still to be confirmed but we will base it on last year's costs. Home Shirt - £350 +vat (420) Away Shirt - £250 +vat (300) Training Top - £100 +vat (120) Boots/Gloves - £100 +vat (120) HOW TO TAKE PART To take part in this sponsorship you will need to upgrade your site membership and join the "Player Sponsor" group. We in turn will use the money received from these memberships (minus paypal fees) to purchase player sponsorships from the club. The cost to join this group is £11.00 (this amounts to £10.00 joining fee plus £1 to cover the aforementioned paypal fees). You may purchase multiple memberships if you wish, just amend the total in your shopping cart and add a note when placing the order if it is to cover family members who may not officially be site members !!! NEW MEMBERS: To join the group simply go to this page http://caleythistleonline.com/store/ or access the CTO Store from the main menu at the top (under features). All our site membership upgrades are handled securely via Paypal which will accept direct payment from the majority of credit/debit cards so it should be easy enough to upgrade your membership whether you live in Sneck or somewhere thousands of miles from there. RENEWING MEMBERS: You can either use the same process that new members use or, as some have done already when they got a reminder email and invoice, you can do a simple renewal from your account. Go to http://caleythistleonline.com/clients/purchases/ and you should be able to renew from here. If you do not want to renew simply ignore any reminders and you will not be billed. CASH MEMBERSHIPS: It proved to be a bit of a hassle when we last did it so we do NOT take cash payments. Everything needs to go through Paypal. Once we know how many members have joined the group, we will make a decision on what gets sponsored. The first item will be the selected player's Home Kit ... but the more members who upgrade to "Player Sponsor" membership, the more we can sponsor. At the end of the season, members of our sponsor group will be selected at random to receive any gifts we may receive from the club and the first selected user can - if they wish - attend the sponsors' event held by the club as our representative. If you are interested, please add your name to this thread or go ahead and join the sponsor group. You will be marked as once we confirm payment received via membership upgrade .... EDIT: Just to clarify a couple of points .... Technically the payment is listed as a 'subscription' when you pay, but that is internal to this site only and is done this way so that in a year's time it will generate an invoice on here allowing existing members to renew (if they wish) or to let it expire. Renewal (or not) is at the user's discretion and as far as paypal is concerned its a one-off payment and there will be no automatic re-billing from their side. The "subscription" runs for a year and you can renew 10 days before it expires. As some people subscribed early and others subscribed later, the invoice may not be in your account yet. If it is not, and you want to renew, just send me a PM and I will edit your expiry date. We are still looking to make the expiry June 1st of every year. I edited the transaction list so all subscriptions end on 11/06. This has meant the invoices are generated. Renew from within your account (or not) ... it will only allow you to renew whatever you had before so you have two options if you want to change quantity ..... renew the subscription and order another OR cancel the renewal and just place a new order for the quantity you want.

  19. until

  20. yup, if you had mentioned video then the answer would be the same as further up the thread. video has so much more overhead in terms of processing that you should just upload to youtube and then add the url directly in the post
  21. looks like the max post size was smaller than your image. I have increased it. but for web display 21Mb is a huge photo, i would recommend you do resize it to 1600x1200 or slightly larger .... saves bandwidth and storage space !
  22. sorry, maybe my brain is fried as its end of the week but I dont understand what you mean
  23. Assuming you are in the UK or have access to a VPN you can view the full 4 hour BBC programme on iPlayer but be quick as i think it expires from iPlayer tomorrow. you can also download it (legitimately) but it will expire in 30 days due to DRM embedded in it. Not sure if that can be removed or not.
  24. Scotty replied to wynthank15's topic in Caley Thistle
Yes, he would have to play for free after all the abuse he aimed at ICT and its fans. Think both sides should just take a pass on this. its a toxic relationship in both directions and would do no-one any good. Besides, as you say, not so sure he would improve us.
